When you are old and discrepid, the world just passes you by. When you are old, you are not seen as real people any more. You live out your days in retirement communities and nursing homes, outside of society, out of view. Like a slaughterhouse, you wait your turn, no one cares.

When you are old and discrepid, you lose your dignity. Your body aches and fails, your hearing deteriorates, your eyes go blind. Society see you as baggage, unproductive, useless. They treat you as parasites, undesirable.

When you are old and discrepid, all you have left is an end to everything. One day, if you're lucky, you will go to a better place.
