  • This replaces trading extra Conviction for virtues.
  • Raising edges does not require raising virtues first (that cap only applies during chargen). Level 5 edges are allowed, subject to the prerequisites from HPG 91.
  • Gaining your first creed edge at a new level is limited on the '+rules minimum time' scale. (Example, if you're approved as a Judge with Judgment 2, then three months later, you can raise either Judgment or Creed Judgment to 3.)
  • Non-creed edges can't be raised higher than your highest creed edge.

  • Raising a discipline above 1 requires "Domitor (background)", see '+rules domitor' for details. This does not exactly match canon concept or game mechanics, it's intentionally house-ruled to put ghouls with PC/NPC domitors and revenants all on an equal footing.
  • Ghouls may learn blood magic, but get no Subrace discounts and are otherwise limited per '+rules ghouls', '+rules buying disciplines', and '+rules multiclass' as usual. (Secondary paths cost the same as primary path, per Fatal Addiction pg 85.)

Learning rites with time instead of XP:

  • Requires another PC who knows the rite to act as the 'elder'
    • This PC can earn renown for teaching
    • Learning from a NPC elder is ICly possible, but requires XP instead of time
  • Student rolls Intelligence + Rituals vs (10 - Intelligence) once per N weeks (N = rite level) (once per 3 days for a minor rite), must accumulate N+ successes
    • Fail: Spend a Willpower to continue (counts toward monthly limit on spending Willpower on jobs)
    • Botch: Wait three months (or less with relevant RP at staff discretion) and start over
  • Student may only study one rite at a time this way, but may pause one to work on another

Cubs may learn rites as long as they have enough Rituals knowledge.

Gurahl: Gifts from a previous auspice count as in-auspice. This includes Rip Van Winkle, but not auspices skipped via Early Maturation.

  • For this purpose, only a PC vampire counts as a teacher. Use +request to claim the discount. Drinking the teacher's blood is not required (that rule is only in MET and V20).
  • Generation: See House_Rules/Vampire#Generation. This takes precedence over the usual XP cost for backgrounds.
  • Laibon: Orun and Aye are capped per Ebony Kingdom page 86.
