'''Work in Progress for Pack Formation:'''

Defining the Pack: The first step will be to determine what our Pack's purpose or role is going to be. This can be accomplished many ways, but generally it is best to try to combine passions/interests of each of the pack mates and try to find an overlapping cause or goal. So let's start with each of us putting out a couple of interests or goals for your character and I'll combine them and see if I can write up a common purpose for us. (Ex. "fighting Pentex", "guarding the Caern", "protecting the local kinfolk")

Pack Totem: Once we have a common purpose, we can start looking into Totems which have a similar or kindred purpose with what our pack was formed to complete. Obviously we want to pick a Totem which will allow us to achieve our Common Purpose as a pack, and not just one that is beneficial to one or two of us. (We will have to seek our Totem, do our howls, acts of chiminage, someone with spirit speech will communicate for us - we may be tasked to complete a quest or objective to prove ourselves somehow for example)

Pack Name: Next we should try to agree on a pack name, something that is reflective of both our Purpose and our Totem.

Pack Dynamics: Once we know who we are, then we challenge and test for dominance to determine which rolls will be held by which members of the Pack. Particularly an Alpha, and we make Omega, any new members who join our pack after we are established.

Presenting: Once an Alpha and all the roles have been established, the Alpha will present themselves and the pack to the Elders to be recognized as a pack within the Sept and we will become official at that point forward.

Brooke's Response:

My PCs goals to come here was to make friends, continue and expand her expertise in computers (both hardware and software - she is a white hat hacker as well), and in doing so, protect the sept, the Caern, the Kinfolk, and anyone in need.

Obviously, her interests are in computers and things computerized. She is always looking to learn something new, or gain more knowledge. She has a genius level IQ, and is not afraid to tell you that. She can be snarky at times, but that is getting better the more friends she makes.

Family details FYI: Not long after coming here, she found her long unknown father - PC named Montana - Kinfolk. She also has since found a mate - PC named Michael - Kinfolk. I know that Michael wants to get involved as well in the sphere.

As for the rest of the plans - I have zero experience with it, but am willing to learn and go for it! Thank you for the invitation and look forward to the fun!

Lana's Response:

Lana is the owner of a very successful financial company and will help the nation with loans and other such monetary needs.

She also has contacts within the board of education, her own company and the more well to dos of society since that company handles clients who typically have at least 6 figures in their bank account or more.

She has influence as Education 1, Finance 2, and High Society 2.

She also speaks a lot of languages should it ever be needed.

Lana also wishes to make friends. I am also up for getting a pack house built and put on grid if that is something that would interest you guys at all.

Ada's Response:

Ada's primary goals are to grow as a Theurge and a Garou, to become part of the Sept and water the seeds of confidence. She wants to feel like a Big Girl and have Big Girl Responsibilities, respect, etc. Totems are flexible, but she doesn't want to end up with something that's too ragey or suicidal. She is fine with going traditional ( or not ), but would probably shy away from some of the Cunning and War Totems. Still, she could come around on what few she's hesitant on, so her opinion isn't set in stone. Ada's abilities mostly revolve around creating things, jewelry, trinkets and charms. She can make a few basic weapons, and clothes, but it isn't her forte. She's not very strong or good in combat, but she's charismatic and her low Rage helps when dealing with humans. She's good with words, and generally even tempered. As an aside, I may think of some plot hooks for her later, but right now she's very much looking for a place to live. If anyone would invite her, lemme know!

Dragomir's Response:

  • Drago's kinfolk is his mate Lana. They live together in the South Gate Suburbs and would probably welcome any of the pack who needed somewhere to stay.
  • Drago is very honor driven, and wants to be a catalyst for heroics. His goals after forming the pack, will be to bring the fight to the Wyrm and to turn the Weaver against the Wyrm as an ally.
  • Drago is highly motivated (compulsion) to protect kinfolk at virtually any price. So likely he will want to setup/guard/protect any kinfolk sanctuaries and bring the fight to any who threaten their kinfolk.
  • Drago also believes in the important and honor of guarding and protecting the Caern at all times, so will push for that as well.

Mary-Sue's Response:

Mary-Sue is a cursed sword. Her high rage makes it hard for her to interact with Garou let alone humans. She's messed up enough to be a Joss Whedon protagonist.

Personal Goals: To die. Preferably gloriously.

What she's good at: Killin. Sorta interacting with Changelings.

Totems: She of course would prefer war totems. Totems that provide strength. But she's fine with Honor totems. Wisdom totems? Eh.

Pack Purpose: Guarding is okay. She'd prefer strike force/problem solving. She's a hammer, she prefers looking for nails or fingers.

PACK NAME: Terminal Velocity

PACK TOTEM: MERLIN

Background Cost: 4

Although Merlin is far from the largest or most dangerous of birds, Merlin appears in many different ways amongst Falcon's brood. To the Fianna he is a Totem of Wisdom (see Tribebook: Fianna, p. 83) but the Silver Fangs know him in his guise as a Totem of Respect and as the Totem of House Blood Red Crest. Merlin, because he is one of the smallest of hawks, also tends to be swift, fierce and cunning. He is a champion of the underdog, teaching that size is far from the most important factor and that courage and intelligence are just as important, if not more so. He cautions that his children should use cunning before pure aggression and strike swiftly and with wisdom.

Traits: Packs devoted to Merlin gain three dice for their Brawl dice pools and two dice for their Dodge dice pools when confronting enemies physically larger than themselves. He also grants them three extra Willpower points per story, bolstering their courage in the fight with the Wyrm.

Ban: Followers of Merlin must not kill birds of prey of any kind, and must also spare their spirits. They may ignore this ban for raptors that the Wyrm has corrupted if, and only if, there is no hope of capturing and purifying it.

At the end of the discussion, Dragomir will step forward and nod proudly, "We have determined our purpose, our name and which totem we will seek as a pack. Now we just lack an Alpha to lead us." He lifts his head and says, "I, Dragomir Nicholas Mihailovich, rited Eye of the Storm. Cliath born on two legs beneath the half moon, Silver Fang of Clan Crescent Moon. Son of Nicholas Mihailovich, son of Michael Mihailovich - rited Frozen Night, son of Nicholas Mikhailovich II, son of Michael Mikhailovich - rited Falcon's Beak, son of Nicholas Mikhailovich - rited The Frozen Death, son of Michael Nocolavich, son of Nicholas I, rited Zheleznaya Gora - declare myself as Alpha of this pack. I welcome you each to challenge me, so we may be strong together!"
