• Santería: Freeman is a practicing Santero. One can always track him down if they need help petitioning an orisha for something or other.
• Company Man: Back in the 20th Century, Freeman was one of the first black men to serve in the CIA. Not that he'd tell you that, and not that the CIA would, either.
• Cuba: Though he's since taken up residence on the West Coast, the first few decades of Freeman's unlife took place in Cuba.
