Kristof/Home

There was a time, years past now, when Kristof was wild and crazy, out on the highways running with a biker gang, bringing down hell on all that got in their way. He has a criminal record as long as his arm, spent time inside for some of it, but he'd get back out and be at it all over again. He'd be off his arse drunk, the instigator of bar fights that spread out across the whole street, until the police sirens sent everyone running.
That was until they overstepped their lines, went too far south into Mexico. They don't mess around down there. Almost the whole gang was wiped out in a hit on their hideout. Kristof and a few others made it out but it wasn't pretty, the gang was over and everyone that was still breathing split and went their separate ways.
It takes something like that to change a man, open his eyes to the world, and change him it did. Kristof stayed on the road, travelled the entire stretch of the US, from New York to Seattle and back again, just for the experience of it all. He'd invite in other travellers when camping for the night, pull out his old six string and play some tunes, sing some campfire songs and perhaps tell a few stories.
He never used to look up much in the past, he never had reason to, but under that wide open sky, lazing on the plains, the night sky was a beautiful thing. He can tell you the name of almost every major star up there. You see some odd things travelling alone at night, Kristof believes he's seen everything from UFO's to Elvis.
Having travelled the length and breadth of the US, Kristof seems to be known everywhere. In every town and city he travels, there's always someone there with a smile and a welcoming mug of coffee waiting for him. He's still as tough as he used to be, age hasn't pulled him down yet, but he's a kinder man now, more understanding. Life's lessons can do that to a man.
