She's a medical doctor, having earned her medical degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.  She completed her First year and Residency at the UNM Hospital studying children's medicine and oncology.  She complete her residency and in 2015 and has been working at UNM on oncological research, as well leading a practice in pediatric oncology.</p>
