I got banned for saying that stealing is against the law and that what WC did was actually a felony. Oh, wait, no I didn't say that. I tried to keep CoH from being what since they called me insane, delusional, and not able to make any sense (trust me, not so much the exact opposite since that is when I noticed WC actually made it conspiracy to traffic in IP theft, which is the exact fuck you we are cheating clause I as an IT director for a software company who thereby had a bit of a reason to be very familiar, means if I report it, even if I know that the US government is not going to prosecute, I also know that for such cases they always, have to investigate it just like they have to investigate a reported murder.

They will then scare the everloving out of WC, but quickly let them know they're shitheads and go. Possibly bust me for some minor fuck you for being totally honest but probably knowing I'm wasting their time.

If I were an American, that is. Or lived there. Or in any way were committing any crime.

And rather than the feds, I wrote the legal department at White Wolf. Maybe they'll be more convincing. I just asked they explain because we're all gamers and there aren't many of us.

To the people who might care,

I am just a lonely nobody who plays supernatural people on the internet with your games because that way I have the social contact I am not afforded in my life. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don’t think that finding stealing wrong makes me special. I think it makes me exactly the other thing.

I am not trying to get anyone sued or in legal trouble here. I am not the one to decide how much or little stealing your work is enough to be worth the trouble.

But I have just been rather thoroughly degraded, abused, and now I no longer have my internet pretend time because I tried to explain that before I was sick I was an IT director for a software company right when twelve year old girls were told to pay hundreds of millions of dollars for downloading three Tiffany albums. And the law had been adjusted to agree.

Of course this is the same as the subtle, ridiculous ways drug dealers can be sent to jail forever because of a few cents’ postage. It’s not fair, it’s the fuck you if we need it that was the reason iTunes is what it is. People got scared and they made it cheap.

The same law makes discussing piracy on a site, say, actually let them find the sight a trafficker and just shut it down.

There was some idiot talking about his PDFs that were scans and all not really quite… You know what I mean. I politely suggested that he not talk about his theft there because the site, an otherwise just us nerds little place, was technically, if really, not so much likely, in danger of being one less place people who never even think about computer games when they see RPG still do. 

Which resulted in my being the above by the players, staff, you name it. I was told I was not coherent, needed doctors to fix my crazy, and etc., and on.

I am not asking you to care about that at all. I am asking, would you please, contact the staff at the cityofhopemush.com site, particularly the owner who goes by Whooping Crane, and just tell them that it is stealing.

Also, that by that person publicly stating that they supported that, that actually speaking is, legally speaking, precisely also called conspiracy to distribute etc. Which is of course a rather bigger deal to the law, as you no doubt are specifically an expert in.

Again, I doubt the government would quite go berzerk, but it is what it is.

And I don’t think they want to be that. They’re just a little thick and for some reason enjoy having me not even get off on the racist end. Yes, it does hurt. But I can’t do anything about that.

I can maybe make them understand that this is just as illegal, but, say, Microsoft are greedy and fuck them for a penny. This is us and I know how little we earn for how hard we work. I mean I really know.

And I just don’t think they would be quite so comfortable knowing they were making maybe an actual difference.

WC, I wasn't willing to hope you'd actually try and censor a WIKI. All it does is show you're trying to hide something, while having the material still findable in more ways than one. And you're sure about that piracy bit?

I got a reply from WW legal. They'll be in touch with you to be the first people who could legally end this to be letting you know how very exactly I was not only right but all this time only trying to PROTECT you no matter what a fuckwit you are.

I asked, as you noted, they just make clear because I am sure somewhere in there you are not exactly what I am completely refusing to keep some faint hope that you might one day realize you don't have to be this way.

I am not going to completely hope that this might be eventually some kind of hint that you may in fact not be coherent. I hear there's medicine for this.
