Introduction
Most institutions demand unqualified faith; but the institution of science makes skepticism a virtue.

Stereotypes
More Demonstrable Evidence Needed
Traditions I think that sometimes people believe in superstition a bit too much. It's unfortunate.
Technocracy You...you have a clo- clon- people-copying tank?! How does it work? I want to see!
Vampire Guess I'm supposed to kill you, but I don't really care.
Werewolf Bone Gnawers might serve Rat, but I'm still not sure about them.
Wraith I've said it before: if ghosts exist, prove it and claim your Nobel Prize.
Changeling Another unfortunate belief. And a silly one, at that.
Demon The Bible says day and night were created the first day, and the sun on the fourth. The evidence is against this concept.

Contacts
Chance It's weird we get along, but I like it. I'll help you, if I can.

Marcus Friend. And a very unlikely defender.

Lexus You seemed perfectly polite to me.

Allan Cousin. Lawyer. Just don't carve me up, okay?

Klem I'm unsure about you. But Chance trusts you.

Cyn The tail suits you. Enjoy.

Cross Another I'm unsure about. Seems like we could have discussion, though.

Seven I think I like you! And you like rats, too.

Eloise A sensible organic farming hippie? A sensible GENETICIST hippie?

RP Hooks
Medic: Need painkillers, or something to make you sleep? Need patched up, when going to a hospital (or using magic) might be...inconvenient? Need 'spare parts' without the fuss and muss of collecting organs yourself? Rumour has it Dreizehn can help.

Scientists: He's got a bit of an...obsession. Need a lab assistant or tech? He has skills in medicine, genetics, biology, and is particularly effective in repairing equipment or jury rigging the machines a good doctor might need from scratch. On the other hand, you might find a stray lab rat poking its nose about your lab a bit too intently.

Ratkin: He is one. A very Weaverish one, and not typically liked by other rats because of this. But still, they're his family, and he'll help out how he can. Likewise, he's constantly struggling between his instinct (destructive and chaotic) and logic and order.

Technomancers: He'll probably want to meet you. A lot. In fact, he'd be very, very interested in learning about the Union's world view and values. Unfortunately, they might also want to murder him.

Priests: He's intolerant of them. In fact, it extends to fortune tellers, psychic hotlines and the like. He believes very strongly that it's crooked and immoral to ask someone to pay for something unfounded, and (in his opinion) unhealthily superstitious. Especially under threat of damnation.

  • Caged Folk: Dreizehn has a score of family who never underwent the Birthing Plague. They're sentient rodents, clever as any human, and can help him out with various tasks, though they're also quite paranoid.
  • Danger Sense: Sometimes he can sense when things are not right. It gives him a bit of time to shift or bolt. Or both.
  • Pain Tolerance: As a lab rat, Dreizehn was vivisected, and suffered chronic pain for several years. It's left him tough and able to endure a bit better than most others.
