Introduction Rod's a detective with the Prospect Police Department, Special Investigations Unit. He's not the most sociable on the force; he comes in, works his cases, and then goes home. Most officers find his intensity more than a little unnerving, and there's a lot of whispers about the fact that his last partner went on permanent leave after a gang boss they were tracking was mauled to death by some sort of large animal.
