Executive summary of Plot:Viral_Vampire_Video

IC events

Dates listed here are OOC. Some IC dates are probably shifted forward or backward, to account for scenes that ICly occurred in immediate succession.

2025-11-29

  • Gaunt shares video with Court officers. Posted locally, faces unidentifiable.

2025-12-05

  • Court investigates Holland Alley. Unmarked black vans abducting unknown targets. Surveillance drone. Hospitals have no reports of blood loss or bite wounds. Morgue receives hunter killed at railyard.
  • Court interrogates Marcus Avery. He admits the video was staged and describes the journal, but is killed before handing it over.
  • Gunfire overheard west of campus.
  • Unnatural howl overheard near railyard (since identified as hybrid #1).
  • Journal describes long-haired biker vampire (since identified as Daniels), suspected of killing unnamed hunter at railyard.

2025-12-12

  • Black vans, drones, sniper believed to be connected, possibly Anubis Group (multiple shell companies, ties to Prospect and Los Angeles).
  • Sniper did not attempt to retrieve journal.
  • Anubis Group may be a front or rival of Order of St. Michael.
  • Vegard's orders: do not draw attention, quietly identify root causes and eliminate issues.

2026-01-02

  • Order of St. Michael seeks Christian relics lost during or after World War I. Current target is "Angel's Blood", aka Sanguis Angelorum, whatever that is. West Horizon Realty LLC (front company, presumably for the Order) has been buying up old churches.
  • Augur_1837 traced to Paladin Games.

2026-01-09

  • Morgue security guard unnaturally unconscious, rose petals nearby (to frame someone, presumably Gaunt).
  • Court interrogates Marcus's spirit. He sensed the church warding, and talked to someone else about an occult investigation group meeting at a game shop near UC Prospect.
  • Second body (since identified as Bill) dropped off, killed by claw attacks. Court removes body to be investigated elsewhere.

2026-01-15

  • Court interrogates Bill's spirit. He was killed by an unnatural creature (since identified as hybrid #2; humanoid, claws, bone plating, no pain reaction when shot by police; likely connected to railyard and Echo Bridge events, and black vans; possibly another attempt to frame Gaunt). He may have been killed just for happening to be there.
  • Court investigates Pilot Travel Center. Blood trail leads to large steel culvert beneath road.

2026-01-22

  • Astral scouting turns up:
    • Hybrid #2, dead or at least incapacitated.
    • A kindred matching the biker's description and MO (since identified as Daniels), severely injured, presumably due to taking out the hybrid.
  • Biker was fed enough to draw him further from the point of Final Death, then staked for safety reasons before both of them were evacuated to the cells at Secrets.

2026-01-29

  • Biker is unstaked, fed more, and interrogated.
    • Identifies himself as Daniels, deputy to Sheriff Mitchell of Los Angeles, tasked with tracing the hybrids to their source. Says their creators are field-testing them.
    • Used a silver bullet to kill hybrid #1, which was merely distracted by police gunfire.
    • Mentions "strange rumors" about the Court of Prospect, implying prior suspicion that the source was local to us rather than them.
    • Mentions Bright Sun, a holding company shipping freight out of Laguna Beach. About three months ago, they received a major funding increase and expanded throughout the West Coast.
    • Released to contact Sheriff Mitchell, politely invited to attend our court.
  • Hybrid #2 was released from a van, starving. Dragged a trucker out of his truck and fed, spat some blood back into his mouth, then heard Bill nearby and killed him, then was attacked by Daniels.
  • Autopsy of hybrid #2 is pending.

2026-02-05

  • New leads:
    • Group of people below Redwood underpass (south side of town) behaving erratically, blocking foot traffic. Police reported three homeless men severely disoriented, blackened veins on neck and forearms, before the group dispersed.
    • Railyard security reports possible assault near inactive service spur. Dark viscous residue along gravel and concrete pylons. Wet coughing sounds, then shouting that abruptly stopped. No bodies found.
    • Group of at least five homeless men, one matching appearance of truck driver, dragging people away from bus stop near Pilot Travel Center, behind a fence bordering an industrial access road. Scuffed concrete, dropped transit card, but no further signs of struggle.

2026-02-12

  • Bus stop victim abducted around midnight, too quickly to put up a fight, dropping transit card in the process.
  • Graffiti on inside panel of bus shelter says "12:13 AM", added shortly after abduction.
  • Truck driver was killed by hybrid, potentially due to being a failed conversion.
  • Drone spotted, tracked to black van parked in alley a few blocks away. Three-person team: driver, armed security in passenger seat, drone operator in rear. Interrogated, then memories wiped:
    • They work for Bright Sun.
    • They were told to monitor the vicinity, but not why.
    • They know to expect infectees.
    • Their supervisor is one Eddie Fordham.
  • About six to nine infectees spotted heading toward the city proper.

2026-02-19

  • Infectees tailed and neutralized via stake, vehicle collision, and/or thaumaturgy.
  • Person spotted visually monitoring infectees from nearby rooftop.

2026-02-26

  • Rooftop monitor identified as unacknowledged kindred, staked. Retrieved tracking (and/or attracting?) device, Bright Sun security ID, burner phone.
  • Four more groups of infectees in vicinity, handed off to day shift security prior to sunrise.

  • Unnamed Hunter killed at railyard, beheaded by sword.
  • Deputy Daniels of Los Angeles. Killed unnamed hunter at railyard, hybrids #1 and #2, and injured Cedric.

  • Father Calder. Last priest assigned to the church. Died circa 2022-2023.

  • Bill, accountant. Killed at Pilot Travel Center.
  • Hybrid(s) with elements of Tzimisce/Gangrel/Nosferatu.

  • Unnamed Infectee Handler, unacknowledged Gangrel, staked and held for interrogation.

Places of interest

  • Holland Alley: Four blocks north of UC Prospect. (4th and Comet/Belvedere.) Video was staged here. Graffiti. Gawkers: many.
  • Prospect Freight Terminal, East Yard: Two miles east of city center. (Ash and Broadway.) Abandoned. Hunter's journal was found here. Hunter (Order of St. Michael brand) was decapitated and ripped open here by Daniels. Gawkers: none (yet).
  • Echo Bridge, aka Ramsgate Underpass: South of UC Prospect. (4th and Comet/Lincoln.) Hybrid #1 was here, shot by police officers to little effect, killed by Daniels. Gawkers: some.
  • Sacred Heart Church, aka West End Church: Crudely boarded up soon after Father Calder's death, unusually untouched since (presumably warded).
  • Paladin Games. Near UC Prospect, two blocks away from Holland Alley. (4th and Comet/Belvedere.) Augur_1837 frequents it.
  • Unnamed game shop mentioned by Marcus's spirit. Near UC Prospect. Same as Paladin?
  • Pilot Travel Center. National City (just south of Prospect). Hybrid #2 was released here, killing unnamed trucker and Bill before being killed by Daniels.
