Sitting quietly and contently upon a small blanket laid out on the sand, Tavia watches the waves and a couple brave night-time surfers, her brown eyes watching, captured by the beauty of man verses nature.

Elle is jogging at quite a clip, sports bra doing its best to keep her under control as she runs with long strides. Her wavy chocolate brown hair was pulled into a puffy ponytail, trainers snapping against the sand as she blows by Tavia with hazel eyes set on the distance. She definitely had some stamina to her.

The beach wasn't nearly as crowded as it was during the day, and it was a secluded beach to begin with. As a lone jogger runs past, Tavia's eyes are keen to study her. Unusual to be running on the beach at this hour, it wasn't entirely unfeasible. Tavia let her gaze linger on the backside of Elle as she continued on her run. She was setting quite the pace, a difficult thing to do in loose beach sand. Tavia found herself feeling somewhat impressed.

Elle moves on down the beach. A few minutes later she jogs back down again, giving Tavia a once over as she goes by. Still same pace, still not slowing down or out of breath.

Curiosity usually got the better of Tavia, her eyes following Elle as she came back and past by once again. Should their eyes have met, Tavia would not have faltered in her watching. A slight furrow of her brow was evident though. A decent enough ability to recognize athleticism had her a bit skeptical of this woman. As the woman went past and down the beach in the opposite direction, Tavia picked herself up off the blanket and meandered down closer to the water, prying her eyes away and looking back to the ocean once more. She stood in the moon light, the light warm breeze blowing in from off the water billowed her dress.

And sure as clockwork, a few minutes later Elle jogged back her way, slowing down as she watches Tavia gazing off to sea. As she stops, she turns to watch whatever it was she was looking at on the horizon. Putting her hands on her hips, she takes a few steps back and says quietly, "...quite the view..."

A small smile touches Tavia's lips. She doesn't turn to face the woman as she responds, her voice carrying clearly on the breeze. "It really is. There's something about the vastness of the ocean... it's duel nature. Calm yet terrifying. Dark but so reflective." She folds her arms across herself, seeking some extra warmth.

Elle nods at this, she herself not seeming cold, nor does she seem out of breath from the running. She is breathing but no steam, "Uh yep.. it's very.. cool?" She again nods, clearing her throat, "... soooo, umm.. I'm Elle. Haven't seen you out here before. You from around here?" Her posture changes and she closes the distance between them, hazel eyes on hers.

Tavia turns to face Elle, curious eyes gauging her with skepticism born of a general mistrust. "Hello Elle." She responds, then holds out a hand, because hey that's polite, right? "I'm Tavia. New in town."

Elle smiles and takes her hand, shaking it firmly, "Yeah? I'm no fresh fish, but I'm from Washington originally." She pulls her hair behind her ear, and a hint of a California accent can he heard despite her previous comment to the contrary. "University? I went to UC Prospect, for business admin.. which was toootal bullshit, but you know.. gotta major in something."

The woman's friendly and candid attitude helped to relax Tavia's skepticism. She smiled and nodded, "Yes. I am majoring in Cultural Studies." She pulls her hair back out of her face, tucking it behind her ears. "So far, I don't think it's bullshit." She returns to attempting to keep herself warm.

Elle shrugs, "Meh what the hell you gonna do? I ended up droppin' out, pullin' coffee shots for a while, then got a job at a bar making drinks for assholes in a fetish club. Finally saved enough for my own place! I own a little auto shop, Pat's Radiator repair. Pat's my middle name." She smiles, then frowns, checking her phone. "CRap I gotta go, but hey.. here's my card. If you're in town going out, gimme a call?",,
