"My parents told me that when I was little I had imaginary friends and my eyes would follow things they couldn't see. They even took me to a doctor to make sure I was alright, which I was of course. My friends were never imaginary."
"I grew up in a horrible neighbourhood, the buildings were falling apart and there were rusty cars with no wheels in the streets. Now everywhere I go it looks like that."
"I have a third eye. That's what they call it, whoever 'they' are. I'm really perceptive, I spot even the tiniest details, and over my short life it's grown stronger and stronger. Now I see too much, it can be really horrible at times, but I've grown used to it. Mostly."
"I didn't do very well in school. I had a couple of friends when I was ten, but even they thought I was weird and stopped liking me. When the kids became teens they got real mean, I got picked on and bullied all the time, they'd call me names and insult me. They were scared of what they didn't understand, is all, but it wasn't very nice. I stopped going to school and sneaked off to the park or something instead. I don't know a lot now, but it's not so bad, I can ask lots of people to help."
"Did you know my third eye is so strong now I can see the future? It's true! That's how I pay my rent. I can see really far away too, even if there's a wall in the way. Spooky, right?"
"My parents are gone now. Sometimes. Nobody is really gone, they come back and see me on weekends. They died in a big car crash, I was there and nearly died too, but the doctors kept me alive. It was on the news, a twenty eight car pile up on the freeway. I had a metal rod from the truck we hit impaled through my chest. That was really painful. I'm alright now, and have an awesome scar.".
