Location Zimzala Surf Bin

River slips into the shop with her own board in hade and she looks around and says "Coool."

Daize is busy folding some of the tees on the middle kiosk table. It's the Zimzala Surf Bin 'gear'. Nothing too crazy. Just some self-promotional ware. She looks up from her table and smiles that lopsided grin of hers. She holds up the shaka gesture, "Aloha!"

River grins and waves as she says "Heya!" She walks over and says "Brought my board for some new fins." She then grins and says "Tha place looks amazing by the way. I love what you have done."

Daize looks over her shoulder towards the big screen as if she's looking down the barrel of a wave, "Yea, it's totally awesome." She laughs her laugh, but then looks to the board, "Oh, you're looking for some fins? Rad!" She wanders through some of the center kiosks. "We got several brands here." She gestures, "Take your pick, man."

River board is pink and yellow, mostly yellow. She smiles and says "Help me pick some out??" As she looks to you offering the big eyed puppy look. She then grins and says "I trust your judgment and I can easly aford any of them here."

Daize smiles with a shrug, "Well, I guess what waves are you looking to surf with the new fins, man? Bigger fins will give you more speed and control, but like the smaller ones will give you more wiggle rooms for carving turns and new school tricks."

CJ walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

River says, "Ah Im not the best yet. I juuust gradiated to the short board a few weeks ago to tell you the truth and no sense in kissing the hangmans daughter just yet out there on the waves.""

Daize nods her head, furrowing her brow. She grabs a couple of the fins that would match the color of the board. "If you're surfing the shortboard, then you'd need some high performance fins, dude. No sense in going big with the short, you know?" She laughs merrily at that. "You're not gonna go barrel riding on a short."

River laughs and says "I try something like that at my skill level and my friend is gona skin me alive for even trying it. Now do these snap off or need replacing?"

Daize looks a little confused, "You should have a fin key to pop the fins off." She then tilts her head, "If you lost it..." She holds up the fins that she's offering to River as if she's looking for the key in the packaging, "Uh, yea..." She grins, "This has a key. You should be good to go, man. Just pop 'em off." She grins, "Can never have enough fins, man."

CJ's arrival is preceeded by three little girls running in to the shop. One of them turns around and faces CJ as the woman walks in as well, "Is this Eevee and Dizzy's place?" The child says as she looks around.

CJ replies with a smile. "This is their place, yes. But you can't run around like wild animals in here...It's a store." River looks to the little ones and beams a smile as she is clearly a sucker for little kids. She offers a wave and grins. She then looks to CJ and says "They are adorable." She then looks back to Daize and says "Might hook me up with two keys and a few sets of fins then."

Daize looks over to the kids, smiling fondly at the little tykes. She doesn't seem all that upset by the running in the store. Heck, she would run in the store if she could. She gives the new arrivals a shaka gesture, "Aloha!" She then looks back to River, "Each fin will have a key, so you'll have plenty of keys." She does though grab a few other fins that have a different rake or angle than the first ones. Setting her up to have a vareity. "There you go, chica."

Yvette walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

The two white-haired girls return the sign and both say "Loa Dizzy." The little brunette just gives the shaka. "Momma says that we can get boards!" This is Lily. Both her and Alison are smiling broadly. "Do you have not grown up boards?"

CJ smiles. "Need two boards and to find a comfy chair for Willow...She'd rather read...Or get a ride on your board Daize." River dosent quite squeel but she does wave to the little ones and says "I so wish I had little ones." She then pays for her gear and sets her board out of the way as she watches and just leans against the counter for now.

Daize beams brightly at the little girls wanting boards, though she does spare a glance upwards to CJ and nods her head to CJ. She gestures to some of the beach apparel and other beach goods to the right of the store, but then focuses her attention on Lily and Alison. She holds out her hands, one for each girl, "Why, yes... we have grommet boards!" She chortle laughs. She ushers the girls to the back of the store. There, she finds some foamies that would be considered short boards for adults; however, they'll easily serve as long boards for the girls. "What are your favorite colors?"

Yvette's truck pulls up and finds an open space in the parking lot outside. Yvette jumps out of the truck, goes into the back, and pulls a medium sized box out of the bed. She hauls it into the store, saying, "Sorry! Sorry I'm late. I was picking something up, and there were some issues I had to get ironed out first. She smiles at CJ and says, "Hey babe," as she quickly approaches the group. "Willow, Allison, Lily," she greets each of the girls as she passes them. She offers a nod to River, and says, "Hey there! Glad you could make it." And finally she ends up near Daize and set the box on the counter . "I got something for the store, but I wanted it to be a surprise for you. Open it when you're done with... oh, for the girls? You're all getting surfboards?"

Alison points to a bright green one. And signs 'I like that one'. Lily on the other hand is looking through for the most garish and hopefully rainbow colored one that she can find. "I like all the colors!" The girl says.

Willow looks to Yvette, "Hi Eevee. No. Just them. I don't want one. I want a new book. And momma says I get a comfy beach chair." She motions for the woman to come close, "I really wants a beanie bag chair." She whispers a little too loud.

CJ just smile over herself, "Hey honey. Was going over the finances and I think I'll be getting a more roomy bed..." River grins as she listens to the children. She then adds "Ill Have to bring my god daughter Rosa here when she is old enough to learn to surf." She turns and starts to look over the rocked clothing as she grabs a couple of permotinal t-shirts and such as she sak "You got swim wear here?"

Dom walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

Daize looks a little confused by the signing. However, she's not completely stupid. She can tell by the pointing or the gesturing with the neon green. She grins and easily pulls it from the rack so that Alison can then hold it. She then has to do some digging for Lily, though. She eventually finds one that would definitely be defined by its garish and bright colors. (OOC: http://media.surfshot.s3.amazonaws.com/media/1/3/1376393-large.jpg) The underside is full of color while the top end is white. "What about this one?"

Daize looks up from the girls and their searches when Yvette talks about some box or whatever. She simply nods her head, "Uh ok." She then looks over to River and smiles, "Yea, all the name brands provided beach wear. Check out Rip Curl and Roxy's brands."

Yvette looks glances at Alison and Lily as they look at possible boards, but her attention shifts to Willow. "Maybe there are beanie bag beach chairs," she suggests. "Not sure what that would be, really. Would a beanie bag beach chair be exactly the same a normal surf chair? Or maybe it has a parasol attached or something." Food for Willow's imagination. She steps over to CJ and offers a quick hug and a kiss. "That's awesome. I imagine some reorganizing of the room will be in order?" She slips an arm around CJ and points to Daize and then the box. "Open it up! And you'll have to plug it in to see what it does." There's a small gathering of people at the shop already, all talking and hanging out, though there are likely a few surfer dudes and dudettes scoping out the new surf shop, too.

Lily gasps, such a cute thing from her, then gets a massive smile, "Yes yes yes. So many colors and flowers and hearts! This is the best one ever!" Alison meanwhile is trying to lift hers, seeing how much it weighs and if she can move it around. Willow smiles to Yvette, "No. That's silly Eevee. It's a big beanie bag that you sit in. Momma says that kids had them when she was little."

CJ leans over to kiss Yvette, "Yeah. There will be a bit of shuffling going around, but I think we'll be able to fit it. You should come and see if there's a kind that you'd like." Though for both of them, almost and mattress would be better than what they currently use.

>>> Inside the box is a front door sign. It's made from an LED monitor, but designed to look like a neon sign with animation. On the back it has an on-off switch (but needs to be plugged in to work of course), and an open, closed and 'back soon' toggle switch. There is another nob that can be turned to set the 'back soon' timing, if needed. The front shows a curling wave with the words 'Open' in bright white letters offset against the blue water. Below the wave and 'open' sign, it reads, 'Drop in' When switched to closed, the waves is crashed out into white wash and the 'open' is replaced with 'Closed out' And the words 'Gone surfin' shows up below the white wash and words. If the 'Back soon' toggle is set, an additional phrase says, 'Will return at..." and shows the time set using the nob on the back. <<<

River finds a few t-shirts and a couple of bikinies as she smiles "These are soooo cute!" She grins impishly and then looks to the excitment of the little ones and smiles as she looks to CJ "So how old are your wee ones."

Foamies are indeed light, made mostly of styrofoam and whatever else manufacturers use to keep foamies light but sturdy. She smiles brightly at the girls reactions, but then she lets them go back to CJ while she has to deal with this new twist on things. A package for her? Daize opens it up and looks a little confused. She holds up the neon 'open/closed' sign and then realizes it's been modified for surfing. She lets out a chortle laugh, "Dude! This is awesome!" She decides to go ahead and put it in place at the front of the store.

Dom arrives. He's not dressed as he does for the beach, opting for pants instead of shorts, but all in all he is still dressed fairly casually. Eschewing the cooler he typically brings with himself to the beach, he instead has a wine bottle in his grip.

Yvette shrugs and smiles at Willow and says, "I like silly, so I think a parasol beanbag beach chair would be the bomb." She tucks in close with CJ and says, "Anything bigger than the couch would be awesome." Willow gets a smile as she picks out some beach clothes, and she's quite overwhelmed with the idea of the shop actually being open. Daize taking the surf themed open/closed sign to the front of the store gives has her flashing a brief smile. Then she remembers, "Oh, hey...! I went the food truck route, so if anyone is hungry, there's an assortment of food out on the street: a burger truck; Mexican; and some crazy cajun seafood truck. Food is on us, so eat well." And while that was a more expensive choice for food, the budget can handle it, and it allows both Daize and Yvette to be in the shop the whole time. Yvette gives CJ another kiss before slipping away from her towards the counter. "Bring those over here, River. I'll ring you up. Grand Opening discount and all." Yvette settles in behind the counter to do some cashier work.

"A little over four years." CJ replies to River as the two little girls haul their foamie boards back to their mother. Then Lily takes over, "Yep. Four." She holds up four finger. She then smiles. Willow sort of follows Yvette to the counter, "Well, you have to like silly. You like momma." Four year old giving CJ a bit of a burn there.

River grins as she lets the little ones go first to the counter and motions to Yvette to handle them first. She frins and says "Yea they are so much fun at that age. I remember when the twins where that age, er um my little sisters."

Daize has to fumble around, trying to get the 'Open/Close' sign to hang properly and then plugged in, and working. Yea, this is a little bit of a chore for her. Still, she manages to get it done with it flashing 'Open' and 'Drop In' (a surfer's reference to drop in on a wave). She then turns around to see where she can help next.

Dom heads over to the counter being manned by Yvette and holds up the bottle for her. "Thought I would bring you a housewarming gift," he says. The label on the bottle reads 'Longboard Vineyards - MV Brut - Methode Champenoise'. "Not the greatest in the world," he says with a smile, "but I thought it was appropriate." He pauses to look around the shop and says, "You guys certainly were able to get this together quickly. I hardly recognize the place."

Yvette gives Willow a serious nod and says, "She is very silly, your momma. And I do like her an awful lot." She gives River a nod, and will then wrangle the surfboards from CJ, if she hands them over. She finds the barcoded tags and scans them. "Let me get these ones. I have some leverage with the shop owner and can get a good employee discount." She'll set the surfboards in back, and put the sale on hold in case the girls want something else. She hang out behind the counter for now, watching Daize wrestle with the open/closed sign; watching other shoppers peruse the shop. She spots Dom as he comes up to the counter. "Hey, welcome! And thanks! Surf themed Champaign is awesome! Should we open it now and share? Also, there are food truck out front. Grab some grub if you're hungry. It's on us."

"Yeah. I like her too." Willow says, sticking near Yvette for now behind the counter. She watches what the woman does, how she scans things, but she's a little too short to see the POS system all that well.

Smoke walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

CJ looks to Yvette and shakes her head. "I'll cover it. Memeberships are up, and I'm not going to make you pay for one of your first sales." She states, then she points the girls towards Daize again, go see if she needs help with something. The two girls move over to Daize, and the one that speaks, Lily, does so, "Momma says that we can help!"

River smiles and sets her clothes she has picks to the side of the counter and smiles to yevette and moteions for her not to worry about it and she can get to it in a bit. She then walks over to CJ and ask "So how have you been? I never knew you had little ones." Smoke scurries in between the legs of an incomming customer and then over into the shadows of one of the surfboards. He moves to where he can peer out of the shadows and look around. He meows silently as he looks about curiously.

Daize is starts helping some of the NPC surfers that have come in. You can hear her being fully within her element as they discuss the needs of the surfers. But more importantly, one of the NPC shoppers looks towards the big screen TV, "Whoa, gnarly dude!" There's some hooting and hollering from what's being put on display. (OOC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQZJ0zbouIg) "Whoa, didn't you win the 4ocean competition with that bodacious 360?" Daize simply nods her head, "Got some serious air!"

"If you want," Dom replies to Yvette. He looks around the shop and says, "I don't think I brought enough for everyone here to have a glass for a toast but at least you and Daize can do so with a couple of people." He glances over to Willow and Lily and smiles as he adds, "Maybe not the children."

When the girls come over to offer help, Daize lowers herself down to the girls. Some of the surfer guys are really there to check out the blonde Betty, but still, they're cool around kids. Daize smiles to Lily and Alison, "Can you tell these guys, aloha?" She then holds up the shaka sign as if hoping that Alison will mimic the gesture as well since she doesn't speak.

Yvette pulls up a stool and has a seat behind the POS system. She lifts Willow up into her lap so she can see better, and then hands her the barcode scanner. She starts a new sale and will ring through River's purchase, letting Willow scan each item. "Just point, and then pull that trigger. Perfect!" She'll set River's stuff on hold, too, in case she has more to buy. She glances at CJ as Willow scans more items. "Fair enough," she concedes. "But I'll see if I can still swing you that employee discount." She offers a wink to CJ as Willow finishes up River's purchase. She motions to one of the store bags and asks, "Hey can you reach one of those? We'll get this stuff packed up in a bag for River." She turns her attention to Dom, and nods, a smile flashing on her face a moment. "We'll get the kids some sparkling apple cider. Not the hard kind." Daize and the group of surfer's she's with catches her attention. She glances back at the big screen TV, enjoying the sequence of big surf scenes for a moment, but it's not as entertaining as Daize having the girls say Aloha to the surfers. She finally looks back at CJ, and gives her a nod to come join her behind the counter. There's another stool she can pull up, if she wants to get off her feet.

"Of course, you could always make the girls work for them, they can sweep and clean up garbage from around the shop. I'll join you in a few." CJ says to Yvette, then turns her attention to River. "I'm not doing too bad. And if you didn't know, well, you probably haven't seen me in years."

The two girls that were following Daize do so quietly, waiting to be told how they can be helpful. Bot of them nod and look up to the guys, giving tiny shakas, and Lily says, "Loa guys!"

Willow Seems to like the scanning, and when she gets the scanning gun she'll ring through every tag that is put in front of her. And when asked to get the bag, she'll reach all the way over and grab one, holding it out for Yvette.

Molly walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

Smoke scampers from one shadow to the next, now hunting something and not paying attention to things that seem to walk on two legs, but things that hide in the dark of the shadow. A few steps, then he freezes, head turning ever slowly. Searching. Seeking. Nothing found, then a scamper to another shadow. As he is not trying to hide himself, his actions can be plainly seen.

River looks to Molly and waves as she recognizes her from passing and says "Heya." She then looks to CJ and smiles "Well you always seemd a little intimdating to me in the past for some reason."

Daize smiles with merriment at the girls do their thing. Of course, the surfer guys hovering around Daize are going to react. "Adorbs!" "Aloha, little grommet!" The guys give the girls due attention, though anything it would seem to look good in the eyes of the blonde surfer chick. Still, they were discussing boards and styles and such. Daize shows off some of the fishboards and short boards. "These high performance boards are wicked on the waves, man. Definitely go this route." She then looks to the quiet Alison, "You shoulda seen Paly Aly ripping up the waves." She then looks to Lily, "And L'il Liy was carving them up, too."

Dom goes ahead and leaves Yvette to take care of the register and instead moves to just sort of wander idly through the shop for a bit, checking out the various bits of gear and the vintage black and white photos posted around the store.

Molly strolls in, yapping on her phone. "I know, right? This chick has the face to sell things, I'm telling you. Okay, I'm there now. Laters." She clicks her phone off, then absently spins it once in her palm, like a gunslinger, before tucking it into the back pocket of her shorts. "Heya! I know you!" She grins and makes finger-guns at River as she passes, "Pew pew." Then on towards the middle of the shop, to get a better look at everything. "Holy shit, this is wicked cool."

WHen Daize goes to introduce the girls, Alison is still there, but Lily has taken off again, but that's like her. Where did she go? After the kitty she spotted. "Kitty! Come here Kitty! just wanna pet you..." She says trying to follow Smoke from shadow to shadow.

Alison stays around her surfing mentor and for the most part observes, like a strangely quiet little sister that just wants to learn about things. CJ just gives a shrug to River, "I can't help if I can get a little intimidating."

Smoke looks at the person hunting him. Instead of running away he just falls over right where he is to make Lily come to him. He flips his tail back and forth waiting on her to come and pet him.

Daize blinks when Lily is no longer there. She looks around for the girl and then finds her chasing the cat. She can't help but chortle laugh, "Snorkelcat!" She laughs merrily. She returns her attention to the guys, discussing the boards. She's not rude, though. She's going to make sure that Alison can see what she's saying and gesturing to various features on the board. Even if the girl doesn't understand fully, Daize keeps her involved. She then finally notes Dom, holding up a shaka gesture to him, "Aloha!" From there, she notices Molly. Again, another shaka and another greeting, "Aloha!"

Yvette is momentarily busy with another small group of NPC customers, ringing them out with the help of the little white-haired four year old girl, Willow. Yvette's player is still idlish cooking dinner... so pose around her. :)

River says, "Well I dont think it was as muich you as it was location and the others present at the time." She smiles Impishly to CJ and says "But you always seemed intresting to me." She offers the blonde a friendly smiles before she walks over to the counter and offers Yvette a credet card for her stuff. She then smiles as she looks to everyone preseny and says to Daize. "I think you shop is gona be a hit. Ill have to drag Dee and Dash over for some shoping later.""

Dom turns from his perusal of one of the photos as Daize calls out to him and smiles. He flashes a quick shaka back to her in return. "Howzit," he says. "Looks like the opening's a big success."

Molly tucks her thumbs into her pockets as she strolls around. The only people she recognizes are already involved in their own conversations, no need to be rude and butt in, though she does respond with an enthusiastic, "Yo! Aloha surfer babe!" to Daize, and returns the shaka gesture. Then she continues taking in the sights; the boards on the ceiling, the old photos, the surfer chicks and dudes loitering about. She notices Yvette at the cash register... that must be who Daize was talking about earlier.

The big screen continues to pump out highlights and video segments of various surfers and some spectacular tricks, as well play music that's upbeat. The latest video plays: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJa495FWf3s

Daize gestures the guys over to the counter where Yvette is so that they can get rung up. She then looks down to her side to see if Alison stays with her, which doesn't impede on the surfer chick's style at all. She walks over to Dom with a smile, "The place is pretty rockin', huh. Definitely stoked for how all this is going. Yvette has done like an awesome job in putting this all together." She chortle laughs at that, looking around, "I don't think I could have ever done this by myself."

Chase walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

The four year old Lily leans down to pet the cat a few times, then tries to pick it up in her little arms, "Willow! Dizzy has a pet kitty called Snorkelcat! It's a good kitty! Let me pet it." Even Alison looks over, because it's a kitty that her sister found, but she still shadows Daize, giving the shaka sign to anyone that Daize greets.

Willow continues to be Yvette's little helper, scanning what needs it and passing out bags. This work almost seems fun to her. But it might be because it's doing grown up things. CJ moves over to take the extra seat that Yvette set out for her, "Thanks. Always nice to be interesting."

Dom nods to Daize and smiles. "No, probably not," he says in agreement with her. "It takes a certain type of person to be able to dig in and make things like this happen. I've never been all that good at it myself, either. Just watching people like Yvette can get exhausting. I've got no idea how she manages it all."

Chase walks into the store and glances about, pursing his lips slightly. He smiles widely, hapy to see the store opening. He looks around to see who's here for the opening.

Molly has her phone out again, taking pictures, sending some texts, getting her social media on. After all, you're not really there if you didn't share it, right? She turns her attention from some of the old photos to glance at Dom as Daize comes over, then takes another look at him and then checks some stuff on her phone. Okay. Time to be rude and butt in. "Heyyyyy surfer babe!" Molly greets Daize as she slides on over, turning her gleaming smile to Dom. "And surfer dude. This place is so rad."

Smoke simply purrs.

Daize lowers herself down to Alison's eye level. She grins, gesturing to Lily, "Why don't you go play with Snorkelcat! He likes belly rubs." She chortle laughs again. She then straightens back up to greet Molly, "Aloha." She can't help but bob her head a little as the big screen has changed videos once more to another clip of women surfers. (OOC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GUtd7f1_Xo) She nods in agreement to Dom, "Well, she's super smart. That's how she manages it." She laughs as if this should have been obvious. She then looks to Molly, "Thanks, Senorita from the Beach!"

River grins as the kids find the cat and watches CJ and her kids. She then looks to Molly and smiles and ask "So hows it going?" She offers her hand and says "I dont think we ever got properly introduced. Im River."

Dom nods to Molly and smiles. "I don't really surf," he says, "A bit more of just a general beach bum. Daize would call me a hodad, but I couldn't miss the grand opening."

Molly grins at River. "Yeah! Well, it's been a while, I think. I'm Molly, I think we chatted at Roasters a while back?" She smiles and shrugs a little, then looks back to Dom. "I've never surfed," she tells him. Then she grins and leans in a bit, giving him a knowing look. "Aren't you Dominic Noble? Like, the pharma Dominic Noble?"

Yvette conspires with Willow (and possibly CJ) when there is a lul in customers. Willow gathers up some plastic cups, and Yvette pours out small amounts of the champaign that Dom brough into several cups - perfect for a toast. She fills several other cups with non-alcoholic sparking cider. She then finds a small bell under the counter - the kind to ring when there's no cashier present. She taps the top several times to get everyone's attention.

Smoke rolls over to have his belly scritched. He reaches his right paw far above his head, claws almost invisible extending and retracting as he is scratched. He meows silently but that mixed with a rumblepurr that is quite loud.

Dom grimaces just the tiniest bit as Molly recognizes him. It is quickly replaced with a smile, though, and he gives a small nod of his head. "Yes, I am, though I wouldn't quite put it that way," he says. He extends a hand and it must just be a reflex because although she already mentioned his name he repeats it and says, "Dominic Noble. Pleased to meet you."

Molly glances over as she hears Yvette ringing the customer service bell, then looks back to Dom. She keeps it fairly cool but there's definitely a hint of fangirl just under the surface. She grabs his hand and pumps it once. "Molly Welkin, it's amazing to meet you." The words start to run together, she's in such a hurry to get them out. "I'm working on my PHD in economics, I'd -love- to interview you sometime." And then, having gotten that out, she forces herself to turn her attention to Yvette. With just one last glance at Dom.

River looks to Yevette and smiles as she takes her own cup and smiles. She seems in a chill out and hang sort of mood.

Daize wasn't quite expecting a bell, so like she's confused when she hears it ringing. Then again, a confused look might be standard issue for Daize.

"Hi," Yvette says, standing up behind the counter as people settle down. She realizes that some in the back might not be able to see or hear her very well, so she actually stands on the stool, gaining several feet of altitude in the process. "I want to thank everyone for showing up tonight. Daize and I - and many others - have put in a lot of work here, and we're really excited to see you all; and even more excited to have these door open for business. If you don't have a beer or a drink already, come up and grab some Champaign - provided by our friend Dom. Thank you Dom. Or a some sparkling apple cider, if you prefer. I'd like to make a little toast." She clear her throat, looking nervous talking in front of a crowd. She waits until everyone has something with which to toast. "So, ummm, yeah, first... to everyone who showed up and helped us get this place put together. You know who you are; and we know who you are. Thanks for the help. We couldn't have done it without you. Second, I'd personally like to thank CJ - she did a lot of the heavy lifting early on, and we couldn't have opened up as soon as we did without her. But more importantly, I learned a lot from watching her run her own business. You gave me the courage to see this through with Daize. I don't think we'd be doing this without that kind of support. Thanks, hun! You rock. And last, of course, to Daize. She is the inspiration behind all this; she knows the product, she knows the customers; and she is a brilliant visionary. Daize - you are my first friend in this town, and since working with you, I'm starting to feel like this place is home. Thanks for trusting me with so much, and thanks for teaching me about the beauty of the ocean. So, in short, to friends, to the sea, and to Zimzala! Cheers!" She flashes a brief smile and lifts her glass.

Alexander walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

Antonio walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

Smoke hops up from being petted and sprints across the floor. He slids and crashes into one of the boards, fortunally not heavy enough to move the board or cause it to crash. He blinks and licks his right paw.

Chase smiles and claps lightly, having snuck in without anyone noticing. He beams and looks proudly at Yvette and Daize as well. He stays near the wall near the entrance, out of the way.

Dom laughs a little at Molly's enthusiasm. Before he can speak though Yvette begins her speech. He gets a glass of the champagne and raises it in toast. "Cheers!" he calls out loudly in response before taking a sip and then turning his attention back to Molly.

"Well, I'd be happy to help you out," he says, "though I'm a little worried that I may fall short of your expectations, especially if you're working on your Ph.D. in economics. I've only got an MBA myself and in all fairness I think the smartest two moves I've made thus far in my career were being born the son of Eric Noble so that I inherited my father's shares in the company and appointing Johnathon Quintus as CEO after my father's death."

River smiles and says "Chers, you guys did a wonderful job of getting the place done. I cant imagine how you did it in such a short time. Im impressed seriously." She then sips her drink and grins as she looks around injoying the good vibes.

Molly raises her glass along with everyone else, then takes a sip. "Cheers!" She grins at Daize. "Good job, she seems like a smart cookie." She turns her grin back to Dom then. "Good choice on the champagne." She nods as he explains about his father and so on, then replies, "True! I've read about you. But you can't deny that those decisions turned out to be the -right- decisions, yeah?" Her blue eyes twinkle a little behind her glasses as she gently taps her glass against his. "You're doing quite well for yourself, from everything I've read." She takes another sip.

Alexander shoulders his way past through the crowd to get a better view of the hostess and also to get some Champaign. "Bravo." and glances at Tony, who he's pulling behind in his wake. "Quite a nice shop you have..."

River sees Anthony and Alex arrive and grins as she slides through the crowd squirming past patrons to give them both a big neck hug together at the same time as she says warmly "Hey you guys! How you both been?"

Yvette climbs down from the stool, and then calls out over the noise as people start socializing again, "Oh, and remember - free food from the food trucks out front (OOC: you'll have to make believe the food trucks are out there, but I trust this is a good crowd for that sort of thing). Beer and wine are covered, too, with ID - and some of the trucks may also sell cocktails, but that is extra. And that might be a lie - I'm not sure if that is actually legal or not. But regardless get your food and drink on!"

Daize, having taken the cider option rather than the champagne. She is still caught off guard by it all. She holds up her glass, and calls out, "Righteous!" She then mutters to Dom and Molly, "I hope I don't have to give one of those. I so suck at speeches." She grins as Molly and Dom seem to be hitting things off.

Tony is following Alex but lagging behind a bit as he has to stop and look at various things along the way. He grins at Yvette as he hears her talking and gives a thumbs-up before River is there greeting them. "Hey River, good seein' you! We okay, how you doin'? Wow, ain't never seen no place like this before."

"I've been doing well enough," Dom says to Molly with a smile. "I just really needed a change of scenery so I came out here about a month and a half ago. I'm still just getting settled in, really, trying to find a house and figure out what to do with myself. In all fairness the good fortunes for the company are largely because of my father and Jonathon's decisions to limit their interactions with doctors. It meant a lower bottom line originally but in the current climate it has really protected us from all the negative publicity and legal issues that the larger companies like Pfizer are dealing with right now.""

He then smiles to Daize and shakes his head. "I don't think so," he says, "Just tell everyone how happy you are that they're here and thanks for coming. That's what I do when I'm in a situation like this."

The big screen TV continues playing videos and clips of surfing highlights. (OOC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_0tgAVjQPw)

As Yvette moves off the stool and people start to mill about again, CJ comes over to give her a big hug and a kiss. "Didn't think that I drove you to do this...Now let me gather up the girls and see if one of those food trucks might have some Ice cream or mini donuts for them."

Alexander scoops up River for a 'pull off her feet' hug when she clamps on to them. "Fancy seeing you here. Enjoying yourself?"

Molly grins at Daize as Dom offers his advice. "Totally," she agrees. "Daize, you're totally righteous and everybody's bud. Do what Dom said and you'll have no problems." Then, back to Dom: "See? Yes, that. The right choices for the right situations. I'd -love- to buy you a coffee or a beer or something and hear all about it." She blinks. "For my research." She clears her throat, takes another sip.

Daize takes note of new arrivals, moving from Dom and Molly so that she can attend to them. She offers up a shaka gesture to Alexander and Tony, "Aloha." However, she gives in to peer pressure and goes to over where Yvette was standing, "Um... well, I guess I'm supposed to do one of these things, too." She chortle laughs that stoner laughs of hers, "Well, obviously, everyone that she thanked in helping get this ready... um..." She laughs again, "... uh ditto." She then furrows her brow, "And like, I totally gotta thank the shaggy dude who left behind his surfboard! Toes to the Nose, bro!" She smiles, "And like, all of this is possible because like Yvette is super smart and knows how to do all that complicated stuff." She can't help but continue that laugh of hers, "And I get paid to surf. Totally righteous!"

Smoke stands, streaches, and ohsocasually swaggers out the door.

Dom smiles a bit wryly to Molly and points out, "But those were the decisions made by my father, not me. I'm just fortunate enough to benefit from them." He takes a sip of his own drink and then says, "Not that I'm refusing to talk with you or anything. I just don't want you going in with the wrong impression or anything." He flashes a quick smile and says, "I know that the standard line is suppose to be how hard I work and how anyone could be where I'm at if they just applied themselves diligently, but let's be fair. I got really lucky. I won't say that people can't get ahead by working hard, I mean just look around us. Yvette and Daize have done a great job here. I just think it would be dishonest for me to try and attribute my great success to any form of proportionately great skill or talent."

After hugging River Tony's eyes go to the drinks and he heads over there to grab a couple of beers. If there is anything sweet, especially chocolate, he'll grab that too. When he steps back over to Alex and River he asks the big blonde, "Kin I get a board? I'd like to learn how to surf."

Molly calls out to Daize, "Righteous! Woo!", then raises her glass to her, then takes another sip as she looks back to Dom. "Oh, trust me, I get it," she says in a lower voice, because it can be kind of a touchy subject for some. "It's supposed to be a meritocracy, but we know that's bullshit. It's just as much when and where you were born, who you knew." She arches a knowing eyebrow as she takes another sip. "But still, I'd love to hear your side of all that, because everybody's story is a little different."

River smiles to Tony and says "If you want to learn to Surf Daize is your girl. She waves to Daize and says "Daize this is Tony and he wants to learn to surf!." She grins and rest a hand on his forearm and says "She really is very good and a sweet person." She then looks to Alex and smiles and says "So you guys out breaking hearts again?"

Daize looks at Tony, assuming that she's the 'big blonde'? All five foot five inch of her. "Dude, certainly. We can get you hooked up." She laughs merrily, "I'm guessing that you're a Barney, so like we'd probably have to get you a little bit of a bigger board. Don't want to go too short as the board would probably shoot out from underneath ya." She tilts her head, "And uh, yea... like River said, I offer surfing lessons."

Alexander returns Daize's salute, and a fist oump at the speach before he glances around the boards, giving Tony a swat on the butt. "You know I can't deny you for long anyway..." and leaning just a little closer to River to comment.. "Hearts take time, our beautiful bods target something a little lower at a glance..."

Chase walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

Dom nods and sets down his drink for a moment. He fishes a small case from the breast pocket of his shirt and retrieves a business card which he passes over to Molly. "Well, give me a call," he says, "and I'll be happy to talk about it."

The card is a linen card with raised ink and is rather minimalist in design. It has no logo or address, just two lines with the first giving his name and the second giving a phone number. It is slightly anachronistic in these modern times with cell phones but something still done by certain people out on the East coast.

Smoke walks through the front door, causing wind chimes to jingle.

River laughs as she says to Alex "Your so bad." She grins and hugs him as she smiles. She then looks to Tony and says "If you need it hun I got a short leash at my place you can have for him." She grins with a playful twinkle in her eyes.

Yvette stays behind the counter, helping customers make their purchases. Other than the toast, she seems to want to stay out of the limelight. Also, her player is still very idle, so will lurk and keep reading up from time to time.

Molly pulls her phone out of her back pocket, flicks it to life with a swipe of her thumb, takes a quick pic of Dom's business card, all in the space of a few seconds. "Righteous," she replies, giving him a grin and a wink as she tucks her phone away again, the card into a different pocket. Then she asks, "So how'd you get wrapped up in all of this?" She gestures to the shop in general. "Investing, or just caught in Daize's wake like I was?"

Tony giggles but bobs his head at Daize, "I ain't got the faintest what a Barney is but if you say so. I'm a pretty good swimmer but ain't never tried to surf before. River says you're the one to go to though, 'n I trust her." He hands one of the beers to Alex at the swat, and grins at River. "You gotta watch Alex, he likes to flirt a lot."

Daize nods her head, "Well, get with the front counter to schedule up a lesson." However, she lets the conversation between Tony and Alexander happen as she disengages from that. She then goes around to see who else may need assistance such as the NPC shoppers and such.

Alexander throws an arm over Tony's shoulder. "He's a quick study when he puts his mind to something, and with ense of balance that would make a cat jealous. Thouh ahh.. " with a glance and a wink to River.. "she got the leash wearing part backwards."

CJ's girls all come back in, each carrying a small bag of mini-donuts and snacking on them quietly. Being as they are four years old, they're also getting a little tired. When CJ gets a chance she pulls Yvette aside to ask a quiet question. Looking to the girls afterwards. She sort of keeps her distance from a lot of the customers, as she seems to make them slightly nervous.

Dom smiles to Molly. "Just friends with Daize," he says. "With the heat of the past month I was spending a lot of time down by the beach trying to stay cool, so it's not that surprising that I ran into her. Yvette hasn't really asked for any investing. I think she wants to do this as much on her own as possible, so for right now I'm just a bystander watching their success. I'd be happy to backstop them if it ever became necessary, but given how rapidly Daize's availability has been filling up since she won the surf contest I really doubt that will be necessary."

River laughs at Alex and grins and says "Your both bad!" She then smiles and says "If you will let me Id like to buy you both a board. A gift for friends and to help support the shop?"

Molly grins a little and glances at Daize as she does her thing. "Yeah, I don't know Yvette, but if Daize is going to be the face of this place, they're going to be making bank."
