Evening at the Kinfolk House Pt1
Lleutrim brings Kaati, a kinfolk he has sniffed out as kin, so she can accept this information, and learn her place. Waziyata nearly frenzies, and that causes some words between several due to reactions.
IC Date February 15th, 2019 - Evening
Players Branton, Bryan, Dragomir, Kaati, Lleutrim, Journey, Ryla, Skully, Waziyata
Location Kinfolk House
Spheres Gaian Garou Kinfolk Shifter

Donnachaidh looks a little crestfallen at Kaati's words and her likely retreat. "You can leave if you want to." He does look a little crestfallen but he's not about to jump on her. Instead, Lleu turns his head as /Branton/ leaps clear over the house like a super hero. Lleu lifts up his hands and golf claps, "Very nice! You need a cape so you can get yourself sucked into jet engines while performing your art!"

Oh Bryan, where art thou? Lleu lifts a brow at his fellow Garou.

The movie quote is... helpful. Kaati's eyebrows shoot up, but at least she doesn't go running for the proverbial hills. Ocean. Woods. And then she just stares, practically unblinking. Belatedly, the woman gives a small shake of her head and looks over to Bryan. "I'm not," she says quietly. "At least, I don't think so. There's been some sort of-- mistake, or something." She focuses on Lleutrim, then, her expression serious. "Look, I-- I want to help," the woman says awkwardly. "We're on the same side. But-- but I don't want people thinking I'm something I'm not. I don't want to intrude where I h--" A slight hesitation, and a steadying breath. "Where I have no right to be," she says, words distinct and clear.

It's been about an hour since sunset and things are normally fairly calm and quiet here. So when someone hurtles over the house, screaming gibberish and laughing hysterically, it draws attention. There is a crashing through the woods and a white and grey wolf darts out onto the grounds, ears and tail up and alert, lips curled back into a half snarl as she trots into the light and looks about. Waziyata is half bristled, ready to spring upon the spaceman who has surely invaded. But after a moment, she hesitates, head tilting a little and tail lowering just a bit as she looks toward Bryan and Lleu and barks. <<Trouble?>>

Ryla arrives with a squish of her sneakers - yes, she swapped out the heels for this afternoon/evening as she went to visit places in the forest. But her hair is /still/ perfect. The 5' tall blonde walks in just in time to see Branton go all superman, and has to golf clap for him. "It's just one surprise after another here." She comes further in toward this place, again thankfully recognizing a couple of people. "It seems wherever I go, I seem to run into you, Battle Singer'rhya." She still needs to assess the scene before she says too much more.

Bryan Osborn turns back to Kaati and his brow arches and he looks at Lleutrim and then clears his throat. "What is it that you think you aren't, if you don't mind me asking."

Branton grins broadly at Lleu and Bryan "I've been thinking about doing that for like a week. I knew I could jump up to the roof, wasn't sure if the two enchantments together were strong enough to clear the whole thing." Then to Kaati he offers "If you made it this far, odds are probably in your favor."

Donnachaidh's leaning with his butt against the seat of his motorcycle, the beat up Harley Softail with Kaati near to her own bike. Lleu's head turns around as Waziyata comes charging out of the trees and wuffs her question. He smiles to the wolf, "Everything's fine, Puddle Jumper. Branton was just trying out some new toy and leapt over the house."

Another squint at Kaati, "That's nonsense." Lleu says, "I told you, we can sense if you are Kinfolk. Leastwise /I/ can and you definitely are, even if you want to stand there and call me a liar." Yeah, now he sounds a little irritated with the woman.

A slow breath and he looks to Ryla at her greeting. Lleu chuckles, "I guess I get around. Ryla, this is Kaati, a kinfolk I met in town. Only, she doesn't think she's kinfolk and won't believe me."

Mora remembers she had something to do as she goes back to the dolly full of packages. Carting them off she disappears in the cabin areas.

"Hang me, oh hang me/I'll be dead an' gone," comes the booming baritone of Skully as he moseys along, coming out of the woods with sack over his shoulder and a bundle of kindling under his arm. The huge metis is a bit dirty and grass-stained, but seems in jolly spirits, despite the melancholy tone of his song. "Wouldn't mind the hangin'/but the layin' in the grave so long, oh/I been... all aroun' this world."

The gargantuan cyclops lopes to the fringes of the small crowd, quirking an eyebrow over his eye patch, and asks no one in particular, "Somethin' up?". He sets his kindling on the ground and hangs his rucksack on a hook, seeing who's got the answer.

Kaati ...*watches*. The wolf, and then Bryan, and then questions. All the while, the tension in her posture increases, a visible sign of her readiness to move. She looks over to Lleutrim and shakes her head quickly. "I didn't--"

...Cue singing. Singing can't be too bad, and there's almost a touch of hope in her eyes until Skully emerges from the woods. Now *he* is likely to be the biggest threat, and there's a subtle straightening of her posture as if she's steeling herself to face said threat. "Nothing," she says, her voice quiet and guarded.

Bryan Osborn steps between Skully and Kaati and gives her a reassuring smile. "Kaati? Is that your name? I'm Bryan. Look at me, okay? Ignore grumpy gus here, ignore Skully. Just look at me. You are absolutely safe here. If you don't mind, I would like to check and see if you ARE kin. Mistakes can be made and people can be wrong, but I'm batting a thousand. But you have to calm down, for real, because people DO get nervous around nervous people and we want nothing more than to help you. Okay?"

Ryla steps forward, the Therapist is IN the house. But as Bryan steps in, she waits on standby, giving that concerned sympathetic look she was trained to give to patients. She checks her hair absent mindedly to be sure it is in place in that French twist, and pulls open her purse to pull out a writing tablet and pen to take notes.

Branton backs off to the porch and stays clear, crowding the new person is getting crowded in such a stressful situation.

Lleutrim sighs from where he is half seated on the side of his motorcycle. "Kaati, I gave you my word. These are my friends, my /family/ if you will. I promised you that you'd be safe here. Nobody's going to hurt you. If they tried, I and a bunch of others here would get into their face and stop them." He gestures towards the huge man who just came out of the trees and walked up, "This is Skully and he's a good friend of mine too. You won't meet a more gentle giant. He's the Den father here. Takes care of /children/ for Pete's sake, doesn't /eat/ them. We aren't all a bunch of monsters, whatever you have seen." Bryan's stepped up and Lleu just lets him try to talk to her.

The white and grey wolf stands ready, but confused, looking slowly over the clearing, scenting the air, ears moving this way and that. But Lleu calls out to her and she looks to him. Then, after another moment's inspection of the area, her stance begins to relax. She eyes Branton a moment before her tongue lolls out and she turns to stalk toward Lleutrim, tail wagging low and slow, a friendly greeting.

As she approaches the man, her ears perk up again and her mouth closes, giving Kaati a curious look, sniffing at the air a moment before she licks her nose and looks back to Lleutrim to chuff. <<Lost Kin? You are sure?>>

Skully notes the expression and change of tone from the unfamiliar Kaati, and turns his one eye to her, tilting his head to the side. He hooks thumbs through his belt loops and watches Bryan step in front of him with an amused grin, then rumbles in a voice like Baloo from The Jungle Book, "Ignore Skully, huh? Well, I guess that's all right; I ain't no trouble anyhow, ma'am. Promise you ain't got nuthin' to worry about from simple ol' me."

The goliath Ahroun notes a number of new faces around, keeping that broad, cheerful grin on his face before looking to Lleutrim. "Looks like I been too long away buildin' my house. Good to see you, Little Brother. Looks like you brought home a frightened rabbit. No worries, rabbit; I ain't gonna chase ya.". That said, the big man sits on the ground and folds his legs, putting his hands on his knees, all so he's not looming so tall any longer.

Miraculously, Kaati actually does as Bryan suggests. Her posture's arrow-straight, the set of her chin practically defiant, but she listens both to the tall man--well, not so take with Skully around--and to Lleutrim. There's a clear and definite effort to settle her breathing.

When Skully calls her a rabbit, though, Kaati looks over to the gentle giant sharply. The heat in her eyes doesn't go as far as anger, not really, but she is definitely stung. "Rabbit is *prey*," she says, the word touched with contempt. "I am not." After a moment, she cuts her gaze back to Lleutrim and gives him a little nod, a tacit apology.

Donnachaidh leaves his bike to give Kaati more space but remain in sight. Lleu puts out a hand to rub Wazi's white pelt, "Yes, I'm sure. I wouldn't have brought her here if I wasn't. She agreed to come meet some of you. I guess she's having second thoughts. Too many people at once, maybe." He takes a seat on the grass and hangs his arms loosely over the white wolf's back, watching the others. "She says she's a Spirit Speaker, whatever that means."

An up nod to Skully, "That's right. You probably haven't met Ryla yet either."

Kaati's bucking up and showing some grit. Not a bad sign. Lleu returns her slight nod to try and encourage her now he's backed off to give her some space.

Bryan Osborn nods to Kaati, letting her have that moment before he smiles. Just that. "Okay. Kaati, right now, you're ACTING like prey. Do I have your permission to verify whether or not you're kinfolk? I don't have to touch you. I don't have to do anything weird. I just want your permission to see if you belong here. If you don't, we'll just drive you back to town or you can leave or whatever. If you DO, then we need you to accept what we say."

Branton nods as he hears Lleutrim call her a spirit speaker and chimes in from over on the porch "/Spirit/ Speaker? Or Dream Speaker? The distinction's rather important. Kind of a squares and rectangles thing though."

Skully laughs heartily at Kaati's defiant response, holding his big hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay, you've convinced me," he rumbles good-naturedly from his spot on the ground, still smiling at Kaati. "You ain't prey. Still pretty twitchy, though. Guess you get to be a mink, then. I don't mess with minks, an' I won't mess with you, ma'am. Count on it."

The big ol' lug looks back to Lleutrim, nodding once in agreement. "Been busy knockin' together my home an' such. I haven't had the pleasure. Figured I'd meander down an' cook somethin' tonight an' fix that, an' turns out the crowd was already out front. Guess that'd be enough to rattle anyone, be they rabbit, mink, or otherwise.".

Waziyata's tail wags a bit longer, beating against Lleu's back as the man settles in next to her. She sniffs at the air a few more moments, ears up and attention focused on Kaati. Then, she sits down and her tongue lolls out. Then she turns to look at Lleu, panting a silent wolf's laugh right in the man's face. <<She smells like Many Names, when he was still silly.>>

The tail thumps and swishes a bit against the grass as the wolf has her laugh, gaze returning to the strange woman and the scene unfolding around her, head ducked down and shoulders slouched forward - an amused canine enjoying her nightly dose of the Two Legs Show.

A flush darkens Kaati's complexion by several shades, at Bryan's words. The perceptive might notice a small scar at one side of her throat, the neat-edged line made by a sharp blade, standing out white against the ruddy skin. She straightens to her full (scant) height, and gives the man a small nod in answer.

When Branton asks his questions, she looks over to him sharply. The wariness ratchet5s up a notch, as she gives him a small nod. "Yeah," she says, very quietly.

Bryan Osborn nods to Kaati and gives her another smile. Then he glances over at Branton. "B man, you want to help out here?" Then back to Kaati. "Okay. Alright. So I'm going to do this, alright? Will you trust me to know what I'm doing?"

Lleutrim ughs at Wazi's nasty ass dog breath and pushes her face out of his, "Damn, don't you ever brush your teeth or use mouthwash? Silly lupus, you smell like you have been eating road kill." Still, he thumps her ribs affectionately and looks back to Skully, "Wazi and I need to talk to you about a trip we are taking. We'd like to ask for some help, of you and your pack. If you have a little time to speak with us in your office. Shouldn't take long." Cue Dragomir's arrival.

Branton nods at Bryan and steps forward to join Bryan "Sure." and he heads over to say to Kaati "I'm Branton Kholer, if you're hooked into the local community already I'm the artificer people go to for ritual tools and such. If you need the phone number for the Dreamspeaker council rep I can put you in touch with him and some other folks."(re)

Somewhere far away, the Imperial Death march music begins - but here, Dragomir walks up towards the Kinfolk House. Taking a moment to look around as though it has been a few dozen years since he has seen the place. The man is wearing a dull silvery-grey thin-fabric suit with a white button down shirt left open to expose his chest. Half-gloved hands rest within his pockets, and the man's light grey hand-made leather shoes walk softly on the ground as he walks forward. His hair has been shaped up, in a buzz-short mohawk and his face recently shaved to a tight goatee. Intense blue eyes take a moment to look around, piercing and studious of the surroundings. There is a calmness that rests barely over a pillar of rage with this man.

Skully keeps his seat on the ground while Bryan deals with the uneasy prospective Kinfolk, turning to Lleutrim and shrugging his shoulders. He speaks more quietly, trying to keep from interrupting the business with Kaati. "Sure, we can talk, once this is settled. Don't wanna pull you away right at the heart of it an' spook her more or nuthin'. But if'n you got a matter to discuss, I got two good ears to hear it."

Kaati gives Bryan another small, guarded nod. When Branton speaks, her brow furrows at his words, and she studies him for a moment in apparent confusion. The sharp gaze flickers briefly to Lleutrim and Skully, but then she turns abruptly to look down the road and watch yet another stranger approach. As Dragomir gets closer, the young woman's pointed chin comes up, and takes a path slightly to one side; she squares her shoulders visibly, watching the man as if he's a greater threat than the seven-foot-tall giant. Which, no doubt, he is.

Bryan Osborn nods to Kaati after a moment, just watching her range of emotions on her face, then nods. "Okay, Kaati. You are most definitely kin. It's in there. Maybe it's buried a little bit, but if you look.. If you REALLY look deep, like I just did, it's there. Maybe not your mother or father, maybe not your great, great, great grandfather even, but it's there. You most definitely have the wolf blood." He glances briefly over at Branton, just barely, only with his eyes. "Branton, tell her a little about yourself, would you?"

Waziyata wags her tail again as Lleu pushes her head again, giving a groaning sort of sound in reply before trying to duck her head under his arm and swing it back around to put her muzzle right back in the man's face. She stands up again, turning and frisking a bit in place as she presses in close to press the attack: dog breath and a slimy tongue licking his face, the lupus nearly vibrating with the wild wagging of her tail. <<You are a Monkey!>> It's repeated several times during the 'attack' on the Galliard.

Ryla looks to Dragomir and waves in a very fast hyper speed motion, actually happy to see the Silver Fang? But hey there is also a wolf up in Lleu's face, and licking him? Yeah, a normal person might see this all as odd, but these are not normal people by any means, and she just takes it all in.

Skully notes the full frontal assault on Lleu's face and olfactory sense and laughs to himself, shaking his head and rolling his eye. He pushes up to his feet, dusting off the dirt from sitting, and comments, "Well, that's settled, then. You're one of us. Welcome to the family, I suppose. As you may have surmised, folks call me Skully, an' as Lleu commented I'm the Den Father 'round here. Glad to be of assistance to you if'n you need somethin', ma'am. You got yourself a safe place to stay? Food to eat?" He looks kindly to Kaati, folding his hands at his waist and tilting his head to one side.

Branton grins at Bryan and chuckles before explaining to Kaati "I've only known I'm kinfolk for like just shy a year and a half and we still don't have all the ways my lineage connects worked out. That you is or ain't is the more important part."

"And you are a brat!" Lleutrim pushes Wazi's bad breath mouth out of his face again, "I'm not going to wolf around with you right now. Bad Wazi. Behave yourself and get off of me." He shoves her off of him, wary of her dump tricks and moves to get to his feet. No, he's in no mood to be romping around with her right now. Lleu wipes his face and looks irritated. He is way more interested in what Skully said, what Kaati's doing and Bryan's assessment of her blood, and now Dragomir's arrival.

"I'm heading inside to wash this crap off and get a beer. I'll be right back." Lleu heads up the steps.

Dragomir walks up towards the group, nodding his head towards the greetings received as he scans the area. The half-gloved hands within the confines of those pants pockets do not move as he stands there, tipping his head to the side faintly to watch those interacting with the new arrival and then turns his blue-eyed gaze on Wazi and Lleutrim. A brow slowly lifts, "Evening."

The wolf doesn't press the attack too hard, it only takes a few moments and protests from Lleu before she is backing off. The panting grin becomes a more serious look, ears perking up as she watches the man climb warily to his feet. Then, she adopts a less playful posture, tail and ears raising, lips curling to show just a hint of teeth. The playful demeanor becomes something more threatening, though not directly hostile - a wolf who is ready to return insult with a flash of teeth. <<Bad Monkey>> the scolding is thrown back, <<Wash stinky face inside.>> Good thing they just got Kaati calmed down.

Kaati doesn't take her eyes off Dragomir, as he approaches them; she gives him a careful little nod, and when Skully asks his questions she makes a quiet temporizing sound that sounds a lot like "...um." When she finally looks back over to Skully, she moves in such a way as to, well, not put anyone behind her or past her peripheral vision. The wolf-games don't seem to bother her, either--not nearly as much as the avalanche of people earlier. She presses her lips together as she inhales, and then she says simply, "Kaati Bellecourt. Cedar, if you'd rather. Dreamspeaker, and child of Hawk."

"Snag me one, too, wouldja?" Skully says to Lleutrim as the Galliard strolls inside to wash off the wolf slobber, though his dark eye remains on Kaati's face while managing not to stare or glare. His face is just so guileless; it's hard to read anything sinister into his bluff features. He runs a thumb along one cheek and asks, "Forgive my askin', Miz Kaati, but you look like you might have a bit'a American Indian blood. Cheekbones an' eyes are what made me think of it. Am I right?"

The big Ahroun moves to the porch of the Kinfolk House, putting his shoulders back against the wall and leaning casually. He folds his arms over his broad chest, just lounging and talking in his low, patient way.

Good. Settled. The girl looks a little less freaked out. Bryan backs away a step and finishes his goddamn donut. He's still there for moral support, but .. it isn't warm anymore. Now Bryan's sad. So he trades out his donut for his beer and slugs it down, then makes a face. Donut before beer, tummy fear. And then Dragomir comes in and he catches sight of him and lifts his beer in greeting, along with a polite nod of the head.

Chaos. The judge's gaze sweeps the area, watching the debacle with some measure of disdain. Half-gloved hands lift from the confines of those pockets, and thick arms cross over his tattooed chest. When he's acknowledged by Bryan, Dragomir nods in return. Then he sweeps his gaze past the Den Father and back towards Wazi and Lleutrim once more. There is a faint, perhaps even nearly inaudible growl the boils in the back of his throat. Likely something easily missed by human ears, but not likely to be something missed by wolven ones.

Ryla has tablet in hand - paper one - and is writing notes down now. They seem to go on and on and on. Her eyes dart up, and she turns the page over again, and more something is being written.

Branton nods at Kaati's introduction "I'm a wild talent Pyrokinetic and somewhat broadly studied sorcerer-shaman. I've you need to meet other members of the Nine Traditions I can show you where they hangout and get you whatever phone numbers you need for that connection."

Lleutrim comes back out with four beers, ice cold bitter IPA's. Two of them are handed to the one eyed Ahroun, "Here you go, Skulls." Seeing Dragomir out there, the Galliard takes a seat in a rocking chair next to Skully and pops the top on one of his cans for a drink. He looks like he was about to ask if Dragomir wanted a beer or anything else to drink but the subtle growl changes Lleu's mind. He simply says, "Eye of the Storm'rhya, good evening." What's that Ryla up to now?

Kaati listens to Skully, the lines in her forehead etching deeper. Then, abruptly, she looks over to Dragomir. "Anishinaabe--" she begins to answer, her voice a little more faint than intended, sidelong gaze still focused on the source of that inaudible growl. "Um, it's complicated." Her gaze flickers to Skully, but only for a moment; then she's looking back to the one who's radiating more Rage than the others. The tension is back, but she is trying to control her breathing, grounding herself.

Waziyata doesn't pursue Lleutrim as the man makes his way into the kinfolk house, though she does watch him as he goes, still in that ready, aggressive stance. Once he's out of sight, though, it's as if he is out of mind. The wolf's fur settles and she licks her chops, tail easing back to a comfortable, neutral position and ears beginning to relax as she turns to look at the scene around Kaati. Then, that soft growl happens and she is immediately tense again, one ear orienting on Dragomir before the wolf shifts her stance to face toward the man.

Rather than the anger that was shown to Lleutrim, the wolf gives the Athro a direct, questioning look, ears alert and expectant, tail almost straight back and motionless.

Bryan Osborn grins at Dragomir. "Nice to see you. You want something to drink? Lleutrim was just getting drinks for everyone." He's trying to keep things nice and light and chill.

Branton was still standing near Kaati, talking, and things seem to start getting tense again and Branton looks around slowly, vigilantly.

Dragomir just stares at Wazi for a moment - sharp blue eyes, focused and unflinching like one might stare down another. The faintest upturn of his top lip, is enough to measure some level of irritation if his body-language wasn't already enough. Though no words are spoken. It's a few moments, like they were about to have a Mime-off or something. Then he turns and looks up towards Lleutrim at the question and he shakes his head, "No." the simple answer, before turning to look back towards Bryan once more. "A new arrival. It will be good to see the new Den Father in action. I have been curious how this process is working." He turns his gaze towards Skully more pointedly now, and goes silent to watch.

Journey comes walking around the side of the house, looking at the group, hanging back and watching for the moment, just getting up to speed.

Skully takes his two beers with a rumbled, "Thank you kindly, Lleu," and a smile for the Fianna. One beer slips into his pocket while the other is uncapped, and he takes a swig. When Kaati speaks, he smiles and says, "I's gonna guess Ojibwe. Well. Tanyan yahi, lil' mink. Complicated's pretty normal 'round here. We don't get a whole lotta standard-issue anythin' in these woods.".

Dragomir's appearance gets a slow nod from the big Wendigo, though whether or not he's heard that growl with his big jug ears is anyone's guess. He takes another drink of his beer before saying, "Eye-a'-the-Storm," acknowledging the other man before looking to Kaati again. "You mind if'n I steal Lleutrim an' Wazi away for a bit? They apparently got somethin' to talk to me about, but I ain't wanna take away the person you came here with if'n you ain't good with that."

Lleutrim isn't saying anything. He sits in a rocking chair on the porch and is drinking one of his IPA's while he watches and listens. He's /mostly/ watching Dragomir and Wazi, though he's also keeping an eye occasionally on Kaati to see how she's doing.

Kaati manages to look away from Dragomir, and takes affront at Skully's nickname for her. She's about to speak, but Journey's movement snags her attention, and then there's another abrupt change of focus. This time, it's the wolf who has all of her silent, intense attention.

Dragomir speaks quickly, "It is proper to address a higher ranking Garou with an honorific, Weathers-the-Storm. Perhaps I have been gone for some time. Is that no longer something taught by the Den Father, or did you presume that we were casual friends, and you could leave that off?" There is a sharpness to the Judge's tone of voice, a firm reminder in his words. Yeah, probably no love lost here.

Oh! Fun! Bryan keeps his penis in his pants and lets the others wave it around. "I could show you around a little if you'd like, Kaati. Or do you PREFER Cedar?" He offers out his arm because he's a motherfucking gentleman. "And I can smell a fresh batch of donuts. Do you smell them?" GET THE KINFOLK OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY HERE ZOMG PLEASE!

When Dragomir fixes her with that look and shows that micro snarl, Waziyata's form goes incredibly still, weight shifting just slightly, shoulders and head ducking forward not in submission but in a stance exactly like a predator about to make her move. Her ears lay back, flat against her skull and the previous hinting of teeth turns to a full on show of teeth in a slow, eerie transformation from 'alert wolf' to 'scary monster'. Her fur bristles again, form beginning to grow and swell for one long moment, before the wolf makes a strangled sound -not quite a growl, not quite a yelp- and the moment is broken. She turns away sharply and stalks quickly away from the man and the crowd of people, moving away in a beeline for the campfire clearing.

Branton offers Kaati his arm and gestures up at the porch "The indoor part of the house is rather nice. And probably less crowded." Branton is trying his best to be chill.

Journey watches, and suddenly blinks, and gets into his jacket, feeling around, turning in a slow circle as he digs something out from his pocket, and, coming around to the full 360, he looks into his palm, where he holds.. Gems? A handful of glittery clear crystal objects.. look like..diamonds to the casual eye.

Ryla does not want to be in the middle of this either. She is a new Cliath, and there is obviously history here that the young therapist can tell quite clearly is ABOVE HER PAYGRADE right now. She starts to move up then Journey is doing something and what does he have. She lowers her glasses to get a better look.

"Waziyata, if you don't back down right now you are so going to get your ass kicked by /everyone/ here. Don't you /dare/ put our kinfolk in danger." Lleu looks ready to get out of that chair, his boot toes shifted and ready to stand to go back down into that lawn in a hurry if she doesn't crimp her shit down fast. Lleu's eyes have gone icy and he looks very serious. He mutters something under his breath as she turns and departs, then eyes the thing going on between Dragomir and Skully. If it's not one thing, it's another.

"My error, Eye-a'-the-Storm-/rhya/," Skully replies to Dragomir with a bow of his head, emphasizing the honorific apologetically. "Too relaxed, I s'pose. No insult intended." He drinks a bit more of his beer, visibly moving on to look back to Kaati... until he catches Wazi's growl. He looks to the lupus and frowns, saying in a deep rumble, "Whoa, Puddle Jumper... now ain't the time," but the wolf is already moving away. He watches her go, then says to Lleutrim, "Somethin' I should know?". Journey gets a head-nod and a greeting of, "Shaderunner-rhya, always good to see you," but it's absent; his attention is still on Waziyata.

Lleutrim answers Skully, "Probably her time of the month." He goes back to relaxing in the rocking chair and drinking his IPA. An up nod for "Shaderunner'rhya."

Kaati lets out a sharp, audible breath when the confrontation ends. Her focus goes back to Dragomir; she wets her lips nervously, and swallows against a sudden dryness in her throat. Her chin traces that little path again, up and sideways, baring the line of her throat in a gesture that communicates submission rather than defiance. So does the small glance away. "If it's all right with you, sir?" Yeah, she is definitely very willing to go into that house *now*.

Journey lifts one of the gems, looking at it, and lifts it to his ear, and looks around, smiling in a vague way that says he isn't really following.. are people tense?

Okay, protecting a kinfolk is important, but then Lleutrim speaks. Bryan glances over at Branton with a 'you got this, bro?' look and then turns toward Lleutrim and he just tips his head a little to the side and just.. stares. "I'm pretty sure that if a Black Fury heard you say that, she'd rip off your dick and shove it up your ass, Bro. Really. You can't say shit like that. 'Her time of the month.'"

Dragomir watches the larger man, hearing his words he waits a moment and then he nods - accepting the response. The man's thick arms uncross, and a half-gloved hand is motioned towards the Kinfolk house for Kaati to go ahead and follow the others. He then turns his head to look towards Journey, offering a deep and respectful nod. "Good evening Shaderunner-rhya." It seems this pecking order just keeps going up and up and up. Well, Journey is probably at the top, in all fairness. Dragomir turns his head to watch after Wazi and starts to head after her. "We will deal with her." he casts a look towards Lleutrim and Ryla before he makes his way after Wazi. Seems the Silver Fang has his grumpy pants on.

Kaati lets out another little breath, and looks over to Bryan with something like... pleased respect. He and Branton both get a look, as she nods--though she doesn't take either of those gentlemanly arms. "I'm gonna need a minute," she says quietly, and heads for the door of the house.

Branton looks over at Lleutrim with a slight scowl before nodding to Bryan and leads the way for Kaati to show her the inside of the Kinfolk House where it's SAFE

"Not to mention the moon says it's /your/ time'a the month, chauvinist," Skully adds after Bryan with a smirk, finishing his beer and fishing out the one in his pocket to pop the cap and start anew. Once he's had a swig and he sees Dragomir stalk off after Waziyata, he comments again to Lleutrim, "Whatever it is, I don't think she's gonna be glad of it soon enough."

Bryan Osborn points at Skully as he speaks, just an idle little finger gun. He watches Dragomir sort of from the corner of his eye, but Journey's here. This isn't his circus.

Journey turns to Dragomir, looks around, putting the handful of gemstones away and holding the single one in hand, "Hi, yeah, what's.." He looks around, shrugging. "Don't see any fur or violence, I missed something besides Lleu branded Toxic Masculinity?"

Ryla raises her brow with all the talk from the males. Seeing Wazi take off, she'd follow herself, but does not know the lupus that well, and looks like Dragomir has got this.

Rather than disappearing completely into the campfire clearing, Wazi halts on the very edge of the clearing around the kinfolk house and slips into the brush there. She makes no attempt to hide the fact that she is now hiding, instead merely settling into the brush and out of sight. Is she out there waiting for an opportune moment to strike? Probably not.

Lleutrim shrugs, "Bryan's being a douche. He'll get over it." Journey gets a grin, "Yeah well, Wazi's just being a pain in the ass. Everything's fine now." Yep, not getting riled up. The former Marine doesn't give a shit if he rumpled somebody's panties tonight. Kaati's safe, Wazi's going to get her tail chewed, and Lleu's drinking IPA.

"Bryan's being a douche?" Bryan nods just a little and then settles back to finish his beer. "Cool."

"Jus' grumpin', growlin', an' groanin', sir," Skully replies to Journey with a shrug, taking another swig of his beer and keeping the wall up with his shoulders. "New Kinfolk gal inside, kind'a skittish. Sounds like a caern... umm, a willworker. Lil' bit of a snarlin' fit from Wazi when she seen Dragomir, but none of us knows what started it. That's about the extent of it."

The big galoot then looks to Ryla, smiling broadly, and says, "Evan James Pridemore II Weathers-the-Storm, though folks call me Skully often as not. Adren Metis Wanin' Full Moon Ya'pahe 'a the Wendigo, Alpha 'a Kandula's Hope under mighty Mammoth, an' Den Father 'a this Sept. An' who might you be?"

Waziyata sits down at Around the Fire Pit.

Journey nods, looking around, "Ah well, almost Full moon after all I guess. Lleu, I got um, wind of you looking for a Talen design?" He lifts the last gem.

Ryla still is a bit, concerned. Her therapist's brain is working overtime here. Oh, but the big guy! Den Father! Lucky her! He spotted her, and before she can say anything, her hand again reaches up to check her hair, and then adjusts her glasses. The tiny 5' tall blonde replies in a fast high toned voice - and in one breath, "It is an honor to meet you, Weathers-the-Storm'rhya! I am Ryla Irina Penfield, known as Twilight's Glimmer, born on two legs at the time of the new moon, Cliath of the Silver Fangs, from House Wyrmfoe. Daughter of James Penfield, Elder Crescent Moon of the Sept of the Golden Eagle known as Glimpses-the-Unseen-Soul, son of Kristin Penfield, Elder Full Moon known as Voice-of-Blades, daughter of Darren Penfield, Elder Half Moon known as Brings-Calm-Through-the-Storm, son of Anthony Penfield, son of Theodore Penfield, Elder New Moon known as Whitestreak. I just arrived the other night, and have started meeting everyone I can. I've been to meet the Warder and seen the Caern, and met all sort of Gaians, including seen the new bear cubs!"

Dragomir allows the others to respond to Journey, perhaps confident the others can handle updating the Elder while he deals with the Full moon puppy. He approaches where Wazi is laying slowly all the same, perhaps ready in case she does decide to spring out and attack him.

Lleutrim finishes his IPA and leaves his second one unopened for someone else to enjoy. He gets up from the chair, "Skulls, I'll try to find you tomorrow. Wanted to speak with you about a trip to the Legendary Realm I'm about to take with some others. We could use a distraction, if you and your pack are willing. We can talk about it and I'll hear your thoughts upon the matter." The Fianna Galliard steps off of the porch and starts to head for his motorcycle until Journey speaks up. Lleu slows his step and turns, "Well yes, actually. Something Branton asked me to work on. Jake gave me some pointers as if I can figure out how to do it, it would emulate Luna's Armor. Another option for Kinfolk if they got caught out by surprise without a set of Branton's armor."

Skully nods and smiles patiently at the standard Ballad of Eagle's Kids that comes out in place of a Silver Fang's name, drinking his IPA quietly and taking in the mental splinter from her family tree. "Glad to have you, Twilight's Glimmer. Welcome to our preferred patch'a dirt. Glad you're findin' your way 'round. Ain't seen the bear cubs yet myself, but I intend to; I've got a close friendship to them bears."

When Lleutrim gets up and states he'll catch him later and why, Skully grinds and bows his head. "All right, then, Lleu. I'll make sure as I can be found easily, an' we'll have a talk about it. Sounds like an interestin' proposition. I look forward to hearin' the details."

Journey nods to Lleu, and lifts the gemstone. "Selene's Gift. Talen, I made it, Kinfolk useable Armor of Luna, trapped in here." He wiggles the gemstone between thumb and forefinger. "I got wind you were looking for something like this." He says to Lleu, in front of people. "So that design is gonna be made open for any who can make it."

Donnachaidh smiles, "That's wonderful. Branton's fine woven armor is pretty fantastic but I gather it takes a huge effort to make. These talens might be easier and therefore more accessible to our kin. Thank you, Shaderunner'rhya." Lleu is pleased about that. "I'd like to try making them myself, when I get back." He picks up his motorcycle helmet, about to depart for the night. Patrols to do. "I had hoped to speak with you about that a little while back and things kept coming up."

Bryan Osborn hangs back a bit, listening for now. He glances toward the door, perhaps wondering if Kaati is okay, and he peeks his head inside, then the rest of him and comes back out with another beer and a tray of donuts. HE IS GOING TO SHARE, OKAY!?

Dragomir has joined Wazi in the clearing, now seated on the ground and talking softly.

Ryla nods with that perfectly done hair of hers to Skully. "It seems you have a number of bears around here. I've met two of them and a kin in the last day. What a time to arrive it seems, hearing that there are so many that have been born. With packs forming, and babies coming, and so much going on from spiral attacks to trips planned to the umbral realms, it is quite a time to be alive, right? I do hope there is a lot more that I can get in on. Oh, if you or yours need any assistance, I am a therapist as well for all Gaians. I am also a Life Coach and can help listen and delve into what makes us all tick and offer advice." She does chatter on, doesn't she? "Thankfully, I have found family around, Eye of the Storm'rhya, of course, as well as his mate, Lights the Darkness'rhya, and those are just who I have met so far. Hopefully I will keep meeting more and more in the coming days."

Journey nods to Lleu, "Okay well have a good evening and I'll talk to Aleks about the Legendary thing. See what his vision says." He looks to Ryla and listens and looks to Skully, nodding, seems to fit with him.

Skully snags himself a donut and thanks Bryan quietly before taking a bite that removed roughly half of the Old Fashioned all at once. He seems quite happy at the treat, and washes it down with some of his beer before nodding to Ryla. "Life is strong here in Prospect, no two ways about it. Glad you're findin' your people. My pack mate, Honor's Keeper, is a Silver Fang, as well, as is Tessa, one'a our cubs. Lots'a Kinfolk 'round, too. Plenty'a folks for you to meet. I know Maksim's Silver Fang Kinfolk... I keep thinkin' there're others, but it slips my mind. I'll be sure to let folks know as you offered your services as a therapist, too; takes all kinds'a healin' to live well, an' that's the truth."

"Thank you very much, Journey. Have a good night, sir." Lleutrim looks back towards the campfire clearing where Dragomir and Waziyata are conversing. He puts his helmet on and steps over his bike, unlocks the forks and takes up the kickstand ere he turns on the ignition. It rumbles to life. After double checking it's in first gear, Lleu gives it some throttle and eases out to head out.

Abruptly, there is a blonde, teenage girl pushing herself upright beside Dragomir, sitting in the dirt by the fire. Her eyes are fixed on the dirt, body posture one of slouched dejection or discomfort. She answers him just as quietly.

Journey pockets the gem and nods, looking over the donuts thoughtfully. "Anything else interesting happening?" He asks just in general. hmm donut.

Ryla grins, "A Cub? And kinfolk, and all that? Wonderful. Again anything I can do to help, that is what I am here for." She adjusts her glasses again on her face. Granted, she does not need that accessory, it just makes her look smart. "Once I can get a chance to talk with Ms. Hawtrey, I will be setting up my office." Her eyes do keep darting around, checking on the others.

"Very nice, ma'am. I'm glad you've got the wheels in motion an' all. Let me know if'n I can be of service; I'm the one what fixes the welcome wagon an' keeps it rollin', so to speak." Skully finishes his second beer, setting the bottle beside the first, and grabs Lleu's discarded third beer to open that after finishing his Old Fashioned donut.

Bryan Osborn is just eating donuts and drinking beer, yo.
