Walpurga/Appearance

A matronly woman in her early sixties, Walpurga is a bundle of welcoming smiles and prim enthusiasm. Her face is a bit plump and her slight jowls betray her age, a few moles and beauty marks covered or accented with heavy makeup. Crows feet crest deep cerulean eyes, heavy-lidded and discerning. A long, aquiline nose is her most prominent feature, rounded on the end and giving her face a pulled-forward sort of look. When she speaks her accent is there, but indiscernible, with a lilting mezzo-soprano tone that seems to punctuate precisely when needed. Her hair has faded into the color of old lace, wispy and kept in a bun with a few strands about her face when exasperated.

She is five-and-a-half feet with a figure of a former beauty gone to seed with years of maternal duty, yet remains quite the looker and could pass for a woman ten years her junior. Skin is fair in tone with a hint of sun-inflicted freckles and the occasional liver spot. Years of pampered living and attention to beauty have not been completely successful at keeping the spectre of aging away, but well-preserved nonetheless. Extra girth around the hips and waist from her child-bearing years remain, but she does her best to dress to flatter her full figure and appear rubenesque and pleasant. Her clothing tends toward the conservative, favoring neutral tones in business and pastels on social outings. A pants suit and matching flats and bag will do for most occasions, but for balls and soirees there is no expense spared, with pearls and jewelry galore and silk and taffeta designer dresses. A few rings seem to be quite old, even partially damaged but polished as best as possible.
