The Perilous is a Level 5, Gnosis 8 variation of the ratkin 'Mystery Machine' fetish. Other than taking the form of a ship rather than that of a van, it functions in much the same manner:

  • It can run on pure Gnosis. Praying or meditating inside the interior of the ship will keep it running for a full day for each point spent.
  • The ship is also difficult to track; the captain can activate the fetish, invoking the Gift: Silent Running to obscure it up to three times a day.
  • The inside of the ship has been blessed so that those within can meditate safely. For anyone inside, lower the difficulty of all meditation or Rapture rolls by 1.
