Ito/Hooks

• Kyoto : Ito Yukio was born in Kyoto. He was born and mostly raised within a walled compound inside of the city. Most of the locals assumed it was a Yakuza stronghold, or something even more sinister, but it belonged to the Hakken. While he often went out into the city, and considers himself an 'urban wolf', all of his education and training went on within the stronghold, which was called 'The House Of Falling Snow'. If you spent a decent amount of time in northern Japan between 1996 and 2015, you might have met him!

• Hakken : Yukio is one of the Hakken. To make it simple, the Hakken are a branch of the Shadow Lords that socially evolved into a VERY different culture. They are modern samurai, following strict codes of Bushido mingled with the ideals of the Litany and the Beast Courts. Cultured and dangerous, they tend to be less manipulative and cutthroat then their western kind, but there are always exceptions. While many of them follow an eastern version of Grandfather Thunder, Yukio and many others turn their eyes towards the various Beast Court totems and Nushi.

• Shen : Usually it is only the few Lupus members of his Tribe who affiliate with the various races of the Courts, but Yukio and some of the other members of the newer generations see it as imperative for battle against Yomi and the Centipede. He will affiliate with the various eastern (And western) Fera eagerly, and EVEN work with the Kuei-Jin in many circumstances. Especially out west, with enemies everywhere, allies are imperative.

• Fist : Yukio is a warrior. The west would refer to him as one of the Ahroun, but in the east he would be the Fist of his group. He trains diligently with blade, tooth and claw. He has also become an enormous fan of the bow, as it was a classic weapon of the samurai. He avoids guns as a modern weapon for humans.

• Humble : If Yukio had stayed in Kyoto he could have lived a violent, if comfortable life. In America, however, he is separated from the Clan he grew up within. He works as a gardener and landscaper, mowing the lawns of people, or weeding their gardens, or similar. He enjoys the work quite a bit, in fact, and sees it as a way to be in touch with nature in an urban environment. He has few clients, however, due to being rather intimidating to most folks. Due to this, many of the people he works for are other Supernaturals, or mortal sorcerers and similar. He might not KNOW this is what they are, but they don't seem put off by his Rage, at least. If he had his way he would be tending lush and beautiful gardens, but this is better then nothing! He also has only a small apartment, and is FAR from wealthy. He is fine with this.

• Training : Always. He is always training. Whenever he is not working he can be found honing himself. He could be somewhere secluded training with his blade or bow, or his various forms of martial arts, or he could be in various gyms. Gyms are hard for him, due to scaring everyone in them, so he tends to work out outside. He runs in parks, or hiking trails, and makes the world around him his gym.

• Cooking : One of his real indulgences is food. He adores food, and making it and trying new things. He works hard to learn new recipes, but he rarely has people to cook for. He has mastered many Japanese recipes, and is now delving into other eastern foods, as well as some western ones.

• Art : Bushio teaches the warrior to be an artist. If this was Legend of the Five Rings, Ito would be Crane. He paints and sculpts and draws.

• Calm Heart : He works hard to keep his cool, and meditation and inner peace is important to him.

• Haunted : Those who can see the Restless Dead might spot the ghost of a bloodied young Japanese girl in white robes following him about sometimes. She seems malicious and borderline specter, and seems happy making his life a hell. She isn't around all the time, but when she is it can bleed over to other people.
