Looking this over, I am thinking that Den Realms don't translate quite so perfectly with Caerns.
While the latter is 'everyone possible come running to save it', the former is a personal responsibility. It may have similar rewards and penalties, but instead of 'a' Den Realm, should be 'your' Den Realm, with lesser rewards for aiding an ally.
