The Get of Fenris are recruited by Journey to kill Skullpigs
IC Date 04/25/2021
IC Time Yes
Players Leif (also ST), Steinar, Journey, Dale, Ande, Theron
Location Somewhere in the rural area of the Sept of Enduring Spirit Protectorate

Shaderunner is running, Silent Striders running, big surprise, but he's heading for Howling Hill where the new voices came from. Invisible paws eating the distance, bouncing off this log and that rock, jumping nimbly, focused, concentrating as he runs, jumping off a tree to stop his velocity, approaching the area of the howls.

It's just another day at Stonecreek. Normal sort of day. Chores to be done. Nothing fancy. Then a howl goes up... then a.. second one? Leif happens to be near a small gathering and his brow arches. "Let's go greet people. C'mon." And then he shifts to lupus and runs out to track down the howls, letting out one of his own. >>I am Leif, Get Tribal Leader. Follow my howl and I will lead you.<< There are likely a few shorter howls from everyone to draw people into a central location, pretty close to howling hill.

Steinar was being introspective. Thoughtful. Unusually quiet even for him. Moody, broody. He does notice the howls, though, and hearing the howl of Leif. He slowly pushes up to his feet, reaching for his backpack to shoulder. Focused on the howling, he decides to join the Tribal Leader of the Get of Fenris, although doing so quietly.

Dale, just another gray wolf, with puffed up fur who might have rubbed against some static for ploompf. He hears Leif's howl and follows in the direction on all four paws. The Cliath is nimble and lopes in the direction where he heard the Tribal Leader. When he gets in closer he makes a chuff <<Hey Hey.>> He greets with a dip of his head down and the wolf props himself to sit back on his haunches until all arrive.

Shaderunners ears quirk at the answering howl from The Wall. blip, running, moving through the woods, cutting a hard path to intercept the Get Tribal Leader. The howls are heard. Ande appears, stopping at a high-point to assess those gathering at the central location. She is a grey wolf, notable only for her size and the steady gaze of its clear amber eyes. She is a bit on the thin side, but her nobility can't be denied. She so resembles her ancestors, presenting as an ideal Scandinavian grey wolf. She descends, loping down to meet. Her reply is softer, but warm. <<Greetings, brethren>>

Fucknormous Wolf is fucking HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. This is like a 200 lb wolf, ya'll. He's massive. Tip to tail, 7 feet long. This thing doesn't look like something you want to fuck with. There is also a tiny little half-grown wolf that sits at his side, made to look even smaller by his huge size. Once he has eyes on the new people, he calls out in a lower, longer howl, >>I am ritenamed The Wall and I am Homid Fostern Modi by birth and rank and auspice. I am the great Grandson of Dies Twice, ranked grand elder before he was returned to the cycle in honorable battle against the wyrm. My pack has dedicated itself to the Wild Raven, to give us strength and the ability to defeat our foes. In service to Gaia and by the will of my tribe, I am also the Tribal Leader for the Get of Fenris. Please, come an join us and be welcome.<< >>Freya! Me! Little Wolf!<< the tiny little pup howls. >>Daughter of The Wall! Found! Me, yes!<< Freya has her own intro now. It's cute. Not great.

Did Steinar run all this way as a human? Naw, that would have been silly. He ran as a wolf, but the moment they reached the Howling Hill, he went back to being a human. It was .. instinct, really. Human is what he was born as. Homid. Legs and arms. He comes to a stop behind and to the left of the really large wolf. Watching the new snouts. Faces. Snouts. Wolves. He does wait a moment, though.

Dale pulls back further to sit upright on his haunches as the prehistoric size Wall comes into view with his daughter. <<Fabulously shocked by your gi-normous height!>> He ruffs to Leif. <<Honored to meet you and your daughter.>> A ruff laugh continues as he's charmed by Freya and her pup howls. <<Yes, yes little one. I see you, girl.>> His ears prick up to see steinar when he arrives, and Ande, and ... Shaderunner. They also get a poised chuff of greeting.

Ande meets the gaze of the Fucknormous Wolf. << I am Åndebrand Siare, Ande by friends. Born in nature by kinfolk wolves, rited Spirit Fire, mystic Theurge, Seidr Volva, Cliath of the nation of Fenris.>> She looks warmly to little Freya. <<Greetings, child.>>

Shaderunner SHOOTS out of the woods passing right in front of Leif, jumping to plant four paws on a tree and jump lightly down to the ground. <<Greetings. I am Shaderunner. An Elder. Be quiet.>> He says to everyone moving to The Wall. <<There are six Kinfolk trapped in a cabin, surrounded by a pack of skullpigs, threatening them. The Wyrm rises and there is death to deal, have you the claws?>>

Steinar, yet to be unnamed, opens his mouth as if to speak his own introduction to the two newcomers. But with the appearance of the Elder, he silences. Mouth closes. He lets his eyes go to the Elder, then to The Wall. His hand does lift up, though, to the dagger hanging from his neck in a leathercord; dagger made out some sort of large beasts fang.

When something as big as that wolf takes a step back, you KNOW it's something. Then Shaderunner is order people to be quiet and there isn't a SOUND. Even Freya goes still, crouched down, ears a little flat. >>Yes, Shaderunner.<< No hesitation, no waiting, no thinking about it. They are Fenrir. He turns to the others. >>Home will have to wait. There is the Wyrm to deal with and Kinfolk to save. Freya, Home.<< Freya's ears droop a little, but she turns to head back home at a lope, probably to pout at mother.

Dale gives a silent mime of his right clawed paw giving a swoosh, back and forth. He was born ready and rolls his shoulders forward to stomp back down on all fours. The rotagar is eager to work with the others to save some kin. Hellll yes.

Ande crouches before Shaderunner before her eyes rise and she replies. >>The vile servants of the Wyrm will know my rage.>>

Steinar gives a quick nod, although still does not say anything. He lowers his hand from the dagger around his neck, sucking in a deep breath. He lets his head throw back, emitting a low growl before he suddenly drops forward on all fours as he melts into the form of wolf.

Shaderunner looks to the Wall, and then around, growling, <<Then let's go, there's a Moon Bridge, and a plan.>> He starts moging, light spilling between two trees, silvery moonlight as the air splits into an opening of glowing spiritstuff in the form of a passage opening in the air. In the Strider leaps. Running through the gently sloping upward, then straight, then downward tube of light, shadows moving in the walls of the way you pass through, then a darker opening ahead, leading into a different wood, heavier, far thicker, pine trees, more mountainous terrain. Colder too. Shaderunner is moving in the clearing you have arrived in. He changes to a Man, and gestures to huddle up. "Battleplan."

Fucknormous Wolf follows without hesitation. >>Come<< he says to the others, slipping along, actually getting quite used to the moon bridge. It's a little disorienting when you step out, kind of like when you hit the bottom of a rollercoaster. That tummy-dropping sensation sort of thing. Once out, he follows into his homid form and goddamn if he isn't just as fucking huge in homid. He motions everyone toward them and waits for further orders.

Ande shifts into a woman, tall, standing statuesque at 5'11", with a mass of long, curly red hair. Not classically beautiful, but strangely alluring, her clothing is casual, a baja hoodie and denim cut-offs. Her eyes scan the scenery like the predator she is --- in homid form, she has the appearance of being faintly alien. She steps to stand, proudly, with the others.

Knockout Queen leaps through to run into the shimmering tube, and chases after Shaderunner and The Wall for the journey onward. The drop makes him hunker down and then he's pawing forward on all fours to catch up. With wider eyes he looks to Steinar, and Ande too, and gathers to hear the battle plan from the Elder. He shakes off the cooler forest temp with his pluffy fur and grows quiet to hear orders.

Timber Wolf whom is Steinar, has been through Moon Bridges before. They are not new to him. Very little would be. He follows his Alpha without hesitation, knowing what to expect from the trip itself. As for fearing what is on the other end? Well, the Elder is moving first. He'll soak up any first volley damage.. .. but thankfully, there is no such thing. Once they reach the end of the Bridge, huddling up with the Elder for a plan, the Godi remains in wolf form. Better senses.

Journey pulls from his satchel a slice of polished stone, a geode, with an image on it, a box canyon, one way in, one house, clearing, several large masses scattered around the clearing, "This is right that way." He says, "Eight Skullpigs around the cabin. Quarter of a mile that way." He points, "We have control of the only, exit here. I'm going to go here." He taps the house, "And drive them this way, away from the Kinfolk. You guys set up for an ambush as they come running this way, and we'll meet in the middle. Sound good?" He looks around.

Leif leans in to look, taking in the battle plan. "Yes. I'll head up the middle. You two.." He indicates Dale and Ande. ".. you'll go for the kinfolk once everything's flushed out. Pick off anything that's in your way. If I call out, call back your status. Okay, need help, hurt, whatever. Communication is absolutely key. Steinar. You'll go down with me. Anything that gets past me, take care of it. Be alert for anyone else who needs help. Questions? Or are we ready to move?"

Timber Wolf, whom is Steinar, lets out a growled sound in reply as he acknowledges the plan and orders. And also, as a way to confirm that he is indeed ready for battle is that his body suddenly changes. His fur gets strangely mottled, some of his fur disappearing for strange thick warts and other firm skin. He just looks.. ugly. And smells worse, too. The (in)famous Troll Skin of the Get of Fenris.

Journey takes a breath "Skullpigs are bane ridden versions of the local California wild pig that get taken by the Wyrm, the real danger to them is when they eat the flesh of intelligent creatures, they gain intelligence themselves. They are thick hided tanks with a nasty gore, and they are pretty fast." He looks around and nods as people get set up, Leif taking command of the forces here.

Knockout Queen turns his head to look at Ande. <<Partners. We get the kin, when they flush out. Got it.>> He looks all too excited to rush some skullpigs if necessary.

Timber Wolf, whom is Steinar, lets out a growled sound as he pushes up to his paws. He circles around a bit, to then come to a stop. He waits for his Alpa to move first, or if he is ordered to move first.

Journey looks around, as people prepare, "Okay okay, we ready?" He nods, and shifts, Crinos, then shifts again, fur sharpening, metallic, turning poisonous silver as he draws a blade of knapped fire opal, concentrating as light glimmers from him, teeth gnashing as he shakes out his spines, looking to the Wall. Shaderunner explodes upward into a massive Egyptian horror. (Delerium effect +rules The Delirium)

The Wall shifts to crinos and all of his claws make a brief, metallic CLINK sound. He grumbles a little and shifts from foot to foot. SILVER claws, ya'll. Dale can be jealous of his manicure - or not. >>Wait for them to exit, then we rush. You two..<< Dale and Ande... >>.. let Steinar, Theron and I go first. Give us ten paces and then split off.<<

Ande, aka SpiritFire, grits her teeth, holding back a roar in the name of stealth and shifts into Crinos. She rakes her claws against a rock, and readies to assist in rescuing the kinfolk, when it is time.

Knockout Queen snuffs, as <Dale> intends to stay in hispo and shows off his teeth to SpiritFire. The Queen is a biter. He moves to hide behind some brush for the ambush part of their plan. His eyes watch her, as if mentally making note they need to move as one to get to those Kin.

Yeah, let the kinfolk go first! Theron hefts his shield and sword and then moves with The Wall. Is that a smile spreading on the kinfolks face? Only the Get of Fenris would understand.

The Wall looks around at all the prep and nods to Journey. >>We're ready, Elder.<< And then he crouches ever so slightly and gets the fuck READY Shaderunner snarls, leaps in the air. And vanishes. Blip, gone. Huh? In the distance, light spews forth from a new dawn coming from the top of the house as a might bellow roars out, a challenge to the forces of the Wyrm, face me if you dare. The wave of power of sheer intimidation in that howl carries the true power of Gaias chosen warriors. The sounds of squealing and shreiks of high pitched panic and terror as the sound of thundering hooves race towards them, intent on fleeing, panicked, unseeing anything but to be away from this avenging force of Gaia, Five Skullpigs come charging through the area, looking to escape. Huge, warty, massive cruel tusks, salivating disgustingly as they flee, muscled bodies, pretty far from the kind of thing bacon jokes are made of, these things are murderous, if terrified.

Timber Wolf, Steinar, appears ready. Again, he lets out a huffed sound in reply to The Wall. Orders are understood. He moves into position, and as he does, he too melts into his Warform..

The Wall moves ahead. But not far. Coming to greet them. >>No one leaves the Canyon<< he calls out, stepping forward, bracing, letting the fuckers flee for a moment and spread out before he howls out a battle cry and races toward the biggest one there.

The skullpigs start to file out, bailing toward the exit and toward the group at a full run. Spotting the group, however, while they are still fleeing, now they're planning on murdering their way out.

The Wall is big, but not big enough to stop 5 skullpigs at once. He snags the biggest, letting the CLOSEST one get past him. He wants to take out Big Boy. He intercepts and slashes at the thing, digging his claws into the pig's chest

The berserker brandishes his sword and takes a quick move forward and slashes the blade across one of the Skullpigs, sending a mist of red into the air. The beast counter attacks which he absorbs easily upon his shield with a low grunt.

Rune-Tongue, whom is Steinar, watches one of the Skull Pigs charge him. He lets out a sudden and mighty howl as he squares himself and, instead of letting the pig just charge him, he meets the thing head on! Opening up his body for the strike, arms wide. He takes the large Bane infested boar straight to the chest, and taking it without any issues. Both massive hands then come up above the creature, closing around the hilt of the Fang Dagger, Windfang. A loud roar is heard from the Godi as he drives the Fetish weapon down into the spine of the Skull Pig. A loud, squishy TEAR is heard as the Fetish rips most of the creatures spine out, pulling it with as the Godi pulls the dagger out.

Ande moves in crinos form to sink her claws viciously into the back of the skull pig attacking Dale, drawing victorious blood --- the vile agent of the Wyrm grunts and hits the ground, it's filthy entrails hit the ground with a satisfying slap.

Knockout Queen works in tandem with Spiritfire, biting first as she then finishes it. And when Ande takes it down completing the kill, he successfull snuffs his nose at her as a team-play with pride. Hell yeah. Now the mission goal must be completed. Time to run and get those kin!

Spiritfire snuffs back, feeling the kill like a thrilling jolt over her huge form. She crashes after the Queen, to assist.

A bite, not from the top, but from the side, taking the monstrous thing by the neck and swinging around, using the skull pig dangling from his mouth like a piece of meat stuck in his teeth, he uses that thing more or less like a shield and bats the second one aside a little bit. The Wall tears the dead pig from his mouth, punctures through the back of the other one and SLAMS the two together, dropping them both in a pile and spitting out the foulness in his mouth

The two doing recon are ALMOSt there, just coming upon the edge of the house. It'll take them a round to get in

Theron grunts with effort, this is far too much effort, at least more than it used to be. Awww Hildisvini... Still, Theron is able to atrike hard enough to truly finush off the target with a loud battlecry.

Rune-Tongue, Steinar the Godi, barely had time to more or less totally excavate the entire backside of his first Skull Pig with his Fang Dagger until he feels one more Skull Pig smash into his side. It bounces off, though, not even scratching him. Snarling loudly, he spins around and, as so doing, flips the Fang Dagger around in his hand to then ram it into the side of the Skull Pig that attacked him. It sinks in deep, then there is another tearing of flesh as the dagger bites deep, pulling out most of the side of the creature as he pulls the dagger back out.

As the last pig falls, the distance the two others ran in beckons. Heading to the kinfolk. First is the three dead Skullpigs, sliced and perforated. Coming on the house, there are two three quarter ton pickup trucks, expensive, powerful vehicles, smashed to modern art and thrown around like a used cat toy, gutted and torn. There are six people, armed with firearms, looking out of the opened door.

Shaderunner is watching the approaching Get, waving them down He points to the pair of frontrunners, <<Leave those three carcasses, those Tusks are Mine!>> He snarls out, nodding. <<You..>> He cranes his long silvered Strider neck, looking back, waving to the others as they approach. <<No losses! All safe. Two dead trucks>> A snarling laugh, screw those trucks.

Knockout Queen comes in to the area where they are waved down quick and fast. Then Dale slows to look around the area with all his senses. The Elder's snarled laugh gets the Rotagar to chuff <<Looks like a tornado whooped through here.>> He isn't about to touch any gross tusks if the Elder is wanting a souvenir. <<All Kin accounted for?>> The wolf's ears prick up when Shaderunner mentions all safe. <<Excellent!>>

The Wall closes after the other two and skids to a stop. When the all safe is called, Leif reverts to homid, turns his head and with absolutely no grace at all, just.. horks everywhere. What might possibly be a gallon of vomit and bile is deposited about 20 feet from the others. Oh look! Snow peas and Skull Pig viscera. Yum! BUT he managed to push his hair back from his face. All those glorious locks just swooshed out of the way. "Every fucking time, man," he mutters, then calls out with a loud bellow, "EVERYONE REPORT!"

Rune-Tongue is still up with Theron by the mass of dead skull pigs that were slaughtered. He looks over to see if the Kinfolk is still standing before he reaches down to lift up the animal that last fell to Windfang. He grabs it and lifts it up, looks at it, to then just dump it down on to the ground. He lifts his head up to then let out a howl in reply to Leifs call-out. A howl of 'All Clear', from the Godi.

Spiritfire clambers into view and slows. She eyes the sad trucks for a moment, but remains stoic as she shifts into homid form. "Knockout Queen and I took out one, and dispatched to rescue the kinfolk." Her gaze moves to Dale, regarding the other warmly. She looks to the others, noting the lack of significant injuries and all accounted for, before looking back to the Wall. "I assume victory is ours."

Shaderunner nods, looking around at the Get, and lifts his voice in a proper howl acknowledging the defeat of the Wyrm before turning to the Kin, shifting down, "Okay, button up this place, the crews will be in shortly, but we're evacuating you to the Kin House." He looks to the Wall, "Hey, Kin House, you can head to Stonecreek from there, good?"

Leif nods. "Eyes for the new totem if we can have just a second." He glances over his shoulder and calls out to Steinar. "Hey! Eyes." And then once that's done, he claps Dale and Ande each on the shoulder. GOD his hands are big. "Welcome to Prospect."

Knockout Queen lifts a paw to high five Spiritfire in her homid form. <<That's the way. This is what we do!>> Yeah, he looks to Leif with some sympathy for puking so hard. << I got a tic tac in my car you can have later. Yeah, might want that.>> He moves to help as needed if the kin are to be evacuated.

Rune-Tongue is already moving, though, remaining for now in Warform. He has started to drag all the skull pig corpses (that they killed, he is not touching Journeys victims) into pile. The blood from the creatures is still splattered all over his fur; he just does not seem to care about that. He lifts his head up, << I will need two more for the Rite of Cleansing.>> he calls out.

Journey thumbs up as he has his fire opal blade, clearly a Fetish and nods to the Kin who start squaring things away and he heads to the Skull Pigs he killed, "Oh yeah time to harvest, these make great Fang Daggers. I'm in for the Cleansing, just a second."

The Kinfolk are having a discussion, putting firearms away. This house is a fucking bunker. Seems they were fleeing the Skullpigs in the trucks, came here, a known safehouse, got in, and sent a cry for help. Before the Garou arrived they found a pair of quad runners, four wheeled means of suicide via Skullpig. It was overulled, but tempted a few of them. They are sealing the house back up at the moment.

Leif motions to Dale and Spiritfire. "Go to Steinar. Cleansing." He looks like he needs SEVERAL tic tacs, by the look on his face. He BIT it. Like.. there's Skull pig stuck in his teeth. It looks bad enough. Imagine how it TASTES. But he isn't going to throw up again. Nope. DO NOT DO IT Ande stands forward to assist with the rite, as well.

Knockout Queen approaches Rune-Tongue, << I will help you, but I do not know this rite.>> He wuffs to Leif an affirmative, as the new garou arrivals are on the cleansing assistance duty.

Rune-Tongue remains in the Warform for the duration of dragging all the smelly, bloodied up pieces of Skull Pig into the pile. Only once that is done, only once that has happened, does he finally reach behind him. As he does so, a backpack made out of buckskin appears on his back. He removes it slowly, setting it down. Opening it, he removes from it two long willow branches (which should not have fit in there), a lighter and a waterskin made out buckskin. He begins by drawing a circle around the corpses, to then once done motion to certain points around the circle, <<You here. You there. And you there.>> The Ritual then starts. He begins to chant oddly in Garou tongue, saying no words, but making sounds. As he does, he pours some of the water over the one branch and then setting fire to the other. Just the top of it. Letting it smolder. With everyone in position, he says, <<Once I howl, you all howl. Loudly. With all your MIGHT! We drive the Wyrm off this day.>> he growls. He then begins to walk counterclockwise around the circle, waving the smoldering twig around. As he does, he also flicks the other twig into the circle, causing some of the water to land on the corpses. This goes on for ten minutes. Ten long minutes of chanting, twig waving and counterclockwise walking for Steinar. And at the end of the ten minutes, the Godi finally stops. He leans his head back and says, <<Now.. HOWL!>> to which he lets out a really loud, really angry Howl. Be Gone, Ye Ol' Wyrm!

Journey follows the Ritemaster, focusing, though with the conclusion of the battle, he's quieter, his five tusks and fragments of the sixth with him, moving in the Rite, letting himself get caught up in it by muscle memory, and giving the final howl with the required force.

Knockout Queen lifts his wolf maw and voice to howwwwllll fiercely in unison with the other garou.

Leif helps too! He follows around the circle, also in crinos, and when it's all done, he lets out a gigantic howl, but is careful to not overshadow Rune-tongue's howl He is the ritemaster, afterall. Once it's all done, he's ready to go, letting Steinar collect eyeballs and helping Journey collect tusks to be dealt with later. From his pants, he pulls out a whole skein of heavy-duty twine to tie the tusks all together to be carried home and cleaned further.

Ande, aka Spitfire, howls viciously, even in homid form, in unison with her new pack.

Steinar then finally returns to being, well, Steinar. Human. Not warwolf anymore. He looks to the corpses, "The corpses will be dealt with by nature." he pulls out a real knife from the backpack, "But these are for Wild Raven." he says, to which he proceeds wtih removing the eyes from the skull pigs. He moves then to put them away in various places, so the Ravens can get to them. Once done, he collects all his things and shoulders his backpack again, "I am ready to move."

Journey grins as he takes th twine and ties up the tusks, slinging the tusks over one shoulder, he nods as ht eKin seal the house and looks back, "Me, the Kin then the Get." He says, as he nods, looking to the Kin, "Real simple, run, and don't stop running." He says, opening a bridge, and heading through. Same hallway, and emerging elsewhere....
