User comments	They say you must sacrifice your old self to be able to welcome your new self, but that?s easier said than done when you actually really liked the person you were. Was I a perfect person before? Oh HELL no, there was so much about myself and my life that blatantly warranted change- but being pregnant has made me realize how much I took for granted before and the appreciation I missed for so many little things. This has been quite honestly the most challenging soul searching journey I?ve been on so far. For every woman pregnancy is a different experience, and for me it?s been a struggle of figuring out who the Hell I still am when so many daily luxuries are stripped away. At first the biggest challenge was sobriety. The moment I found out I was pregnant I cold turkey quit smoking cigarettes, smoking weed, drinking, ALL drugs, taking adderall, drinking coffee. These may seem like small sacrifices but my lifestyle was based around socializing, entertaining, traveling, partying, and then suddenly becoming the only sober person in a sea of loved ones living their lives as normal plus hormones through the roof that make you guess your every word and move has been isolating to say the least. Some days I?ve never felt so disconnected from not only the people I love, but from myself as a whole. The second challenge has surfaced where now with over 40 extra pounds on my body and 2 more months to go, I not only don?t feel like myself but I no longer even LOOK like myself. It?s made me focus inward and really ask, WHO AM I REALLY? And what defines me? The greatest lessons to learn are also the hardest, and this one has been a doozie. Don?t get me wrong, I am so grateful I am lucky enough to be able to have a baby, for SO MANY don?t have the luxury or the opportunity and for that I will always be thankful ???? but this message is for anyone thinking that this process is supposed to be ONLY beautiful sunshine and rainbows with no pain or sacrifice. With all that being said, I wouldn?t have it any other way ?? thank you for the beautiful shot @shootmepeter and the reminder of who I was, and who I will once again be- except even brighter, even stronger, and even more resilient
