- Fame - People who follow the culinary world, or obsessively follow cooking competition shows might be familiar with the name Donnie Hayes. A few years back the young Brooklyn-born Chef took the culinary world by storm, winning numerous televised competitions, and eventually winning Iron Chef America twice, and Iron Chef Japan once, representing America. Thus, he is Iron Chef America.
