== Shady Grove - Smoke Jumpers - The Bar ==


The bar is loud in the early evening. The mid-shift just got off work at the docks and it seems like all of them immediately went to Smoke Jumpers for greasy hamburgers, beer, and bourbon shooters. The noise level is fairly oppressive and, despite California anti-smoking laws, everyone there is lighting up. The smoky haze grows thicker with every hour that passes.

Rolling Thunder can be heard from the outside, after a few moments, Carl and 5 other bikers enter the bar. Carl pulls out a cigar, a dirty old short cigar and lights it. In there usual gang attire, they look around the bar for a slight moment before making there way towards the bartender, each man exept car orders beers. Menwhile Carl looks around for a specific individual

Markus is in his booth with the curtain draw back just enough for him to keep an eye on the rest of the bar. Most of his focus seems to be on the iPad in front of him, but the entrance of the bikers does not go unnoticed by him. Nor is it unnoticed by the longshoremen. The latter group bristles at the unwanted outsiders and the bartender is slow to get their order. With a finger, Markus motions for Carl to join him at his booth.

Carl notices both Markus and the Longshoremen, as he walks towards Markus, his eyes on a group as he shouts out. "The fuck you looking at cunt?" Such hostility within Carl at anyone looking at him must be not healthy, his eyes not wavering as he waits for an answer. Once he gets to the Booth, Carl sits down then but keeps his eyes on the Longshoremen for a few more seconds before he looks back at Markus. "guy with a pretty face sent me here.. im here to do my part"

The black hand agent looks pained at Carl's brash entrance, but simply closes the curtain behind him for the moment. The only opening in the barrier is a small slit for Markus to keep an eye on the door, otherwise, the booth is kept private from the bar. "Next time, leave the ghouls behind," the vampire tells Carl in his deep arab accent. "Now, introduce yourself and tell me what you can do for the cause here in Shady Grove."

"Im Carl Fucken Carlson, Brujah.." He smiles a big smile as he smokes his cigar as he leans back, his eyes scan markus for a slight moment. "I can fight, I can get fucken Mass criminals on the street, and I can insite riots." He rubs his face slowly as he smiles bigger at the last words he states. "What have you got for carl Fucken Carlson?" He then puts out his cigar and gets out a glass pipe and meth.. doing this infront of a Black hand member

The meth pipe does not even cause a bushy black eyebrow to be raised. Instead, Markus turns to his iPad and starts slowly tapping and sliding his finger across the screen. After a minute or two he stops, and looks up. "Tensions between the Brujah and Giovanni are high in this city," he tells Carl, "The Giovanni primogen, a disgusting Kindred by the name of Larissa, has a favorite ghoul. They have a most unnatural relationship, and it would inflame relations between the two clans were this ghoul to perish and the Brujah to be fingered."

Nodding as Markus speaks, he lights up the glass pipe and takes a massive hit, after a few seconds he puts down the pipe and gives a final nod. "Tell me where and When big chief.." Carl keeps his eyes on markus. "how do i make it look like the brujah did it?'

There are a few more taps on the tablet and then Markus spins it around and pushes it across the table to Carl. On it is a surveillence photo of a man at the end of his middle age. Of course, as a ghoul, he may have already live far longer then his natural lifetime. "Normally, our target stays in Giovanni strongholds in the city where he serves at the pleasure of his Domitor. However, we have learned that tonight he will be moving to her chalet in the mountains to prepare it for her arrival. You will ambush his car at a point of your choosing along his route. Leave this behind when you are done." From a pocket comes a very small earring bearing a brujah sigil. "It is small enough that it could very easily be lost in a physical fight, so you will have to kill him with your fists or a blade."

Picking up the earring, he looks at the symbol then pockets it. Carl studies the Ipad for a slight moment before standing. "Alright.." Carl starts to whistle a famous door song as he starts to walk across teh bar. "Lets fucken go.." His men quickly finishes thier beers then head towards teh door, carl looks at the Longshoremen. "Fuck off back to your fucken Taxes and your fucken bullshit lives cunts.."


== Shady Grove - Liberty Rd & Manchester St - Outskirts of Town ==


The intersection of Liberty Rd and Manchester St is a desolate one. The four-way stoplight dominates over a Korean corner market on one side, and a barred up liquor store on the other. Surrounding these two pinnacles are commerce are run-down row houses, some of them boarded up in a great example of urban blight. A few people mill around, sitting on the stoops of their homes or standing in front of the liquor store drinking 40s out of brown paper bags. As unlikely as it seems, within the next few minutes a black sedan containing a top ranking ghoul will be speeding into their lives, then rolling right back out of them.

Carl and his gang, are sitting on there bikes at the intersection, they are acting the part as they play around with each other, pushing shoving and yelling at each other and anyone that would listen. Carl seems to be more than happy as he plays around with his ghouls, he looks into his Harley bags and gets his shotgun ready, he looks over towards his men. "Get the weapons ready.." They all check in their bags. "No fucken weapons on the cunt though, use them to stop the fucken car." He switches the ignition, as does his gang and wait for the car.

The biker gang obviously does not fit in here, and the locals regard them with suspicion and dirty looks. However, that does not matter for long as a black sedan with heavily tinted windows comes cruising up to a red light. It is stopped briefly, then continues on it's way, carefully doing the speed limit in this residential district.

Carl and his gang hit it and start to follow the car, but very soon, Carl whips out the shotgun, and attempts to shoot the car wheels as he drives, his motorbike has been altered to minus the effect of stunt driving as he seems more than confident that he can shoot out the tires, his men hang back a bit. "Come on you fucken dumb cunt bitch bastard.." carl takes Aim as he cuises slowly. "Die motha fucka" He shouts as he pulls the trigger.

The car begins to pickup speed as the driver takes note of the bikers behind him. When the shotguns come out, that's when they slam on the gas and quickly speed past 60 miles an hour down the small road. The shotgun blast is well placed, but most of the pellets impact the rear fender. A few pellets hit the tire and cause it to rapidly deflate, and the car begins to weave around the road. However, moments after that, the tire re-inflates itself and the car begins to cruise even faster. Damnable technology.

"Are you shitting me God.. Are you fucken For real.." Growling, Carl picks up speed aswell as he places his shotgun in the bag once more. He attempts to place himself towards the shot up wheel once again. he Pulls out the shotgun once again and takes aim. "Carl FUCKEN carlson Here God" He starts to pray outloud. "Can you make just one thing in my fucken life easy god, just this fucken once" He pulls the trigger again

This time the shot is straight and true, the pellets from the shotgun shred the tire beyond the systems ability to restore it. The car once again swerves wildly, slamming into one of Carl's crew and throwing the ghoul from his bike. The car comes under some semblence of control as it runs up on the sidewalk and stops. A small crowd of people flee the immediate area, but a few brave souls peer out of windows and alleys, catching the news before it comes on at eleven.

The Driver hits Carl, and causes minimal damage, carl looks down at where he is hit and starts to rant and rave. "I havent washed these fucken clothes in a decade, and you come along.." His fangs already out, in what is super human speed, he wraps his arms around the man and starts to chomp the guy with his fangs, again and again, untill a good chuck of his neck is gone. The guys dead, adios and blood is alover carl, all over his Face, Clothes, hair. He growls like a beast as his then starts to rip open the door, all this in the space of just a second or two. "Come out and im goingto turn you.. dumb fuuuuck!"

The gun wavers slightly in the ghouls hand as sweat pours down his face. He looks at the bloody smears covering the drivers side of the car, at the ripped off door, and the Brujah showing him hands. "Yeah well, you're bleeding, so don't make me shoot you," he whispers, obviously terrified. The gun starts to shake harder as he tries to think of a way out of the situation. "How about... how about this... You let me go, and we talk later? Ok? How about that?"

"Iv been in your situation before... i was a ghoul for 200 years man... i was turned just a few weeks ago.." He tries to put on his best face on. "You know why i was changed... i showed i wanted it.." He places his hand as if to say to the man to lower his gun. "I know you want it.. the power is unimaginable..." He then tilts his head. "Plus, your a peace offering between the clans, like ancient times, two clans marring each other.. fuck shes going to like your decision bro!"

"I.. I don't know," Derrick, the ghoul, says. However, the gun does get lowered a few inches and he ceases to cower in the corner of the sedan. Instead he straightens himself up, and adjusts his suit slightly. "What do I get for being a brujah? I know shit man, lots of shit about the Giovanni. More then anyone should know.."

"Bro.. your in a great position.. you know the clan givioni right.. with the brujah skills.." He laughs as he takes out a cigar. "Fuck.. look what i just did... you can do all this, your partner, would be always safe, we dont want to mentor you bro.. we want peace, you will live with your partner as equals and you will protect her!" He nods a few times as he lights his cigar. "Dude everyone wins"

Derrick seems to contemplate this for a few seconds. "No... no that will never work," he says as the gun comes back up. The ghoul's free hand reaches for the door handle and he pulls it open. "Thanks, but no thanks," he says as he slides out the door. The man proceeds to walk backwards away from the car, keeping his eye on Carl and the gang of bikers.

Carl starts to run towards the Ghoul, its a clumsy run and then he leaps. Derrik shoots the gun at carl, which catches him but it does again little dammage, they are both on the floor now, with super human speed once again, Carl takes his fangs and starts to drain Derrik from his forearm. Grunting loudly as he enjoys this, but Derrik doesnt as carls flaw (infectious bite) is agony for him

When Carl hits him Derrick goes down like a sack of potatoes. He hits the concrete with an *UNF* and just barely manages to hold onto the pistol. The ghoul manages to get off a shot, but it isn't enough to stop what is coming next. Then... then the biting starts. Derrick howls in agony from his broken ribs as well as the infectious bite, as agony courses through his veins. The howling does eventually stop, however, when he loses consciousness.

Carl keeps drinking and Drinking untill the last drop of the ghoul is out, making sure the ghoul is long dead, he reaches into his pocket and takes out the brujah earring and places it next to the ghouls body. "Im Carl Fucken Carlson, you dumb ignorant cunt, when i offer you my fucken blood, you take it.."He kicks the body a few times before turning to his motor cycle. "Lets get the fuck out of here!" His men start to run towards thier wheels and soon after they start to rideoff once again


== Shady Grove - Smoke Jumpers - The Bar ==

When the bikers get back to the bar most of the crowd has left. Only a few dedicated drinkers remain behind, wobbling on their stools as they are well pickled at this point. The bartender is quietly cleaning up and preparing to go home. Markus, however, is still where he was before. The iPad is now gone and replacing it is a weighty tome bound in leather. It is open in the middle and the man appears to be reading with one eye while the other keeps a watchful lookout.

After the long ride back, and a change of clothes, Carl enters the bar with his friends. "Your going to serve my friends fucken beer and fast, or else im going to RIP YOUR THROAT OUT!" His last words are yelled and have a very seriosu tone as he then walks towards markus and sits down. "Itd done big chief, ghoul dead, left the earring at the scene.. everyone wins"

The bartender glances up, but doesn't make a move to pour any drinks. Instead he points at the clock and then goes about his business. Markus looks up from his book, closing it with gloved hands. "Good, that is what I wanted to hear," he says to Carl and cocks his head. "I do not suppose you read much, do you?"

Shaking his head with a smile. "I was born in the wild west chief, I didnt go to no fancy fucken school where they taught me how to read and write or count.." Carl takes out a meth Pipe and packs some meth in there. "Why?" He asks right before he takes a hit of Meth.

"I find reading to sharpen the mind and galvanize me in my purpose," Markus explains, tapping the book with the palm of his hand. The vampire eyes the meth pipe again but does not say anything. "Moving on, you may return to Prospect now. We have accomplished all we need to this evening."

Subject: Operations Update Re: Shady Grove

Fellow Cainites,

I am most pleased with the operatives you have sent me. First, we were able to cache several tons of weapons and equipment throughout the city. However, the truck used to bring it in was heavily damaged and had to be destroyed. Also, we were missing a half-dozen grenades and an RPG from the shipment. These were likely used in defense of the shipment as a whole and should be considered overhead.

Second, tensions between the Giovanni and Brujah are reaching an all time high in Shady Grove. The death of the Primogen's ghoul and subsequent framing of the Brujah went off flawlessly. Although they have no resorted to open accusations, I feel that with perhaps with the application of a bit more pressure they will begin striking one another. First from the shadows, then openly if things progress as we have planned.

Finally, if things continue on schedule we should be ready to openly vie for the city after the ritae of Palla Grande is behind us. I will keep you informed as the situation dictates.
