Welcome to Aether and Erebus.

This large, windowless warehouse has been repurposed into a cyber café and collaborative workspace. The walls are painted a tasteful taupe.
The hackerspace features furniture in shades of black and red; casual sofas, chairs and low tables arranged to stimulate the meeting of minds in lounge-like setting. There are workstations standing by for casual use, and several whiteboards on wheels spread about, some with doodles and scribbles of work and jokes --- grab one; if it's not in use it is fair game. Or just sit and relax with your laptop or a friend. The wifi is free --- password: hacktheplanet.
The back right side of the common area is lined with arcade gaming consoles and pinball machines, and has a large cabinet stocked with numerous popular board games. A counter in the back left side of the room is manned at all times by an employee, serving café fare and other treats (+view menu). A single door is behind the counter.
A hallway extends past the gaming space, in which there are five doors comprising the specialized labs and gathering spaces available to registered members of the hackerspace. Two unisex bathrooms, both accessible, are available to all visitors.
Overlooking the common room is a large loft office labelled 'Admin' with mirrored glass, accessible via a narrow metal staircase.

Madeline arrives, texting as she does so then looks up with a smile

As people arrive, the door is opened for them by a large blond man --- Colombe's muscular retainer Emile. The space is decorated festively, with ambient lighting, brightly-coloured balloons, and there is quietly energetic music playing.

Ed arrives with a laptop bag slung over one shoulder and a wide grin on her features. The cat who caught the canary, or the Nossie that caught the rat, maybe?

Ramona enters in her usual Wednesday casual hoodie and jeans. The hoodie, though, is black and advertises for a movie called Lady Darkclaw. Lucky is with her, of course, perched on her shoulder, still wearing her Lady Darkclaw hat. Yeah, YOU get it off her. Go ahead. Ramona seems a little distracted tonight, but do you really want a Malkavian to be well put together ALL the time? That's when shit gets dangerous

Mikael comes in with Gregory, seeming excited as he looks around the room, "This is incredible, is it not?"

Gregory nods to Emile as he steps inside, eyes growig like a kid in a candy store. "Oh, this is quite nice. I think when it opens to the public, I'm going to enjoy tinkering in here...."

Stanley The Bald shows up, Laptop case on his shoulder, looking around interestedly, seeing the place secured, he nods, letting the lie fall away, hunched, red fur, long witch fingers and oversized hands as he looks around, "Okay interesting."

Torgue's arrival is with a messenger bag at her side and her pipe being placed away in her hiding spot while taking an exhale of incense. Almost immediately when she looks at the room she's taken aback to flashbacks of Zero Cool and squints with mild suspicion. Should she have packed the coloured books?

Colombe greets Madeline and Ed with a slight, half smile. "Evening Emeritus, Sheriff." Ed's expression catches her interest, and her half smile widens, slightly. "Did you bring something to show?" She offers Ramona a warm glance and a slight nod, also greeting Mikael, Gregory, and Stanley. "Welcome everyone! Please take a look around. Try a kit, if you are so inclined. I will give a guided tour shortly."

Ed holds up the laptop bag in one hand, while giving it a little wiggle. "Off the shelf laptop. No mods, just the security software I developed. Figured that people might wanna take a crack at it."

A spindly figure in a giant hoodie arrives quietly. Her silent footfalls don't even "clack" as she makes her way into the new Hackerspace. Safe here, she removes the hood from her head and face, revealing what can only be described as an anorexic goblinoid face. Pointed ears, sharp cheekbones, pale gray skin, yellow eyes. Thin, patchy strands of white hair fall around her shoulders.

Amelie arrives tonight with a simple outfit of black. Highlighted with a gold necklace and spike heels, she looks casual and business. "Bon Soir!" She offers to those gathered here.

Gregory checks out the various electronic kits, taking put his tablet and scribbling a couple of notes on it. "I take it that fire suppression devices are all in order. Not that I don'take the utmost care with arcing electricity. But I assume some here are students..."

Colombe is still by the door, greeting people, so when Netta walks in, the Nos gets an immediate quiet look. When Netta reveals herself, Colombe doesn't hesitate --- she offers a warm smile and greeting. "Good evening. You must be Annetta. I am Colombe de Berenger, of Clan Ventrue. Welcome."

Madeline inclines her head with a smile "bon Soir Lady keeper" she offers to Colombe and then smiles for Amelie "My dear Herald always so good to see you "

Colombe also replies to Gregory, "Perhaps Primogen Aswillas can verify my system --- he is something of an expert on the subject, I believe." She grins to Stanley, before looking back to Netta.

Mikael gives Colombe a little bow at her greeting and then moves out of the way as more people enter. He steps over to where the kits are and starts looking through them, "So many to choice from. It is like Christmas morn, non?"

Jania is here out of genuine curiosity, with her own laptop carried in a backpack over her shoulder. A genuine smile given to thos who may look her way. She merely leaves the door prizes and kits to the others but seems to appreciate the offerings as she looks over each one. The young lady choosing to remain somewhat of a mystery this evening in her own talents.

Ed turns as Colombe greets the new arrival and she grins widely, distorted mouth stretching from ear to ear. Striding forward, she extends a ling-fingered hand towards Netta. "Always good to see another Nosferatu."

Stanley is wearing his classic tonight, custom made shoes, custom pants with digigrade legs, vest festooned with pockets, with the addition of the laptop bag, he moves towards the kits, looking over to his name and then up, and around, "Ah yeah, good." He nods, "Wired up to handle any flame outbreak, more worried at what else would break out at the sight of fire." He chuckles.

Torgue is gonna, immediately, be drawn to those tesla kits after getting a good visual of the room. A little crack at it won't hurt! It's time to pull her tablet free from her bag and get on with those online instructions.

Netta offers a grin, rotted teeth, half broken incisors, it's not pretty. She has a slight lisp, raspy voice, "It's a pleasure. I am new to the Praxis. I look forward to meeting the Imperator."

Turning to Ed she offers the same gesture, and accepts the handshake with her own wiry hand, "You can call me Netta."

Amelie greets Madeline, "Emeritus, always a pleasure mon ami." She is taking in the room, and notices Ed meeting Netta, someone she has not met. "It looks like you have brought out even new friends, Keeper."

"A pleasure to meet you, Netta. You can just call me Ed," Ed says, handshake firm and confident. "Sheriff, so I got a heads up that you were coming."

Bassy tones underlie the remixes of classical music masterpieces playing quietly in the background, lending an energy to the space that is palpable. The space itself seems designed for creativity and collaboration.
Colombe smiles as Ed joins them. "Will you be joining us at court this Friday?" She grins to Amelie. "It seems the Imperator is perhaps the greater draw, Herald Renoir." To the room at large, she offers, "Don't forget to enter your name for a chance to win a door prize... with a crowd this size, your chances of winning are very good."

Ramona has her backpack too, which probably has a laptop in it. Still slightly distracted, she moves in Stanley's general direction to lurk.

Madeline smiles warmly at Amelie and steps over to greet Jania and Mikael glancing at the kits "so.. what are these?" she asks curiously

Stanley waves to Ramona and as she approaches, he points, moving with her to the door prizes. "Here, try for the Drone, Lucky needs a mount." He says, registering himself.

<---======##====================[ Dice Roll ]=====================##======---> Torgue rolls Intelligence + Technology vs 8 for 1 successes. 1 2 4 5 6 +10 10 <-------------=============++++++++++++++++++++++++=============-------------> Sent to: Torgue and Colombe

Colombe inclines her head warmly to Netta. "I hope you are interested in tech or crafting, otherwise it may be a rather dull introduction to the Praxis."

Mikael nods at Colombe and steps over to register. Seeing Ramona and Stanley with Lucky he gives them a bright smile, "Ah, the stars of Lady Dark Claw, I hope the eve finds you well?"

Netta nods at Ed, "Ed it is then, Sheriff. I made sure that I wasn't followed here. Precautions are needed when you're new in town. I don't know the flow of the streets here yet." She glances at the "party favors", "Next best thing to candy." She eyes the computer parts, "I won't pass those up."

Ramona is amused by this and she grins at Stanley. "God, don't teach her to fly, Stanley. She already regularly tries to jump between the spinning blades of the ceiling fan."

Torgue sets her tablet down and squints at those online in structions, then gets to work with unboxing, setting up the workspace, and getting tinkering tools to get this all done. With some patience and attention back and forth, Torg manages to rather quickly assemble and have a working... phallic music speaker. She has it start playing something everyone should be familiar with. If not, the lyrics will tell anyone else at the kits soon enough...

Stanley nods to Ramona, "And I bet she makes it half the time." He chuckles, looking to Mikael, "Oh hi there, Mikael, thank you, glad you enjoyed the movie. Things are well, this looks interesting." He looks around, large head tilting a little at Netta, new face.

Ed's head bobs towards Netta. "You'll learn the lay of the land soon enough," she assure the other Nossie. "Excuse me," she says, then turns and makes her way over to Torgue. Lightly tapping the woman on the shoulder and murmuring to her.

Jania offers a smile to Madeline at the greeting, "Good Evening Emeritus, it is good to see you this evening. They are kits for creating different things, like Tesla's coil, a replica of the Eiffel tower, feats of technological wonder and engineering marvels." She offers a smile towards Stanley and Ed as well as Torgue too, but with more amusement shakes her head at Torgue.

Madeline looks over the kits and then turns and kisses Jania upon each cheek "Bon soir, ma cheri. La tour d’Eiffel?" she looks back with renewed curiosity before smiling and inclining her head to Netta "Bon soir mademoiselle"

"Excellent." Netta's interest in the computer parts causes Colombe to smile quietly. As Ed moves off, she inclines her head in parting to Amelie and the Nosferatu, even as she turns to walk toward the centre of the room, preparing to speak.

Gregory looks toward 'Stanley the Bald'... and elects to not comment further. Instead he starts to more closely examine the tesla coils, but leaves room for Torgue to work on it. "You know, a few adjustments to the battery housing and I could ramp up the emitter, maybe a small control mechanism to make a more intricate holographic design..."and then smiles to give space and move back to their host (once the Kindred have finished their greeting.) "Quite a collection Keeper. Lady Cunningham appologizes for not being in attendance in person. But I am glad to both her and your graciousness in allowing my attendance."

Netta gives a nod to Ed as she tapers away and then offers Stanley another nod. When Madeline greets her, she graciously inclines her own head, "Such a lovely language, French, I know other languages, but they're all in code." She grins.

Mikael chuckles and nods his head, his attention shifting to Torgue as well then.

Stanley looks to Torgue and her project, "You made a Dick Speaker. Is it a Bluetooth?" He asks.

Zago and Silvana walk into the Hackerspace together. The extremely pale man looks to be dressed straight out of the 90s, goth as the night is long. "You ready to hack the planet?" he asks Silvana with a grin.

Silvana laughs softly as she lets her gaze look over the room and waggles her brows "You know it" she winks.

Torgue murmurs something back to Ed, and with the comment of an increased emitter, she peeks to Gregory. "You're gonna need bigger heat sinks if you do anything fancy with this, they're already not good enough to let you run it all night." then they all hear it... 'We're no strangers to love~' from the little tesla speaker, as the stick on the top sparkles and alternates between wagging and circles. Then a nod is given to Ed finally as she changes the tune on the speaker via her tablet to something else. And quieter.

"Welcome Kindred, to Aether and Erebus." Colombe pauses, then continues to speak confidently --- oratory clearly one of her specialties. "When I first conceived of this space, I was struck with insight --- I wondered, how can we make it easier to develop connections, organically, with those not of the blood?”
“Mortals sparking with creative fervour. Mortals with an inherent desire to learn and be better." She pauses, her eyes going warmly to Zago, as she continues. "Mortals willing to hack the planet. Mortals with promise, and utility. Thus, we have Aether, the air or element through which the brilliant light of these morals will shine." She grins to Torgue, an eyebrow slightly raised at the phallic creation before her, but her amusement is curbed as she looks to the room at large.
"I do hope that you will enjoy the sample kits laid out --- I see that some of you have already dipped into the creative process. Please, take a leap, maybe try something new! Or simply enjoy the evening, among friends." In closing, she smiles, quietly. "If anyone is interested, I will be starting a short tour now."

Amelie looks over the available kits, and notes what is there. "I'll pick one of these up later. I would love to join you for the tour first." She smiles to Netta, and bows her head to the woman.

Stanley watches Colombe, smiling faintly, listening and nods, looking interested in the tour. He glances to Ramona and back, politely.

Madeline turns to regard Colombe as she speaks, nodding and folding her lovely hands before her. Smiling she steps forward to join the tour also

Silvana looks over to Colombe and smiles then nudges Zago "We should go take the tour"

Netta grins at Columbe's speech, "Sound strategy. I applaud! The indirect approach is the best approach. Mortals are not just good for their blood after all." She hears ick Astley playing and raises a brow, "We've been Rick Roll'd..." A raspy laugh escapes her, true amusement, "Ahhh.. I love this city already.."

Zago gets back from the door prize table, and when nudged, nods companionably. "Sure, let's do it." He'll go with her to join the tour group.

Ramona looks at Stanley. Her brow arches. She looks down at the kits, then Stanley, then reaches for one of the starter kits to start with. It seems appropriate anyway!

Gregory joins the group preparing for the tour

<Phone> (Colombe - Text to Paige) Hey, you should come see the new space. <Phone> (Colombe - Text from Paige) Why?

Mikael listens to Colombe and gives her a bright smile, applauding softly, "A tour would be wonderful, Mademoiselle Keeper."

Colombe waits for a group to assemble, sending a quick text, before she moves down the centre of the space, sweeping an arm quietly toward the lounge space and the cafe. "A gathering space for networking --- or lounging, playing games, etc." She grins, looking to Zago. "There are workstations for those without access to a PC, as well." She indicates the kits on the worktable, as she passes. "The kits, of course. There is also a catalogue of available kits, available on hand, as well as spare parts, and design software and materials."

<Phone> (Colombe - Text to Paige) Might be a good way to meet people.

Zago smiles back at Colombe when she sends a glance his way. He then looks over at the San Francisco dollhouse kit with some interest. "I could probably do that," he murmurs to Silvana. "Want me to build you one?"

Stanley nods, listening to Colombe, looking to the kits, considering and nodding slowly. Ed has partially disconnected.

Silvana looks towards Zago and gives a little blush "Sure, is there something you want me to make you?" she asks curiously as they follow along listening to the tour.

<Phone> (Colombe - Text from Paige) So I may be some sort of cautionary tale to them as well? See what happens when a Caitiff saves the Imperium? They just get backstabbed. I suppose I can make a showing, but I really have no time for Torvik or the irrelevancy of his Imperium. <Phone> (Colombe - Text to Paige) Maybe keep the insurrection to a peep, we have a new arrival. <Phone> (Colombe - Text from Paige) Then they of all should be warned to move on.

Ed tails along after Colombe, listening attentively as he gives her tour. She says something quietly to the Keeper, a bit of a smirk on her distorted features as she does so.

Torgue straightens up and moves over for the tour gathering, after giving a nod and going to move after them while picking up her tablet. Netta gets a mischeivous grin and the sheriff gets a thumb up. "Totally agree." on whatever was murmured. Catching up to keep in a loose formation with everyone else taking the tour- even if it is passing the kits area.

Madeline follows along, observing everything quietly as Colombe speaks

<Phone> (Colombe - Text from Paige) I suppose I have some time to spare for the Sheriff, I will be along shortly.

Netta considers for a moment and asks Colombe, "Will this facility sell certain.. equipment that might be of use for an internet denizen?" Her grin suggests that she is asking if the place will sell her hacking equipment. "I like to purchase locally." As in Camarilla.

Gregory looks over the various items available, checking out the catalogue

"What about a Geiger counter?" Zago asks Silvana. "I kinda want to see what you do with it."

"I'm actually working on developing some Hacking Software," Ed says, as she glances over her shoulder at Netta. "Kiddie code. Password crackers, that sort of thing."

Colombe smiles at Ed's whispered remark, her eyes sparking gently with amusement, as she replies quietly and continues moving toward the door marked DeLorean Machine Shop. Netta's question gets a quick grin, and she regards the Nos with interest. "Definitely. We have a few suppliers that I have cultivated connections with --- all perfectly legal, of course. But, if all works out, perhaps you will be developing your own tools, in no time." To the group, she offers, "Please, join me in the machine shop --- mind, it hasn't been much used, so dust is currently at the lowest level it will ever be."
You move to Aether and Erebus - DeLorean Machine Shop
Aether and Erebus - DeLorean Machine Shop(#18417RM)
This is a machine room --- tools galore, meticulously organized and there to be used. The decor in here features mad scientists from popular culture and their creations. Machine shop users are reminded, prior to being granted access to the room, that they must take safety training and sign a waiver before using the equipment here. Also that a catalogue of interesting designs (woodworking, plastics, etc), kits, and components are available for purchase at the café!
This large room is lined with counters, each mounted over a bank of well-oiled metal tool drawers of varying depth and size. Power tools are mounted on the counters --- drill-presses, miter saws, lathes, planers, etc. Smaller, hand-held tools are mounted on the walls, including drills, impact drivers, heat guns, hammers, saws, rotary tools, etc.
Two 3D printers are available for use with a sign that reads, 'Check in at the café for the 3D model catalogue or to load your own custom design. Note: You must pay the estimated filament charge prior to printing, and any difference will be re-imbursed. Note that these machines are calibrated daily but perfection is not guaranteed or possible, so there are no refunds for used filament.
The drawers are labelled to make it easy to find spare hand tools and smaller parts, such as drill bits, rotary tool attachments, spare blades, nails, screws, washers, nuts, etc.
There are multiple work tables in the centre of the room, with thick wooden surfaces, surrounded by stools, to provide working space. A wheel-chair accessible table is also provided, on the right side of the room.
There is a locked door on the left hand side of the room, labelled, 'Supplies'.
Colombe walks into the bright, airy space --- and as others walk in, their senses are filled with the scents of wood and plastic, paint and other delightful smells of industry. She proceeds to walk up the left side of the room, indicating the space with another sweeping arm movement. "I hope to see a lot of activity in here. And, hopefully, few incidents requiring first aid."

Stanley follows in, looking around and nodding, "That's pretty cool." He reads the signs and nods, chuckling, "Gotta think of something worthwhile."

Netta walks with the rest of the group, grinning at both Colombe, and Ed, "No shortage of resources then. Either way this place looks solid. I'm impressed!" She really is!

The click of heels announces Paige as always, otherwise silent. Her eyes ahead, face set in an expressionless visage. One hand upwards to adjust her uniform like coat so it is sitting fully properly, the other dangling a cello case from her fingertips.

Silvana slowly looks around the room and gives a little nod of approval.

Gregory checks out the layout, and the notes concerning the 3d printer

Zago looks around him, looking closely at all the tools. "This is pretty high-end. Someone could do something dramatic with these. I could do some millwork out here."

Madeline turns to look all about the space with a smile "It’s wonderful Colombe."

Mikael smiles brightly, "Very nicely set up, Mademoiselle. I am certain its use shall bring many hours of pleasure and fun while honing skill."

Amelie is not sure really what to expect in here, but she is impressed with all the tools available. "I have little idea how most of this works, but it looks impressive."

Colombe glances warmly to Stanley, and offers Madeline a smile. "Thank-you, Emeritus." She pats one of the circular saws. "Can we anticipate seeing you in here? I mean, the leap from cloth to wood --- not super far, I think." A quick grin goes to the Rose, and Mikael. "You too, Mr. Rousseau. And Herald Renoir." She winks, then looks to the Laughlin contingent, offering a tempered reply to Zago, "Are you a hobbyist, Mr. Giovanni?" Paige gets a quiet, but warm glance, and nod of greeting.
Angelica hustles in and looks about, trying to spot..oh there she is. Angie moves swiftly to where Madeline is but she doesn't crowd. She stands off to the side, looking at the new place

Madeline laughs with a smile and nods "I could certainly be persuaded to explore the posibilities" she says to Colombe and then turns to kiss Angelica's cheek "what do you think cheri?"

Netta turns to Ed again, "This is.. really a lot more than I imagined. I'm a huge nerd, I know, but damn.. seriously.. just damn. You think our clan can make use of a 3D printer?" She grins before pausing to listen to Columbe again..

Once she finishes, Netta glances at the equipment again, "I like to be prepared anyway Sheriff. Stockpiling for a rainy day and all that. I can foot the bill where need be.."

Stanley walks around, looking at the machine parts and nods, looking at the offered work areas. "Impressive, Not sure what I'd make, but this is the kind of place you can make whatever is required, that's great."

Angelica smiles warmly at the greeting. "Hmmm I think we could craft some interesting things here. I need a coffee bar, so some wood working would be nice. "

Paige gives an almost imperceptible nod noticable mainly by the otherwise lack of movement. Standing quietly off to the side and watching.

"I learned how to mill wood bracketing for my former home, a Queen Anne mansion outside of New Orleans," Zago explains. "As it's an all-wood facade, it requires frequent renovation, up to outright replacement of dry-rotted brackets and columns in the galleries. So, I know how to build Victorian homes. In large part, yes."

Gregory looks the 3d printer over one more time. "With the initiative to create movies and the the like, the printer could be used for effect models, assuming a skilled painter is on hand to detail."

Madeline nods to Angelica "I think that would be a very good thing ma cheri." and follows Gregory's gaze to the 3d printer "Qu'est-ce que c'est?"

Silvana smiles at Zago as she continues to let her gaze look over the room with some curiosity.

Colombe's eyes warm, as people move about, and inspect things. "Thoughts are sparking already, how wonderful." Her glance moves quietly to Zago, considering the Necromancer while he speaks, her expression remaining pleasant. "I see now why the dollhouse appealed to you." She smiles slightly, then looks back to the room, gaze settling quietly on the Caitiff with the cello case. "Paige. I never asked. I don't suppose your artistic talents veer into the realm of wood and plastic?"

Mikael walks around the room and then blinks as he hears Zago, "You are from New Orleans, Monsieur?"

Torgue follows along with the tour quietly. There's something in particular catching her eye, and it's those 3D printers, eyes gleaming in thought and consideration with brows wagging up and down.

Colombe is, for the record, dressed very casually today --- she has put away the silks in favour of a more cyber punk aesthetic; a two-piece suit of black leather, metal, and canvas.

Stanley moves along as he takes in the offered work area, and 3-D printers, looking to Torgue, "Heya, good to see you."

"Artistry has nothing to do with medium. Canvas and linseed matters as much as cordite and semtex in the end, the mind behind it is the only force that is relevant." Paige speaks cooly, evenly, softly. "You do not owe me anything Colombe."

Zago looks back to Mikael. "To be specific, I'm from Nine Mile Point on the West Bank," he says, his accent almost-New York, seemingly incongruous with where he says he's from. "But I used to go frequently. More when I was alive, really."

Netta studies the 3D printer for a moment, "Yes.. this will come in handy.. for a lot of things.." She turns her attention to other various items and equipment, then turns to Columbe again, "So should I need the services of this fine establishment, do I go directly to you? I have moderate income right now but that is subject to change.. soon."

With so much interest in the 3D printer, perhaps, Colombe offers to the room. "For those interested, the Hackerspace is being run similar to a non-profit --- people pay for any materials they consume and the monthly or yearly membership fees are very reasonable. For Kindred with access to Prospect, membership is free." Her expression softens as she looks to Paige, giving the Caitiff a favourable appraisal. "I do not. But as always, I will offer friendship, without strings. What you do with it is up to you."

Netta adds, "..hopefully. I will certainly be in dialogue with the proper authorities. I'll bring it up with the Imperator. Business might be booming.."

Mikael smiles brightly, "A neighbor then. I am Mikael Rousseau. I grew up on a plantation just outside the city. A pleasure to meet you."

"Booming business. That is something I would love to hear about as well, Ms. Jones." Colombe replies to Netta with a grin, while moving up the right side of the room, toward the exit. "Especially if it has to do with your interest in technology. In fact, if you are interested, there is a Camarilla-only space for software-based innovation --- Marathon Tech. Sort of the precursor to this more open space. If you are interested, I will show you it, as well."

"You will then, of course, understand and forgive my hesitation. I still have the last knife lodged in my back." Paige actually moves, drifting her shoulders up into a very slight shrug. "Once bitten, as they say."

Madeline steps over to the 3d printer looking it over carefully having never seen such a thing before.

Silvana smiles a little bit as a lot of people seem interested at the 3D printer. She looks to Zago and grins before she smiles to Mikael. She continues to follow after the guide of course. She waves to Stanley as she notices him.

Angelica walks with Madeline to look at the printer. "Interesting isnt it? I'll be honest as Im not sure on how it works" She chuckles some

Gregory pulls put his tablet and props it where it can be seen, queing up a 3d printing demonstration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71adRZdq23Y&t=46s

Colombe, meanwhile, gives Paige a quiet look, her expression warm, as she waits for those remaining to follow her to the next part of the tour. "I do understand." This is offered to the Caitiff, before her expression shifts, brightening, as she smiles to Gregory and his tutorial. "Gregory, I had no idea you were so technologically-inclined." That said, she continues her oratory, as she moves to the exit. "Moving on, to something that is a bit more within my toolset --- electronics."
You move to Aether and Erebus - Setec Electronics Lab

Aether and Erebus - Setec Electronics Lab(#18211RM)

Put on your lab coat and ESD strap --- this large room is designed to minimize static electricity build-up, but better safe than sorry. Lab users are reminded, prior to being granted access to the room, that they must take ESD training and sign a waiver before using the equipment here. Also, that a catalogue of interesting electronics schematics, kits, and individual components are available for purchase through the café!
This lab is welcoming and bright, despite being windowless. Large worktables dominate the space, providing multiple, orderly, generic electronics work spaces. A wheel-chair accessible worktable is also provided, on the right side of the room.
Each workstation has a complete electronics lab with measuring and test equipment (digital oscilloscopes, soldering/desoldering station, multimeters) and a drawer with spare common components.
The wall at the far end of the table displays a large smart screen; the wall closest to the door has two large white boards and a bookshelf with electronics workbooks and theory manuals.
Counters line the walls providing specialized equipment for more intricate electronics work. The left wall is lined with precision soldering stations for surface mount and other precision soldering. The right wall has a counter with free space and a door to a locked room with a sign that reads, 'Etching Room --- if you have a board design, ask at the café for print pricing!'.
Colombe walks in and proceeds up the left side of the room again. This space is much more pristine than the machine shop --- dust is managed; everything is organized, and space is ample, providing room for even large electronics engineers. "The electronics lab should be popular, I hope. Not many people have access to these kinds of tools --- I really hope to see a lot of new faces in here."

Mikael looks to Silvana and then back to Zago, "Perhaps the Mademoiselle will show you where my restaurant and lounge are." He turns and follows Colombe to the next area of the tour. As he arrives his eyes widen and he turns to look towards Gregory, "I believe we have found a favorite of yours, mon ami."

Stanley nods, looking around, "This is impressive, can't lie about that. all kinds of things can be constructed here, it seems."

Silvana smiles at Mikael and then nods "We can surely add it to the list of places to visit" she looks to Zago and smiles. She actually let's go of his arm and goes to check some of the stuff out looking over some of the components available.

Gregory rubs his hands together as he checks out the gizmos and thingamajigs. "This place does inspire maniacal, mad scientist laughter, does it not?"

Colombe stifles a laugh, coughing warmly, as Gregory engages with the equipment. She smiles to Stanley, then to Mikael, Silvana and Zago. "We should have an event at your restaurant, M. Rousseau. Perhaps some dancing and a bit of a whirl on the carousel."

"Charmed," Zago says to Mikael. "Never thought I'd meet a real Creole out here." He listens in to Silvana, then lets her do her thing, looking around with seemingly much less comprehension at all of the contemporary tools of tech.

"But what precisely?" Paige speaks once more, softly, to Stanley.

Torgue hmms at the electronics space, tapping at her chin with the tools and places. "I could do some fancy things out here with all this kit." she comments with. Is that mischief? And a gleam in her eyes

Silvana smiles after she's done her exploring of the components and returns to Zago's side retaking his arm with a smile.

Amelie looks around in here, "Tres bon. If only I knew how any of this works. Perhaps there are lessons to be learned in here."

Netta glances at the workstations, "I'm liking this certainly. And this is the area that is open only to Kindred?" She is asking Columbe.

Colombe shakes her head to Netta. "No this space is open to the public. Everything in Aether and Erebus is open to the public." She pauses. "Marathon Tech is a separate warehouse building, to the south."

Angelica moves over to where Madeline is once again, her eyes taking in the vast room and gadgets.

"Yeah, I'm at a loss in here," Zago admits. "That's okay. There's time for that."

Stanley looks to Paige, and nods, "Fine question. I guess it'll take a bit to come up with an idea of what they could make." He smirks, "Facsinating." Considering.

Madeline smiles warmly as she observes and nods to Angelica "I think you could find quite a bit to do here dont you cheri?

Mikael looks over at Amelie and gives her a warm smile and then nods to Zago, "I understand computers and basics but I am not as comfortable with them."

Gregory takes a couple of small notes and examines the gear, and question at hand... "As they say, neccessity is the mother of invention. What one needs or desires will direct the creative process."

Silvana lightly pats Zago's arm "it's not too bad, but I can understand how easily someone can feel lost in here"

"Inspiration is also free here." Colombe grins warmly to Stanley, and by extension, Paige. "There are over a hundred different electronics kits on hand, browsable on the Aether and Erebus web site. Every week, one of the staff will pick a kit to put on sale." To the matter of tech --- she speaks as she moves up the right side of the room, grinning quietly. "There are beginner schematics and tools, for those looking to venture outside their comfort zones."

"Oh, nah, I meant more like, I have no idea what to do with this stuff," Zago says. But when Colombe mentions beginner schematics, he seems intrigued. "That doesn't sound so bad, though."

"I am hoping for a perpetual energy engine using the static electricty in the air converted to useably power." Paige responds slowly to Stanley. "But it will be seen."

"If you can do that, Paige, I would certainly invest in one --- it can cleanse the air in here and maybe power the lights and tools." Colombe offers this as she stands by the exit, preparing to leave.

Netta nods at Columbe's clarification, "Makes sense actually." She has nothing further to add though. When Columbe leaves, Netta gives her another nod, and she turns to Ed, "Have you seen our Primogen tonight? I was hoping he'd be there actually.."

"Martino?" Ed replies with a rolls of her shoulders. "Naw. I tend to see him at Court, if I am going to see him anywhere. Spends an fair bit of time above ground, minding his restaurant. Actually, once we get you situated, I do have a bit of a job for you. But we can talk about it later."

Stanley chuckles, "That'd be funny, whipping up something weird." He considers. "Time to look through the kits, see what's there."

You move to Aether and Erebus - Dollhouse VR Room

Aether and Erebus - Dollhouse VR Room(#18441R)
This large room is a blank slate. Eschewing the conventional grid-look, every surface is painted in green-screen. There is a tablet mounted to the wall near the door for controlling the cameras, projectors, lights, and other hardware installed in the upper corners of the room. The tablet has a helpful interface for loading VR programs (+view VR).

"As you can see, the room is ready for... something. But as of yet, we have no programs." Colombe looks hopeful, however. "I may have something installed for the Grand Opening this weekend --- it is a prototype. But when it is up and running, I intend to make the tools for creating VR experiences accessible, so people can develop their own visions."

Torgue's brain gears get churning when she hears a lack of programs for tonight and nods slowly. She might have an idea for that she's going to have to weigh in on.

Stanley considers the VR suite, shrugging a bit, "I've got no idea what can be done here, but it looks pretty impressive, honestly."

Silvana nods in agreement with Stanley as she glances around with a smile.

Gregory checks around for a moment. "Super heroes. Super Heroes are the current 'go to' entertainment, Or Zombies, Or Super Heroes vs Zombies."

Amelie looks around the blank slate here. "VR? So to make it like we step into something that seems real? Like a... holodeck?"

Colombe grins to Gregory. "Full motion tracking makes it actually a very compelling activity. I would like to see more development in the realm of reciprocal sensory experiences, however."
"You should all try VR Chat." Colombe adds. "Google it --- it's a frontier for virtual socialization, much like IRC was in the 80's."

Mikael looks around the room with a bright smile at Amelie and then Colombe, "We have VR games at Timeless. I would love to be able to have such an experience without the head gear."

"Games..." Paige says, before she clucks her tongue once and shakes her head.

Ed makes a bit of a face, as something in her bag starts to chime. "Uuugh. Know who that is. Sorry Colombe, I'm gonna have to bow out a bit early," the Nosferatu says, as she pulls a computer out of her bag and holds it out to the Keeper. "See if you can get past the Security. Figure you can," the Sheriff continues with a grin. "Eventually."

Colombe grins to Mikael and glances to Paige, eyes quietly amused before she replies. "I think a mix --- the headsets are fairly mature, and provide an excellent immersion. But I would like to see where this particular project goes." She looks to everyone remaining. "Well, this concludes the interesting parts of the tour, I think. There is also a conference room, which anyone can book. And my office, and the server room. I hope everyone had a good time." She gives Ed a look, part anticipatory, and part intrigued. "Oh really? I will keep you posted, Sheriff."

Stanley chuckles, "Program in Lady DarkClaw." He looks around, and nods, seeming satisfied.

Silvana can't help but peek over to Ed hands the computer over to the keeper and then smiles softly. She nods "Very impressive place indeed" she smiles. Mikael glances to Paige and gives her a grin before he hears Stanely and chuckles, "/That/ would be interesting indeed."

"If you want, I can do that for you, Stanley," Ed says, lifting a hand in farewell as she takes her leave.
