The Elder Grove is a Seelie held freehold in the forest of Southern Prospect, at the edge of the County of Lion’s Reach. Overseen by Baroness Briar Silverflame, a butterfly Pooka, there is a distinct adherence to a more natural way of life; structures built on and around the trees rather than having them removed for buildings. The majority of the keep lies up in the heavy branches of the oldest tree in the Grove, a bit of a climb perhaps but the view is spectacular.
The Lady of the Grove is welcoming to all sorts, Kith and Kinain alike so long as they do no harm to the forest and creatures of the Dreaming that seek Sanctuary in the Elder Forest.
History
Unicorn's Rest was formally established in the spring of 2020, when two Commoner Kithain (Thoreau and Felicite) Oathed to and revived the Balefire after the previous Holder, the self-declared 'Baroness Silverflame', left the County of Lion's Reach. Its new name was chosen after a contingent of student Wilders from the Covey-Fychell College befriended a small, black, Unicorn that had chosen to make the forest around the Mew its newest stomping (and chomping, given the way it was devouring its way through the local flora) grounds.
