"Consider the black widow spider. It's a timid little beastie, useful and, for my taste, the prettiest of the arachnids, with its shiny, patent-leather finish and its red hourglass trademark. But the poor thing has the fatal misfortune of possessing enormously too much power for its size. So everybody kills it on sight."
― Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land

| Ananasi: I mean I think we're all on the same side, though I only ever met the one other Damhàn that I know about and heard of a few others.
Garou: Was kinda told to avoid them, apparently some of 'em just want to kill us werespiders. Don't be in the way of a raging garou, just point 'em at something useful to tear up.
Vampires: Honestly, I've been mistaken for one a few times. Told when I'm huntin' I do a lot of the same tricks. A lot of people don't get the whole blood thing, but I do. I really, really do.
Ratkin: Had a couple scrapes with 'em in Atlanta. Can't say I trust 'em. Kinda wonder what one tastes like.
Mages: I mean Queeny wants me to figure out some magic as a mystic, so maybe if I can find a friendly one of them I could learn somethin'.
Dragons: I shouldn't be surprised, but I honestly didn't think they existed, or were dead. Seems they do exist an' are very much alive.
Black Widow Spiders: Alright, look, I know I'm a walkin' meme save for the accent, but my spider girls are the original, the local spider, and I'm going to do it some justice. Besides, they're actually pretty timid and cautious critters. Lots of spiders will go out of their way to attack prey, but you know black widows are actually pretty laid back. People just keep not checkin' their damn shoes and practically squishin' the poor things.
Brown Widow Spiders: I still think they're part of some kind of conspiracy and my girls ain't been doing too well against 'em. But me, I kill 'em on sight. Damn invasive species.

| I'm currently workin' for Archimedes as a Front Desk Secretary/School Administrator/Paperwork Ninja (he still hasn't settled on a title) at Wind in the Willow Institute, so a decent chunk of the time I can be found there. I also sleep there fer now. If ya hear any banjo playin', that's me.
Archimedes: "Ran into him in a coffee shop and fer once I got a place to stay free fer the night out o' a plain wholesome experience. Were a nice change of pace. A mat at his dojo ain't the most comfy bed I've had by far, but it's gettin' me by. He's since given me a job operatin' the front desk, somethin' that lets him have more time to teach more. It's kind of satisfying in a way, but a lot o' paperwork."
Arielle: "Purtty li'l thang. Graceful like a princess. Probably were a prom queen. Sure woulda beaten me for the title, that is, if I'd ran, and I'd 'ave won in my High School. Anyway, she seems ta have a fondness fer Book who runs the Greenstone Buildin' Bookstore, and decided ta be the greeter for the grand openin'. She seems real nice."
Bronwyn: "Genuine weird girl. Really likes feet from the time I saw her at the grand openin' o' the bookstore, but I ain't too sure if that's a legitimate quirk or a whimsy o' the moment. Not too sure what else to make o' her yet either."
Ji-a: "Nice girl I ran into just outside of Archimedes' li'l dojo. Turns out she's a student. Shoulda guessed. She's quite bubbly and I still need to get her to show me that sake place she mentioned."
Sark: "Ahright, I admit, I fell fer that li'l trap, but it were harmless enough. Not every day ya meet a dragon. Wants ta be able to fly the skies freely again, mostly just looks for knowledge. Guess he can add my secret ta it. I think I can count on his help if'n I need it. I'm gonna have to practice my bluffin' fer the next time I see that kind o' illusion though. Ananasa will accept it happenin' once since I'm still learnin', but I better have learned it good."

| Arachnophobia Warning: As Jessica is a werespider, spiders are almost certain to come up eventually in RP, and in conflicts she may be inclined to transform into a spider to fight. If the descriptions start to trigger in an RP, let me know and I can tone it down.
Hemophobia Warning: Ananasi have a taste for blood and mechanics around it similar to vampires, and for Jessica it will come up about as it would for vampires. As above, if the descriptions start to trigger in an RP, let me know and I can tone it down.

- Jessica works at the Wind in the Willow Institute at the front desk, so sometimes just walking in the front door can be enough to strike something up.
- Joining her for drinks is generally something she's up for, and maybe something more if the cards are played right.
- Once or twice a week, Jessica needs blood.
- Jessica really, really hates Brown Widows and wages her own private little war against them. She has yet to encounter any Ananasi that are predominantly Brown Widow. She derives joy from killing Brown Widows in her Crawlerling form.
