Celeste Delacroix/Introduction
Born to a family equal parts prosperous and private, little was known about Celeste Delacroix... until two years ago, when her parents died under suspicious circumstances. Early in the investigation, it was leaked that Celeste was a 'person of interest' in the homicide, and the media cast a jaundiced eye upon the spoiled rich girl. Following months of salacious media scrutiny into the teen's hedonistic lifestyle -- during which she was judged guilty in the Court of Public Opinion of every tawdry misdeed imaginable, the least of which may have been her parents' murders -- the deaths were ruled a 'murder-suicide' and the investigation was closed. Delacroix family attorneys sued everyone who had ever had an unkind (and not demonstrably true) word to say about the heiress, and she came out of the ordeal slightly richer than before. Albeit the bulk of her inherited fortune is either in a Trust or under her Grandparents' control; a fact conveniently ignored by those who attempted to paint her as a sexually-precocious 'Menendez Sister'.
Something -- whether it be the enmity of her neighbors, the pain of memory, or a guilty conscience -- has finally driven her out of her Beverly Hills estate. She's set up a residence in Prospect and is trying to make a go of it.
