Card: Peter Bauer Tribute Show
Match: Rising Wind vs. The Lozios
Record: 2-0 (1-0 as Rising Wind)

[The scene opens with Hayden Phoenix sitting on a bar stool in the middle of an empty room. Plain white walls adorn the room, a simple chandelier hangs from the ceiling, and wooden floors. Phoenix looks a bit off compared to his previous promos. He doesn't look as friendly and smiling as before, maybe being more focused and ready for his match]

[Phoenix] - Rising Wind... remember that name. We are taking part in the Tag Team Tournament, and have earned a chance to blaze our own paths towards glory, and towards gold. Last week Ian and myself teamed up for the first time, and we beat an already established tag team. They were a confident team, and were on the same page. Both of them were coming off victories, no matter how unearned they were, they won matches. And one of those matches happened to be over one of our opponents this week... Miles Lozio. So if Wonderboy Wayne Williams, or whatever he calls himself, knocked off Miles, and we beat Wayne... well, we all know what that means. It seems like Miles is on a losing streak.... three in a row, right? First The Treborns, than Williams, and last week against Silas Romero. Hard to get things going, eh Miles? It seems like this week that Ian and myself are coming off of a cohesive match together in which we were on...the...same...page. We had each others back, had the same goal in mind, and knew what we had to do to accomplish what we did... a victory. Ian got his first win here in LEGACY, so his confidence grows. I, myself, continue in LEGACY being 2 and 0. And at the Tribute Show, we plan on continuing our winning ways. It will take a winning streak to achieve that gold, but that is something that Ian and myself are more than prepared to do.

[Phoenix tilts his head to the side a bit and cracks his neck a bit. It appears as though their as bandages on his arms, but there is no apparent injury. Phoenix raises one eyebrow and continues to speak and he rocks back and forth oddly on the bar stool]

[Phoenix] - I have respect for those in LEGACY that deserve it, and I respect the Lozios. Don't get me wrong, my respect for them is not a weakness. Miles and Dante have done nothing but lose here in LEGACY, and whatever they are up to with the Treborns is none of my business. That said, it is unfortunate that Ian and myself have to continue our winning ways here in LEGACY and continue to Round 2. I am not going to predict who our opponents will be because not only is that not like me to do, but it means no nevermind in the end. I came here to make a name for myself, and my name is being learned. I came here looking to achieve gold, and we are setup to be able to do so. I was never one to have a partner, but with Ian, it's like an extension of myself. If I get knocked down, he knocks down the opponent. If I take out one opponent, he takes the other out. We are working together with one mind, and that is not like having to rely on someone... we act together. Unfortuantely the Lozios are NOT on the same page... and anyone on the outside looking in can see that. They are broken; they are cracked; they are not cohesive. Ian and myself will take advantage of that crack. And whether they admit it, they know it is there and it is affecting their confidence. Like a little bit of water getting into the crack, it will rust the whole thing over time.

[Phoenix smirks a bit, lowers his head forward to where the viewers can see the top of his head and barely the whites of his eyes]

[Phoenix] - LO-ZI-OH... LO-ZI-OH... LO-ZI-OH... what's in a name? Legacy, heh, that's funny. A family tree with talent. An established team because of blood? They say that blood is thicker than water, but is it thicker than money? Ask yourself that Miles. What is your brother up to? Would he turn on you? NO! We wouldn't do that, would he? I would never believe it. California is YOUR home. You have to fight in your cousins company. You have a chip on your shoulder. You are the prototypical underdog. The fans will be cheering for you, won't they? Miles... Miles... Miles... three losses in a row? That is no good. No good for anyone. What would your father think? What do your cousins think? What does Dante think? Why would Dante want to team with someone that has lost two matches on his own? NO! Dante is your brother. You two are blood. He would never leave you. He would never walk away. He wants to team with you. Why wouldn't he? Miles... Miles... Miles.... choices.... decisions.... thoughts..... Dante.... family..... blood... Treborns.... it's all a whirlwind. A whirlwind. A whirlwind of let downs, opportunities, betrayals, trust, truth, honest, respect, loyalty, legacy. Who am I to say anything? You two are brothers, brothers are forever.

[Phoenix stands up, cracks his neck back, and looks back up to the camera]

[Phoenix] - Some athletes like to play off of the audience, the roar of the crowed, the cheers of their peers. Some have a natural ability to overcome when they are down and out. And others are simply dominant. I find myself in the last of the three. Pure dominance. I won a strong match against Ian, and we together overcame an established team in Williams and Edwards. Rising Wind is what we are being called, I guess... and it doesn't matter. "Rising" Hayden Phoenix and Ian Windermear... we are a strong team, and will continue to co-exist for a long time. This is just Round 1, so make sure to be on the lookout for us, for we are on the horizon of the Tag Team Championship.
