Plot: Breaking Up the Blockparty/Summary

Sometimes the Union creates messes for itself. These still need to be cleaned and Sanitized. Thus an old festering boil on the Technocracy needs to be metaphorically popped: the abandoned Blockparty Videos building near the Fifth Third Strip Mall.

Once a place where the Union subtly influenced the Masses through subliminal messaging in rented videos, Blockparty went out of business in the mid-2000s due to competition from online streaming services (though some claim more direct causes for the business' failure than simply the invisible hand of the market). Regardless, Blockparty was shut down and the front abandoned.

Now, though, Deviant activity has been detected on the old grounds. To make matters worse, much of the old Union equipment for implanting the subliminal messages in the videos is still in place (it was determined to be not economical to rip out all the old equipment; it was simply left to rot). Reality Deviants getting their tentacles/claws/esoteric manipulators on Enlightened tech -- even technology that is two and a half decades out of date -- would be Bad. Time to send in the Sanitation Team! Purge the RDs, dismantle the equipment, seal the Enlightened facility and leave no footprints behind. A simple job, what could go wrong?
