Description
An imposing figure in a black cloak with a beakish facade in the form of a bone white plague mask. The mask's eyes are open hollows and the wearer's own can be seen glinting in the darkness. The design of the leather mask is crude but the color is a pristine bone white and fashioned to look like a bird. The plague doctor carries a lantern atop a staff and wears a belt with lots of satchels. He also wears a scabbard for a sword but there is no hilt, no blade. In the scabbard is a simple stick, two feet long and polished to a shine, many medical professionals carry such a stick for investigating undesirable ailments. (5'10)

Ioan the Surgeon - In life Inima was from a wealthy family and she received a quality education from her father who was a surgeon. She showed a deep interest in medicine but because she was a woman of status she was unable to practice outside the family home. When she was 19 a fire claimed her family, their home and left her disfigured. Even in a time of great despair she saw hope and opportunity; Inima became Ioan and took her brother's place. Her brother had been an apprentice surgeon under her father, following their deaths Inima assumed Ioan's identity and sought a new teacher. Ioan's corpse stood in for Inima and she was presumed dead along with her parents. The siblings were twins and similar in height so the rouse was never questioned. She (as Ioan) inherited what remained of her father's estate after nursing herself back to health.

(The Good Doctor) This Merit is sometimes called the halo effect; everyone considers the player pure and innocent, though not necessarily naive. The player has a saint-like quality that is hard to pinpoint but cannot be denied. The player is trusted, even if they are not trustworthy. At the Storyteller's discretion, the players tend to receive lesser punishments for wrongdoing, and they are liked by most.
