Meet Blood of Thunder
Another bit of bait from the Predator Kings.
IC Date October 29th, 2014
IC Time Late Evening
Players Trekome, Revi, William, Xaviar, Connor, Danube,
Location Central Downtown
Spheres Gaian Garou

Trekome has gathered the available of his pack, and filled out slots with those others available, gotten transportation while everyone going saw to their own personal preparations. Arriving outside the general area about 3am they find a massive square block of the underground parking garage with each compass side having narrow two lane dice ways descending into it's depths though three are blocked with large shipping containers and the fourth seen to by a security guard. Otherwise the place is abandoned other than the occasional rare homeless, passing late not traveler, and more frequent heavy construction truck from late night work happening a few blocks up which use the street as a pass through. This the setting..

Trekome looks back at the group in his new Tactical Tahoe (upgrade from the Super Secret Squirrel Suburban) and clears his throat. "Alright, ladies and gents, here's the sitrep."

"We had one of our kin kidnapped a week ago that we had to go in and rescue. When we got him, it turned out that the same group kidnapped his wife and child. They've decided to continue on this game and are testing us again by baiting us with the family. Family is located at the bottom of the parking garage up ahead, and the key for their release is located with the enemy's lieutenant. It's a death trap, and we're forced to walk into it or let the kin's wife and kid die."

"Actual composition of enemy forces and total strength is unkown, but last time they had hidden snipers that could wash away our gifts armed with silver ammunition, bears turned fomori, and some Spiral version of a ratkin that struck from nowhere. Expect nothing less than the same: enemies that can strike out of nowhere, fuck with our gifts, and soak up damage like a sponge and giggle." &r&r "We're going to have to rely on sticking together and focusing our efforts on enemies to bring each one down quickly. We can't afford prolonged fights or having our momentum slowed. Fighters to the front, healers in the back, and supporting fire working the flanks. That means Revi and I will be taking point, William and Xaviar in the back, Danube where she can hit from the shadows."

"I've got SWAT cordoning off the area right now, with the inside cordon comprised of kin from my tribe, so we'll have the area isolated fairly soon. The outer perimeter is going to be non-kin, so don't go past the first half of the block if you leave the parking garage. Translation: nothing gets out, and don't let anything get out. Gear up, shift up, and do final gear checks. Once I get the all clear from the teams we roll in quickly and quietly and start clearing out the garage."

"Situation will dictate where we'll hit them, but the north entrance looks to be the clearest. Danube, I need you to confirm before we move in. Any questions?"

Shadow's Glass looks at Trekome like he is nuts a moment and hten shrugs as he continues putting a medicine bag around his shoulder and a gourd on his hip tieing it around the waist.

Connor was a Fianna and of course did not go to war under dressed. He was topless of course, his entire form covered in deep blue woad, his pants were loose fitting and in tartan pattern of his family. About his waist was another coil of the tartan. His normally long hair has been spiked up into a huge mohawk. Subtle? Not this guy.

Mends the Bones rummages in a backpack stuffed between his legs while he listens. Pulling out talens and handing them out and activating one for himself. "Got it. You kill things and I'll keep you up." He's stuffed inside the car, waiting for the moment for the door to be opened so he can spring out and stretch.

Revi smiles which only looks like a snarel on crinos teeth. Ahourns go in first! she would beat her chest and give a mighty rawr if they were not trying anounce themselves. This is going to be a Ball for her, better than sex, though don't tell her Mate that. <<ready when you are, Ryha>>

Everything goes smoothly for the most part. The group is all prepared, gets there with no problem being intercepted, the Swat and kin are moving out as well to surround the area.. And then Swat turns back on countermanded orders from above. Seems there is a possible terrorist smuggeling threat at the docks with a reported bio weapon trying to be imported. Such a coincidence and shame that will come to nothing. Sure everyone here will be shocked to hear that later.. The Sherif's department assistance keeps along with though. So the parameter is pretty thin but exists.. Arriving and checking. yeah those shipping containers are filled with scrap from construction, pretty obviously to funnle entrance to the one way in.. Should anyone take the time to peek across.. Ohhh boy it's a Skrag fest over there, not the way to go.. Just umm no.. If herded or with something used to draw them, yeah there is just a flow of various rage, murder, and dark based Banes hanging out over the parking garage.

Nightshade shifts down and as ordered scouts her shadowed form around while the vehicle does this.. She even flits behind the security guard's post to check the entry ramp before returning eventually. A soft whisper from floating blue eyes. "No traps above ground."

First-to-Fight is thoroughly surprised when he hears his team report in that the other teams have bugged out on another call. That can't be good. He calls in to the security teams, "Double up on traps and hold tight. Load up on silver ammo and fix iron bayonets. Make sure to get solid interlocking fields of fire to mitigate the gaps in personnel."

Trekome gives a nod to the rest of the group and steps out of the vehicle to go to the back and get his gear and weapons. "We roll out in five mikes. If y'all have any comments or concerns on the plan now is the time to voice them; otherwise silence is consent and we roll in how it was briefed." He does a quick function check on his weapons before whispering to them to wake the spirits within them, then shifts and does a quick function check of all his gear to make sure it's on snug. First to Fight looks at Danube after she reports, << Is there any way in other than the obvious death trap of a funnel?>>

Revi nods to her bow <<figgured I'd be going hand to hand since we are heading down in the building. I will sling this and take with, or leave it here?>>

Shadow's Glass looks over at Revi,<<Shoot the first thing that comes and then put it down... I'll cover from the back end you just worry about the front. If things go dark at all let me take point, that's where I'm the best.>>

Mends the Bones gives two big thumbs up then slips the pack onto his back. Mostly medical supplies. He glances around at the others and sniffs at the air while he looks for things unseen. <<Works for me.>>

Nightshade frowns at the sooo nicely named 'death trap of a funnel' because yeah.. <My advice as is always, cheat, never play honorably by anyone set of rules that you do not set yourself.> How he chooses to implement that here though... <Decide what you are meant to do, what is absolutely imposable, what counter's your own goals, then do anything other than those to kill an enemy's plan?> RP Room 10

First-to-Fight crouches down by the side of the vehicle and hmmms. <<We can't level the place... and going in through the Umbra is worse until we thin the numbers on this realm. Doubtful we can draw them out... wait, can we draw them out to the funnel and take them down piecemeal?>> he asks Danube, << If they haven't blocked our ability to shoot /over/ the walls we won't have to engage them from inside immediately.>> He looks at Revi, <<Hold onto it; we might need it for the first few enemies.>>

Shadow's Glass itlts his head, "The only other option is to dig..."

Mends the Bones points up. <<Can someone burrow? Come in through the top.>> He leans in a little towards First to Fight. <<And why is that guard here? I know why one is normaly. By why now? Seems like an he's there on purpose.>> Shadow's Glass tilts his head, << I can but it will be slow going..>> He mentions, << I'm good in the dark though keep us from going in circles and what not.>> He takes a moment as he tilts his head waiting for someone else to volenteer.

Revi gets that antsy bob on her feet eying the wall. she impaciently shuffles waiting for the others to plan and tell her where she needs to go and who she needs to kill. nope... not the brains of the operation. but at least this time she stays in place.

First-to-Fight shakes his head to William and Xaviar, <<Can't tunnel unless you can claw through six feet of concrete and rebar. Stairwells are blocked by the containers, and they probably aren't hollow either. We can push them out of the way, but that means we're wasting time in the open, and it'll take three of us if they've filled them with anything other than pillows and rainbows. That guard knows to expect us and will signal the rest to come to us. Can't risk enemies getting past the entrance or staying near it too long or someone will notice us since we can't cordon off the area completely now that SWAT is forced to give up half the men used to secure the area.>> He looks towards the containers again. <<We drive up, kill the sentry, exit the vehicle, and move the container to get the stairwell unblocked. If we move the container forward and /in/ it'll block the ramp and prevent enemies from easily getting to us... we'll be forced to fight in a tunnel, but that just means we can't get swarmed. I'll park the vehicle so it blocks anyone from seeing us move it, then everyone moves the container to block the entrance and we move down the stairs quickly.>>

Connor rolled out his broad shoulders, huffing out a breath as he awaits the moment of action. His claws drum out a steady beat on his thigh as he listens to the plan quietly

Pretty much all of that works just fine. The nice civilian minimum wage employee walks up all helpfully after putting his book down and gets abducto-murdered with no problem at all. And then something interesting happens which almost avenges the poor guard. The group is moving out to get the container rather than standing there talking to the poor murder victim. As an engine sound gets louder... The Swat-kin can do nothing about a loaded dumptruck.. Coming down hill... At 80mph.... Had Trekome's plan be to sweet talk the innocent human or just.. Stay in the piece of fiery debree that is now pinballing down into the guts of the parking garrage, life would have sucked for everyone.. On the other hand.. no need to drag the container over to block that exit as the wrecked dumptruck wedged like a cork is doing nicely... .... Or to put it another way.. What sounds like distant thunder becomes a roar of engine asd about ten tuns of metal hate catches air on the down ramp. Somewhere a Wyrm is pouting at a whole group of Gaians not turned into burning sludge as their vehicle is obliterated and sent tumbling away by the battle ram that suicides to block the entrance uselessly.. Helping Trekome's own plan.. The Gaians easily have time to camoflauge their moving the container enough to begin entering the stair well. Down and around the spiral stair case into darkness that molests you, probes, licks, pushes at throats and tries to strangle, flowing at mouth and nose. Dark like being drowned in pitch that almost deafens and smothers with cold hatred. And through it the muffled woomps of a choirs of shotguns cascading, likely into the burning wreckage that a single choice kept the group out of.

First-to-Fight hears the rumbling, and then loud crash, and can only think 'Fuck, I liked that Tahoe...'. He knows that they probably just barely dodged a rather grizzly end from whatever happened just outside the stairwell, if the sound of metal being slammed and twisted and gunfire is any hint. The stairwell itself is... no, this just isn't right. He should be able to see, even in darkness like this, so something is very /very/ wrong. He grabs a chemlight from a pouch on his vest and snaps it before tossing it in front of the group to light the way, which he's probably going to regret very quickly. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Fuck it, let's do this, bitch.

Shadow's Glass tilts his head as he walks down the stairwell, into the inky blackness the garou uktena has a creepy grin on his face, "Welcome to my favorite places to hangout." He says as he continues down into the darkness, "Hmm. Me like.." He says as he continues down.

Connor frowns a bit, his gaze narrowed and his nostrils flared as he wanders down with the rest of the group << Isn't this a fun ta do..>>

Mends the Bones would have probably survived a little longer then the others be quickly stepping sideways. Only to be killed over there. He follows staying in a central position, one that lets him gets to everyone as quickly as possible. He swats at the darkness a few times to se if it'll have any effect.

Of note Nightshade was one of the first to the container, having ran right into it hard when the explosion and crashing began. Did not see that coming and the near apocalyptic thunder is not the kind she is use to, her throat having felt clenched when fire and metal wisks by so very close, bouncing often off of her armor. Stalwart is not her thing. She normally loves all things dark, cold, creepy and Tim Burten but... This is just waaay much. Dagger in hand and her charm bracelet arm extended, finger caressing a black twisted coin. She says nothing, trying to merge with the dark and hide among the other shadows. Off to the side to flank and attack hopefully from the rear as is her way and per orders.

Shadow's Glass says, "The shadow is alive I would suggest someone got a lighter or flashlight... Light up where we are going."

Revi gets well out of the way of the crash and looks comepletely perplexed <<did that just happen?>> which is an odd sound of arhoo? in crinos.

First-to-Fight nods to Revi, <<Good thing I still have the Suburban back at home... poor Tahoe.>> He gets another chemlight out from his pouch and snaps it to help get some more light, or at least try to, while the group keeps moving cautiously. Nope, definitely doesn't like this. At all.

The group creeps along, pretty much needing to feel their way, finding pillars and the like. Fully in the Stygion black.. It literally fits this mess, like swimming in an umbral realm of dark almost. You can feel it train you, weaken you, pull life out of you. An average mortal would likely fall and die from it's embrace. Omnomnom Clemlight's light gets eaten pretty much immediately. You can even hear it being dragged off in different directions as if being fought over.. By the shadows????

Reloading happens elsewhere, wreckage checked, no bodies found.. Meanwhile, other things can see in the dark.. The feel of the black mass shifts and the sound of boots tromping at a hard tun begin, though sound sooo far off, further than is possible.... Like a tide pulling back, the main mass of darkness washes away as if an almost liquid wall to reveal you to.. And ofcourse them to you.. Three teams of 3 each mercenary looking troopers. Heavily armored, carrying semi auto shotguns.. And while a fog like layer of dark floats about the ground, occasional wisps reaching up to grab and distract there are three masses of obviously solid tenticles of pure night that stretch high and quivering, reaching into combat..

Too many guns too close together. Like lightning, Mends the Bones charges forward as mercenaries level their shot guns towards him. He can go back to support when he's not in imminent danger of a withering hail of shotgun rounds coming his way. He growls as his claws dig into the concrete to propel hmself forward and rakes his claws along his target with a spray of blood.

First-to-Fight snap shoots a round at the group of mooks that run at him once the darkness moves away, just to miss by a hair. It's enough to make the group think twice about continuing the charge though; or maybe that's the fucking DRAGON that Connor summoned to help them. In any case, he doesn't have enough time to ask because the group suddenly takes off, whether it's to try to chase the dragon or because the dragon is chasing them is unkown. He fires off another snap shot at the freaky tentacle things, because he refuses to wind up like a Japanese schoolgirl, though he figures this'll be much worse if he doesn't do something about them. And hey, look at that, they bleed! It's on.

Mends the Bones stops for a moment to look over as a dragon materializes. That's new. But he sees things all the time. Every minute of every day for as long as he can remember. New things aren't so new to him. As tentacles whip out at him, he ducks his head and pulls up his shoulders to wade in with his claws slashing out at them.

Shadow's Glass swipes as he closes his eyes into charlie team, barely leaving a mark but he did as he growls, "Damn Lasombra Die!"

Connor shows another version of his summoning, this one some sort of Celtic calling, poetry or riddle. An odd thing to doo, seeming to be chimage for a spirit or the like, best guess. And then a FREAKING DRAGON appears out of nowhere. This just throws everything into chaos as it stomps each set of claws into the ground, leans in and ROOOOAAAARRRS at the gathered troops. The smell of released bowls taints the air while fighting continues. And when the troops break, Connor swinging weapon and dragon breathing flames, follow into the bowls of the parking lot, disappearing over the lip of a ledge, leaping below.

Revi has cought the eye of one attacker which isn't surprising as she is brightly colored. Her plan is to get the vamp to the ground and then rip the upper part of his head from his jaw. But then she is attacked by tenticals? <<Do Vampires do that?>> she gives another Arhoo? along with a head tilt. No time to wonder too much as they attack. She's seen the internet, she knows that they are up to! she bobs and weaves one and the others can't get a hit on her worth a damn. They do piss her off though, Things. Must. DIE! and die now.

Nightshade , that is to say floating blue eyes growls as she moves about behind one of the soldiers. Blood erupts from the middle of one Merc as her sickle shaped dagger dam near cuts him in half somehow from kidney to kidney before sinking back into her flowing shadowy form. The dance continues, various shades of black striking at a clump of tentacles but underestimating the things and not calling on the power of her fetish again, only one dissipates. A tactical error perhaps with the new item or as likely distraction with the OMG FREAKING DRAGON!!! That after the near flying dumptruck... Nightshade is going to shake for a half week straight after this. <This was... Too easy.. Vampires do not fall to blades like this..>

First Trekome sidestepped the Dumptruck trap that would have dumped the ad-hock pack down into the kill zone to be possably murdered in the burning vehicle... Now Connor summons a Dragon and chases all the soldiers away ending the fight before the expendable humans can even cull any of the pack!? The way the wall of physical thick black bursts back forth to fill the underground with such a quick, violent motion shows the rage at defeats so far. Plunged into the soul leeching blackness, heavy foot falls approch and back tickeling screeches begin as if the dark were clawing the air in rage. "Now, you all die....." It comes from everywhere but is close... The true battle begins!

<<Well..fuck.>> Mends the Bone's ear swivel around and he sniffs at the ari as the darkenss is back and more things come in. ANd he apaprently gets the attention of ALL the tentacles. he'll be too busy for much else but at least it leaes the others free to fight. He wades into the sea of writhing tentacles and swings a claw. Tearing into one of them.

Mends the Bones lifts his arms to shield his head from the tentacles flailing at him. He ducks and jukes, dancing around the tentacles and enduring thair strikes. he reaches over his shoulder to grab a small ghourd and criching it between his clawed hands then rubbing it over the wounds caused. he ducks down low and jams his claws into a tentacle, tearing his claws and screading it as he raises up.

First-to-Fight can't see shit right now to shoot, so he does the next best thing: lunges pointy side first. He sinks his claws into whatever it is that's swinging at him and digs into flesh. He immediately tears at that flesh once he feels blood slick his claws and fingers, even as he feels something rip open his own flesh. It doesn't make him stop from digging into the thing again though, and it's a mix of luck and skill that he can jump off the wretched thing that's toying with the shadows to avoid getting caught by another blow from an ax.

Revi wanted glory. Revi wanted battle. but never signed on for the ax in that back. Thats what she gets for going to help a friend. As she is tarring away at a tentical trying to have it's way with one of her team one of the varry varry rude Vampire sinks an ax into her back! no worries she has sparkaly stuff. she breaks the vile over her wounds and goes to maul the rude vampire. Oh Sure, she gets a clawing in, before getting axed again. seriousely how many times is she going to have to pull an ax out of her. Only the efforts of her team keep her on her feet and truthfully, the Crinos mostly looks annoyed.

Shadow's Glass whiffs one hit and with a grunt breaks the nail on the other vampire... He just looks at his hands and shakes his head in fustration as the claw regrows on his hand.

As the black flows back over Nightshade she is only mildly discomforted, dealing with this much better than the explosions and the like. Even fighting blind she can understand and react to axes swinging with the power to half cleave cement colons in half. And this fight she is much more ready to battle. Still and centered she waits in the shadows, feeling the motions of advancing steps only to step into the approch, her blade sweeping out to near decapitate her foe on the first spin. Pressing the advantage she begins to parry and work at him, dancing behind to stab behind her, body to body style seeming to work in the dark as one foe falls then she moves to her alpha with a leap, blade sweeping for the bastard that he worked down to the last inch of lift which gets severed on her way to break open a breath of gaia talon on the hurt Fury. Lacking any sort of rage in combat, she is simply a flow of cold hate behind blue eyes and silent blades. THen a single enemy. <Sad to die... All alone... In the dark.>

The battle begins well enough.. Ish. Several blows were struck and harm done but not near enough for the price they have paid this night and the battle has turned against them.. Axes streak the dark, whole clusters of tentickles flail at the healer to keep him away from the front but the front does not fall as expected even when one turns back to help the rear.. The dark ripples as each Lasombra dies, clusters of tenticles wink out as their massive armored forms and huge axes collapse. Now him... A hate and fear filled bellow echoes in hollow challenge as the battle continues, knowing there is no chance for surrender or even escape..

Revihas had enough of this shit. Stick and Ax im ME Twice will you! The Crinos Roars with rage and is done playing poky poke with Mr. Lasambra. the Color Clad Black Fury barrles at the vampire, taking him off his feet and slamming him into the now crispy truck. Flames move up and engulf them both, and the vampire screams as things inside him break, the crumpled car stabs him and the flames consume him. Revi steps out of the inferno, smoking, but otherwise unharmed. That dress is going to need mending however.

Nightshade sees this is the end and grins, not than any can really see it. She ducks in low and steps past, gutting the vampire in passing to dance back out as she and the temp-pack mob the Wyrmy thing, making room for the next. Readying to defend another as she grows exhausted from powering her weapon so much, she instead gets to feel it torn at and then... Removed? THe darkness collapsing she blinks, shielding her sensitive eyes from the sudden light only to see Revi's barbecue. This makes the Shadow Lord begin to laugh canine chuffs. <Wonderfully done all.>

Mends the Bones sniffs the air as Revi get's axed again. The smell of blood tells him that it could be serious and her scent tells him who it is. He turns his back on the tantacles and follows his nose to her. Reaching out to heal, just as she runs off with the vamp into an inferno. he blnks a few times and looks around when things clear up. Watching for more possible enemies.

The last vampire is raising his axe to try decapitating Revi, her attack leaving her wide open to it had she not finished him. The metal ruin of the truck opens his armor which can now be seen worn, full riot gear, and let the fire inside which quickly burns out what little hold on unlife he had left.

Victory well earned! Lots of garou blood on the ground but the enemy slaughtered, some here, others by dragon fire down below. All that is left is for each to heal while pulling the remains together, the rites of cleansings enacted, and then body / evidence disposals dealt with while the child of the officer is rescued. Comfortably and carefully put under well away from the darkness, he is found sleeping and unaware of what happened, not even having been tainted. A prize given in surprising honor from spirals.
