It's GLASSWALKER meeting time and Jake rustled up as many as he could get on short notice and ushered them to Billy's underground lab. The Ahroun is in a good mood and upbeat tonight too, which is pretty standard for him. He leads Furio and Brooke down the stairs and glances around for Billy. "He's around here somewhere. Probably working on a new bot. He'll be showing up soon." He turns to face the others. "Anyway, I would really like it if you could try to get as many Glass Walkers together for a meeting maybe once a week or so. Throw ideas back and forth. Brainstorm. Billy has some -great- ideas too."

Brooke heard the call and got over here to help. "Yeah, Billy and I met earlier this week about some ideas. We can really do some great things if we come together."

Fury comes lumbering down with Jake, nodding his head. "Sure thing, paisan. That's easily done. Glad to see ya rootin' for the city wolves' side," he says. Brooke gets a nod. "Hey, Brook, how you doin'?"

Jake nods to Furio. "Hey, I'm always rooting for the Glass Walkers. I mean, you guys are so damn smart and such an important part of our security. I just want to see you all working in closer proximity with each other."

Brooke nods in agreement with Jake. First to Furio, "I am as well as can be expected currently." She then says to them both, "That is the key - working with each other. If we put all our intelligence together, we could do bigger things for us all." She looks to Furio for his opinion.

Fury nods his head. "You bet," he says. "Workin' on our own can only do so much. Workin' together, we unlock a lotta doors." He taps his temple. "We's many parts of one Nation. Separation is an elaborate optical illusion. That's somethin' I've understood for years. We got so many things we can offer, an' when we put 'em together. Well. Watch out, Wyrm."

Billy arrives late, but it's probably understandable as, instead of coming down the stairs, he squeezes himself up and out of a small utility hatch in a corner, which is no easy feat, he's a beefy young man! Covered in dust and a few cob webs, and dragging a multi tool with him, he was probably down there tuning something up. "Oh! Hello, sirs!" he greets to everyone when he sees people in there while he's extracting himself.

Jake chuckles as he listens to Brooke and Fury. "Exactly. I love that kind of thinking. All for one and one for all. Oh yeah. And, really, what I'd really enjoy seeing is a tech or mage kind of pack. Not a /pack/ pack but a...well, a THINK tank sort of group. A--" but then there's Billy and Jake steps over to give the guy a bro-hug. "Billy! We just arrived. Perfect timing."

Brooke grins. "Figures. Hey Billy!" She watches the boys bro-hug and says, "That is kind of what we were talking about. We are a tribe, so work as that together. Garou and Kin, Tech and Mage and whatever else we have. Put are puzzle pieces together to form a group."

Fury nods to Billy, offering a weary smile and a wave. "Hey, Billy, how you doin'?" He looks back to Jake with a nod as well. "I had a talk with Halle a while back. She had some good ideas I'ma start workin' on. Sure would be helpful to have some fellow techs in on it with me." He nods to Brooke. "I saw your chops when we was hackin' that drone. I'd be honored to work with ya on some projects."

Billy dusts himself off a bit before bro huggin it up with Jake, and uses his already dirty shirt to wipe off his face. Surprisingly enough, it's somewhat effective. "Oh, you're talking about the thing! Outstanding!" He directs the following mostly to Furio, saying, "Brooke and I got some bare bones things started up the other day, but here's what we've got so far and some ideas I had that I'm just gonna go ahead and implement. We're meeting as a tribe no matter what on the new moon for a proper pow wow, update session, and to just plain do stuff and have fun together as a tribe. We need the get-to-know-you time all around I think, so it'll be good for us. I'll throw out regular calls to meet during the month for short brainstorming sessions. Brooke's helping me get our network here at the Haven nice and secure so we can use it as a central hub for the GlassWalker Net on a local scale so we can keep track of data, ideas, concerns, and projects in progress." OOCly speaking, Brooke's gonna make a wiki page we can reference to check project assignments and results, and compile Stuff We Know as well as plot data.

Jake clams up while the techno-types are powwowwing and just stays quiet while the others are talking.

Brooke nods to Furio, "Together, sounds great. to me." She continues, "I like the sound of the set dates for the monthly meeting. I'll get the local website network up and secured here very soon. Then we can all add our own input and keep each other up to date."

Fury nods. "Good deal," he says. "One o' the ideas Halle had for me was encryptin' everyone's smartphones, so we can talk openly without worryin' 'bout eavesdroppers. I think that's a fantastic idea."

Billy nods with pleased pride at Brooke, and then follows that up for a nod at Furio, heading to one of the available work stations, "Yes, that's the first project we came up with and I think it's more suited as a Furio Job than anything." From the workstation he gets out a couple of new phone boxes to bring to Furio, each containing a brand new instance of different models of phones. "This is too mass-object for a Theurge without causing some pretty extreme stress, but a mage should be able to handle the mass production of something appropriate. So, here's some test phones for you to work on. What we need specifically is something small and unobtrusive that can be patched into any sort of phone with minimal hassle, that way no one's without their phone too long, and so that our less tech loving brethren don't feel any more weird about the patch than they do about the phone itself. Specifically, it needs to encrypt calls and texts, and block outside manipulation of the technology. No turning it on remotely, accessing the camera or the mic, no covert downloading of the phone's info or anything like that. These are weaknesses that we all carry into our most sensitive meetings and places, we can't afford to ignore a security hole like that. Think you can handle that?"

Fury nods his head. "I sure can," he says to Billy. He produces his own phone. "I use a Hypertech chip grafted into my phone's logic circuits. Provides better encryption n' anything commercially available. I can install the same chip into any standard smartphone in a matter o' minutes. It's just a matter o' gettin' to everyone an' doin' the work. I'd be happy to fabricate a batch of 'em an' set to work."

Brooke grins, "Interesting idea. If you can fabricate a batch of them, we could work as a team to install them then."

"Great!" Billy says with a grin, "Run it through the test phones first just in case, to make sure there's no bugs or any sort of compatibility issues at all. I've seen some of the Garou using older model clamshells and the like, so we'll want to make certain it's going to work for all the models, run some tests, and if it's got a clean bill then we'll start setting up call-ins to get people's phones patched." He nods with a gesture to Brooke, "Yes, if it doesn't require actual magic to install it, we can group work this thing, do some house calls, and get this swept through the local Sept in no time. We can see about offering the same to the Fera as well and get all our shape changer bases covered phone wise." While chattering, Billy heads to a terminal to update the budding project files with Furio's phone fix set as in-progress.

Fury nods his head. "Sure thing, Billy," he says. He picks up the test phones, looking them over in turn before finding pockets for them. He looks to Brooke with a wince. "My Hypertech is pretty specialized stuff," he says. "I'd be happy to teach you the basics, but without that knowledge, there's a lotta concepts you won't be able to grasp."

Brooke grins, "One thing about me - I'm always learning and ready to soak in more knowledge. Bring it on." She laughs.

Jake continues to smile as he listens even though what he's really hearing is '我使用嫁接到手机逻辑电路的超高频芯片'。"See, this is exactly what I was hoping you all could do. Work together and come up with some really cool shit." Yeah, rock on you three!

Billy gets stuff updated! "Good lead in to the second order of business, knowledge trading! Granted, not all the tribe has had a chance to come together and decide on what and how yet, BUT, we each need to pick a thing we're good at and teach it to the rest of the tribe. Learning Hypertech would be a great idea and better allow us to work together. I've got decades of war training stuck in my head so I figure I can teach anything combative, or how to make and disarm bombs or something. As we each decide on a thing we can share, I'll get those added in there on the DB so we all know where we can go for something."

Fury nods his head. "Good deal. We'll get together some time, an' I'll start runnin' some o' the basics by ya. I got no doubt you'll pick it up quick, sharp as you are with tech," he says. He offers Jake a smile, and then nods to Billy. "I can teach both mundane n' Hypertech, for sure. Computer skills." He pauses. "'course, I can also teach finances, if anyone ever needed that. Don't see it really bein' applicable here, though. I'd sure be down for more combat trainin' though. I'm okay, but I'd like to be better."

Brooke replies, "Montana can help with flying planes, and I talked to Michael, and he can not only teach flying planes, but helicopters as well."

Jake shakes his head to Furio. "Finances is -always- important. True, we have a good supply of money with all our talented Kin but it never hurts to have more. I lived most of my life unable to even pay my rent half the time and let me tell you...having money is TONS better. If there's someone you can teach finances to...please go for it. And as far as combat training, if you need someone outside of the Glass Walker sphere I'd be happy to offer my assistance."

Billy tap tap taps away at the computer, updating Stuff. "Okay, what was next... Phones, check.. skills, check... OH, resource pooling. Specifically as a tribe, we need to info share with each other and partner up on some agreed upon goals and acquisitions, and make the Tech Haven here a proper Home Base for the tribe for the betterment of the Sept at large. This'll be something we need to chat about during our next real brain storming session, but basically uh.. Working out what two people are going to team up and weasel their way into the governmental sector, or the legal or bureaucratic sector, or what two man team is going to work on acquiring us some shared allies, or what have you." OOCly speaking, putting the Home Base thing to work for the GWs, getting people to invest in that background and coming up with what we need to rock the city wolf thing.

Brooke nods, "I already have some government contacts, and so does Montana and Michael. I'm sure one of them would team up with me on that, unless someone else wants to. This couple be very beneficial for the tribe and the Sept in the end if we do that."

Jake just looks pleased as punch at what he's hearing. "Sounds like you all are making great progress and I'm excited about everything I've been hearing. Excellent ideas all of you."

Fury nods his head. "I don't have much in the way of personal contacts, but I do got plenty of influence in the financial markets," he says. "I'll be happy to leverage that however we need it. But that'll mostly be limited to lines o' credit. Which I got plenty to spare." He chuckles softly. "Bein' a multi-millionaire is a superpower all by itself. Just ask Tony Stark, ah?"

Billy nods his head to that and passes off the computer to Brooke so she can do some stuff while her player's AFK. "Fortunately, the creation of this Glass Walker hub won't directly interfere with any of your existing resources. Like uh.., if Brooke and Michael already have a bunch of Governmental contacts, those will stay *their* contacts, and we'd be cultivating a whole separate batch of contacts specifically for the tribe as a whole to use. Or if you already have a ton of financial influence, that would stay *your* influence, and you'd be starting a whole separate batch of influence for the tribe. So personal resources will stay personal, and tribe resources will stay tribal, and that way no one's having to share what's already basically their territory with other people. Make sense?"

Jake, Furio, Billy and Brooke are all huddled together having what seems to be a very positive talk. Everyone is smiling and there is a 'gung ho' atmosphere that is palpable. Jake smiles wider and nods. "I sure wish Alessio could be in on all this but he's in and out of town so much that I'm afraid he wouldn't be able to add much. Sounds like you all have it completely under control."

Bronwyn hops down the stairs, arguing with .. something. "No, YOU stay over there, you little fucker." She POINTS. She's .. well.. if you can see the Umbra, she's yelling at a Spider. If you can't, she's just yelling at the air. That happens sometimes. Anyway, she has in her hand a large box with a few holes in it. She looks around quickly, careful not to touch ANYTHING. "I let myself in. Where's that Very Good Boy? I have something for him."

Billy makes a mental note, saying, "I'll reach out to Alessio about it, and we'll see what he says. Even if he's not here in person, he might still be able to contribute to the home base, or with ideas, or even teaching skills at odd hours." I also realize I completely forgot Alessio on my mass mail about brain storming and what not. Whoops... Billy beams a smile at Jake and says, "Hopefully! At this rate, anyone that's not feeling involved will only have themselves to blame with as many steps as we're going to be implementing to make this a productive and inclusive affair." He looks up when his name is mentioned, and would be thumping his tail if he had one. "I am! I'm a Very Good Boy!!" Bronwyn has only just arrived a second ago, while the rest are having a powwow and getting some productive vibes going on.

Fury nods his head. He looks up and around. "I'm the only one who smokes, ain't I?" he mutters. "Gonna have to see 'bout installin' an ionizer, so I can have a cigar while I'm down here without botherin' anybody." He looks back to Billy. "I hear ya, Billy. An'--" Suddenly, there's Bronwyn. "Oh. Hey Bronwyn. Who, ah... who ya talkin' to?" he asks, scratching the back of his head curiously.

Brooke looks up from the computer, hearing another voice she recognizes. it has been awhile though. "I'll get our GlassWalker.net local server up and running over the weekend, and make sure everyone in the tribe gets a message about it."

Bronwyn edges around a Weavery looking spirit and makes a little hissing sound, then thrusts the cardboard box at Billy. "Here. For your collection." She nods over toward the glass wall. "They're really cute and they look like owls wearing coats that have done too much meth AND..." She leans over to whisper. "They glow in the dark, dude. Like.. like roaches aren't weird ENOUGH with all their skittering. They GLOW in the fucking DARK and it's all natural and not at all barfed up with Weaver juice." She bounces a little on her toes with excitement. "Open it and see. There's about like 5 in there, couple of dudes and the rest girls so you can have a whole wall of glowing roach bugs." To Furio, she answers by jerking her finger in the direction of.. nothing. "Him. Bastard. Hate those guys." Then she blows a kiss to Jake. "Hi, Jake!"

Jake looks over at Bronwyn and grins. "Hi backatcha. I don't think that spider is going to come any closer. I think you scared it. How are you doing?" He nods to Billy. "If I hear from The Captain I'll ask him to try and get in touch as well. His schedule is also all over the place but the guy has tons of talent that would come in handy. He has a great military mind and...well, his knowledge of firearms is incredible too." He then grins at Fury. "I'm sure you can figure out something with the cigars."

Branton comes down the stairs, chatting with someone in a language that's obviously not English. He's making an attempt at being soothing and when he comes into view he's apparently addressing....his empty hand. He looks up and smiles "Evening everyone." <UMBRA> Branton is cradling a little spirit rat that looks like its seen better days

"Excellent idea, Furio, add that to your to-do list." Billy says, stamping his approval on ionizer installations. But now he has A BOX! He pops it open and his face lights up, "Oh wow, they're so heckin neat lookin! Thanks, sir!" He carries the box over towards the glass tree, and on the way passes Branton, "Hello, sir!" he greets, and pops open a little port in one of the branches so that he can start giving the little bugs in the box a new home, one roach at a time. "Here you go, little fellas, have some new brothers and sisters to play with!" He also nods to Jake, "Good good! Yes, I was thinking his current work load might get in the way of him being here much, but that might change in the future."

Brooke stands up, away from the computer and waves to Bronwyn and Branton. "Hi!"

"Better fucking not," Bronwyn says, eying the thing, and turns her attention to Branton and his invisible friend and then back to Billy and she BOUNCES a little. "Turn off the lights. So you can all see it. It's SO cool." She's not been this excited about anything since she got to burn down the Indian Outlaw Saloon the FIRST time.

Jake offers Branton a wave and smiles at the guy. "Hey, long time no see." He winks. "Good to see you." He glances inside Billy's box and nods to him. "Yeah, he's still out training I believe but he'll be checking in once he's back in town. If I see him before you do I'll fill him in on what's happening and have him contact you."

Branton leans down to set something that isn't there on the floor as he nods back and steps over to the light switch so everyone can get a better look at the glowing roaches "Those are so cool."

Billy starts to wave at Branton to do the thing, but he's already on it! The weird glowing roaches start spreading through the branch of the glass tree on their way to explore thing and meet new little roach bros. Hooray, we have radroaches!! "That's so neat! I hope they make little roaches in there, that'd be *heckin* cool!"

Brooke shakes her head, grinning. "That is pretty cool."
