Maribelle/Introduction

"The world isn't what it once was. We can remember the stories, the customs, and our ancestors, but we can never go back to those times. The modern world doesn't care about nature. It doesn't care about lineages or bloodlines. The modern world is selfish and cruel. I am a child of the modern world, and it is now my place to try and do better. I am only one grain of sand on a beach, however. I can only do so much. For now, I will try to do good in the world. Maybe my example will bring more grains of sand together until there is a great hill that can withstand the force of the waves."
