| This is the first rank within the chantry. You're basically a probationary member that's allowed into the house and permitted access to some of the resources.

|'''Member: '''

| Node Access, Vote, Restricted Library, Wonders, etc.

| You have full access to the chantry's resources, are permitted to draw from the node, etc. You're also expected to occupy some position of authority within the chantry to help shoulder the burdens of its organization. Whether you're in charge of getting new members settled, teaching, chantry defense, etc. is on an individual basis.

| '''Counselor: '''

| All

| This is the highest rank. There are only three of these at any one time. Each one represents a particular Essence of magic (Primordial, Pattern, Dynamic with Questing filling in for any one of them). They, as a council of three, make the major decisions for the group as a whole and are ultimately charged with the maintenance, defense and future of the chantry.

=Proposed Duties=

This is still under development and will probably be changed a few times as things get updated. No one has any official duties yet.

*<b>Farseeker: </b> "Scrounger." Called the Hand of the Chantry, the Farseeker is the one responsible for overseeing acquisition of the resources the cabal needs. This may range from something as simple as being the one who goes for take-out to organizing the expedition to gather tass and unique magical materials.

**<b>Herald: </b> "Talker." The Herald is the public face of the Chantry, responsible for representing the group at all social and public occasions within the magical community, they are taxed with maintaining correspondence with other cabals / Chantries.

*<b>Warden: </b>"Bouncer." Called the Fist of the Chantry, the Doorwarden is responsible for the safety of the chantry and the protection of the Sanctum. It is he who oversees the testing and reinforcement of its defenses, and who stands at the first line of defense.

**<b>Sentinel: </b>"Muscle." These are appointed by the Warden to serve as their assistants, backup, extra hands, etc. They serve as the deputies to the Warden.

*<b>Hearthmaster: </b> "Guide." Called the Heart of the Chantry, the Hearthmaster acts as the nurturer of the chantry and its Sanctum. The Hearthmaster often acts as healer, confidant and caretaker of the Sanctum, but their most common role is that of mediator.

*<b>Lorekeeper: </b> "Scribe." Called the Head of the Chantry, the Lorekeeper is the historian and archivist for the chantry, keeping its Protocols and library well in order.

*<b>Edgetender: </b> "Hexer." Called the Eye of the Chantry, the Edgetender cultivates the magical resources of the chantry, caring for the mystical aspects of the Sanctum as the Hearthmaster cares for its mundane. The Edgetender also maintains the node of the Chantry.

**<b>Watcher: </b> "?." Sometimes viewed as an assistant to the Edgetender, they are responsible for maintaining a watchful presence within the Umbra around the Chantry. They ensure that spiritual threats are known of in advance and are responsible for maintaining any relations with the spiritual entities that might serve the chantry.

=Proposed Officers=

Due to low population, we're combining the duties of <b>Lorekeeper</b> and <b>Edgetender</b> into one position called  <b>Loretender</b>
