Deep Forest - Mystic Valley(#1747RJU)

A vast lush, dense underground forest surrounds the area as thick, tangled vines creep on up past high, rising treacherous, slick, black walls. The volcanic rock face that surrounds this natural valley seems to reach on up to the brink of infinity and beyond, making it nearly impossible to climb with its slick, plate-like surface. Inside the surrounding chasm lies a dangerous lush and vibrant woods as while the deeper one goes only seems to surround the area with eyes that watch from afar. Strange, foreign sounds echo throughout as odd beasts mock those that dare to travel in here, simply waiting in hiding to prey upon the weak and less fortunate. Numerous deep, dark, twisting caverns wind ever downwards to make up the expanse of the labyrinthine structure of the underground tunnels surrounding the area.

The ceiling of the caverns reaches something of hundreds of feet tall, far beyond what the eye can see into the dark as great stalactites and stalagmites meet each other in grissled embedded rock structures of enriched, pure minerals. Differently colored crystal pools of shimmering mineral water cascade down from flowing indoor springs as a cool, eerie air seems to constantly blow through the area, howling like a banshee on the wind. Photoluminescent algae clings healthily to the rock beds near the pools of water as they glow malevolently, casting a dim light for those to see that pass through these dark paths. Deep abysmal, dark and dense caves completely surround the area as the latent sound of dripping water lightly echoing against dried, crusted, volcanic rock and stinging gentle mineral pools with their soft *Hiss* as the cool water gently touches to make a light steam in the thick air.

The pathways that lead around these eternal caverns here are exceptionally deadly and dangerous as all lies within complete darkness except for the brief moments of glittering light against soft pools of crystals, green moss, illuminated algae, and shards of silvery reflections inside cavern waterfalls. The lush, thick, dark underground forest seems to surround the dense area in tight entanglements of vines, bushes, jungle and shrubs. The trees hang down in their weeping willows as branches mix with gnarled roots that sink beneath the cracked, rocky, stygian, encrusted earth. Depths of coiled mist surround the thick humid air in a serpentine pattern as spouts of steam spit out from the dark chasms in bursts of fiery hot gaseous flames.

Trekome smirks at Acheron, "You've met the warpack... they would certainly do something that extreme if it were one of their kin being dishonored. Others... maybe just castration." He actually sounds pretty serious about that. He looks at Rianna as she approaches, expression suddenly turning blank. "Go ahead, talk."

Brent pauses before rising. "Im Sure noone is actually going to kill him... I hope.. but in anycase Im going to go and sober up." He said leaving. (sorry guys got to run, be back on later. peace)

Connor cocked his brow a bit "Sounds like I'm missin' something important here, what's goin' on?"

Rianna watches Nem walk away, then back up at Trekome, huffing a soft sigh. "Look. I wanted to say I was sorry for how I was last night," she says. "I've had some things happen to me and I'm... only kind of being able to deal with it. I wasn't mad at -you-. I wasn't mad at anyone, really. I was just... mad. And I lashed out and I shouldn't have and... I'm sorry."

George is coming down the path into the clearing, looking like he just finished a jog. He looks around to see what's going on before coming too far in.

Cherazart nods a bit and says, "I don't want Michal dead but, I'm just grieving, sorry about that. I appreciate my family being supportive"

Cynthia is is sitting up in a tree looking down on the conversating groups while offering advice of a bloody nature. She smiles at Acheron "I'm Gaian but not a Child of Gaia. But I've learned certain things. One of those things is that living enemies make plans while dead enemies make graves."

"To an outsider, yes," Acheron confirms. "To their own... maybe. Depends." And then he leaves that conversation and wanders towards Cynthia, crossing his arms. "Probably true. If you're done asking to kill people, can we talk?" He asked a thing a couple times, but the talk of punishing Michal's indiscretion probably distracted the Ratkin, yes? Yes.

Trekome narrows his eyes a moment at Rianna, "Words are nice, but show it in actions. This isn't the first time you've let your temper get to you and lashed out at people who didn't deserve it. Even worse, now you've got a temper and /power/ to go with it. I'll accept the apology, but you should really be sayings this to the Nem, /especially/ since that was her first impression of the Sept."

George peers over at Cherazart and the conversation about Michal's misbehavior and possible /murder/ "I know that Cross handed all those papers over to Eloise, she told me she was handling it. Has she come back with anything about what's going on?"

Oh look, someone higher rank then Connor. Awesome! Maybe some answers will be forthcoming now. Connor snorts a bit, crossing his arms over his chest as he lets his gaze flicker from face to face

"Psst," Nem tries again to get Cherazart's attention, studiously ignoring the conversation between Trekome and Rianna -- or at least giving the appearance of such. She offers her hand again, repeating her introduction, "Hi. I'm Mnemosyne. Or Nem, if that's easier." She does flick a glance over towards Connor, but she doesn't speak up to answer him. So totally not her place.

Duffel over a shoulder, Devlin shows up with more of those things people living at a caern might need. Seeing some faces he knows, he nods politely to a few of them in passing to drop it off and pick up an empty. Sensing a bit tension, Devlin keeps to the edge of things for the moment.

Rianna frowns. "I wanted to tell -you- first," she says. "I'm getting to her. You don't have to be mean about it. God." She turns on her heel and steps over to where Nem and Chera are standing. Waiting patiently for the two to exchange their introductions.

Cherazart shrugs to George and then looks over in Nem's direction, "Hi there" she says, "Chera, kinfolk to the Children of Gaia" she then speaks to George, "I'm not too entirely sure"

Cynthia says, "Oh I like to hear what people want before I decide what I'm going to do regardless. It lets me know what level of secrecy I need to maintain and if I need to tell my friends a lie or truth if they ask about my involvement. I don't like making my friends sad. And them being happy and comfortable is more important than something so ephemeral as truth." Cynthia slides down the side of the tree with what one might consider supernatural deftness and nods to Acheron "You wanted to talk about something? In private? Is it a secret?"

"It's nice to meet you, Chera," Nem answers after a moment, lowering her hand. She steps back a pace, sending a glance over to George, but does ultimately turn to face Rianna. There's a flicked glance past her to Trek, then a sweep of her gaze over those assembled, and then she's putting on a warm smile for the other woman. "Hello, again," she offers, extending a hand out in Rianna's direction. "We didn't get the chance to meet, last night. My name is Mnemosyne; Nem for short, if you'd like. Kin to the Fianna."

Trekome waits until Rianna turns away before looking around to see who else has stepped into the Caern. He gives each a polite nod before going over to what's left of his cooking fire and dirty dishes from much earlier and sets to cleaning things up. He glances over towards Nem and Rianna on occassion to watch and listen quietly, but otherwise stays out of it.

Acheron thinks for a moment and then nods solemnly. "Yes. A very important secret. If we could talk a moment." Heh. Yeah. Suuuuure. Big secret. Not too difficult for an experienced truthsniffer to figure out THAT's a fib. But a white lie at best, yes? Yes.

Rianna takes the offered hand, giving it a shake. "I'm. Um. Rianna Silver?" she says. "I'm Kin to the Children of Gaia. And. I'm was a total dick to you guys last night. I'm. Not usually that way. I was just. Frustrated. And angry. And. I'm sorry. I'm trying to do better. It's just a. Weird time for me right now."

George quirks an eyebrow at Chera, nodding apologetically to her conversation partners before he continues "She gave me the impression that his level of actual guilt was still being figured out but when I walked in you're talking to folks like its a done deal and you've already written him off. I know some folks were already looking for an excuse to kill him as a security risk because you married a Will-worker outside the nation and I really really hope you didn't know that."

Rather than really shaking Rianna's hand, Nem gives the other woman's hand a gentle squeeze before she releases it. "It's good to meet you, Ms. Silver." When the apology does come, she smiles again. "I understand weird times, believe me," she answers with compassion, warmth. "Please, think nothing of it. Your apology is accepted, and if there is anything that I can do to assist you in your difficult time? Please, do just let me know." While she's fairly subtle about it, she is keeping part of an eye on Trekome for his reaction to her and Rianna's conversation, and the tilt of her head just so indicates she's listening to George and Chera, as well. Attentive to everything, though the bulk of her apparent focus stays on Rianna.

Devlin blinks a bit as he hears George speak.. ok... powerful words here. One can see a bit of concern in his expression. Nothing to add for now.. yeah, more important things happening.

Cynthia does look fairly curious as she steeples her fingers in delight sliding over to Acheron "Oooh." She does look over his shoulder to George with a grin "I was thinking of killing him or at least doing something bad because my little birds had already told me some things which caused me to not want him near Cherry. But I was sorta waiting till it wouldn't be so obvious that I did it." then her attention is back on Acheron "So, do you want to talk someplace away from the noise and bustle of bloodthirsty plotting?"

Connor huffed out a breath, his head shaking a bit, time to drink! He rifles around in that satchel at his waist coming up with her personal flask, then he hears George's words and replaces the flask with a full bottle of whiskey.

Trekome looks over at George and Chera, "Pardon, sir, but there's an investigation pending?" He looks... disappointed. Well, that changes things. A lot. He hasn't forgotten about Nem though, and gives her the faintest nod.

Acheron smiles and bobs his head. "Yes. We can go... this way," he says, leading her towards the amphitheater for their sooper sekrit planning and plotting. Beware the metis cub mastermind! Muahahahahah!

Cherazart sighs a little and doesn't ignore George but says, "I didn't mean to compromise any security at all to anyone, that's the last thing on my mind" she then looks to Trekome and shrugs, "Maybe we can just let it be, I mean, I don't know anymore"

Rianna nods her head. "Well. Maybe. It's. Complicated. And. Yeah. But. It's sweet of you to offer. And. I really am sorry. I didn't mean to make your first night in the sept so shitty. So. Yeah." She looks back over towards Trekome, then to George. "Is something going on?" she asks the caern at large, making her way over to the two.

"Sweetheart, there's nothing so complicated that a spa day and a good manicure won't at least help take the edge off of," Mnemosyne answers Rianna, reaching a hand up to attempt to pat the other woman's shoulder. "Your apology really is accepted. Remind me to give you my card before either of us leaves tonight; we'll set some stress relief time up."

As Chera and George are talking about someone's fate, to the Side Devlin moves over to Rianna and Mnemosyne, "Sorry I didn't get to meet you before, Devlin Kennedy, mate to Sings of the Dream of the Fianna. I can always give you the long winded version if you want." He smiles a bit to the ladies, "Was a little busy on the guitar last night. And still looking forward to playing with you, Rianna."

George adds to Cynthia before she leaves "If you have additional evidence you should probably bring it to Eloise if you wouldn't mind. It might be important." Nods to Trekome "Eloise asked me to head off anyone putting a knife in his ear unless it winds up he really deserves it. Past that you'll have to talk to her about what resources are involved." Chera gets nodded at "Yeah, leaving be might be best for now."

Kathryn smiles and asks "Does this mean no draining his accounts and giving a donation to A charity for women who want otu of the sex trade?"

Connor sighs running a hand through his hair, he pops open the bottle of whiskey, pouring out two little spills because he didn't have a set of glasses handy for once, murmuring quietly to himself before he swigs back the bottle for his own drink

Trekome nods once to George. He still looks disappointed, but doesn't argue. "I'll hold off any actions then. It wouldn't be just without a proper investigation and sentencing, would it?" He looks at George a moment, then to Chera, "I don't think I'm stepping out of line by asking you to trust us. It'll get handled."

Cherazart nods to George and she certainly isn't going to argue with him, "I'll talk to Eloise soon. It's been very very good for me to talk to her, it really has" she then finally smiles at Trekome and tells him, "I would definitely trust you. I hope you know that"

Rianna looks back to Nem. She actually looks... touched. "Wow. Really? I... I don't know what to say. That's... dude. I haven't done anything... you know... -girly- in like... ever. That. Actually sounds kind of. I dunno. Cool. Thank you." She digs into her pockets for a convenience store receipt and a pen, dashing down her number to hold out to Nem. "Here. Text me some time, kay? But, I gotta jet. They're talking about ear-knifing, and I heard my teacher's name. But. Yeah. Cool? Cool." She looks back to George. "Who's gonna be ear-knifed?" she asks. "Is there anything I can do to help? With the investigation, not the ear-knifing, that would be gross."

"I'll give you a text soon," Nem promises Rianna with a warm smile, glancing over the number before she folds the paper up carefully and slides it into the little phone case at her side. "Cool," she agrees, and then she's turning to Devlin and offering him a pleasant smile. "Devlin Kennedy," she echoes back. "I knew you looked familiar. You probably don't recognize me, though -- I wouldn't expect you to. Mnemosyne, or Nem. It's nice to meet you."

Ok, that catches Devlin off guard a little. "thank you and nice to meet you too, Nem. I will be honest.. not sure where you might have seen me." He says to Rianna, "Take care Rianna, be safe. And let me know if you want to Jam later on. I know Meave would love to and I bet Kait would love to join in two if her classes are done with.

Connor would lift his hand in a wave for Rianna "See ya around lass." he finally decides to take a seat and settles in listening to the going on's

George nods and shrugs "I'm not involved in the investigation myself. If you want to be you'll have to talk to Eloise, it involves Willworker business that got passed to her from Cross so I'm staying well clear of it. I don't want any of them to get a sniff of me unless I have to, I haven't met any outside the Nation that I really trust except maybe Eloise's husband Axton and he has a Wolf spirit that walks with him as a Familiar so I might be a teensy biased."

Rianna bites her lower lip. "Willworker stuff?" she says. "Oh. Well. I better talk to Eloise, then. I don't know if I can help. I mean. I'm still so new to all of it. But. If you guys are involved, it's important to me." She looks back at Connor, head-tilting. "I'm... not leaving?" she says, looking at him curiously.

Trekome just gives a nod to George and a smile to Chera, "I know you do, and it's appreciated." Back to George, "I'll talk to Eloise first chance I get and see what's up. But barring any physical retaliation... can we still drain his bank accounts?"

A note pad is pulled out by Devlin, easy to see in other circumstances would have been a smart phone that is currently turned off. he jots something down... and clearly underlines it a few times before putting it away.

Flashing her most disarming smile, Nem shakes her head at Devlin lightly. "I traveled in similar circles up in Anchorage; we were never directly introduced, but a big part of my line of business is remembering faces," she explains. "And I believe one of the firms I invest in moves cargo through your holdings. It's nothing you've need be concerned about, honestly." She does tip her head when he pulls the notepad out, though there's no attempt to see what he writes down or anything.

Connor cocked his brow as he rolls over the words in his head and gives a small chuckle "Ah, well...awesome?" oh hello foot, meet mouth

George shakes his head strongly and looks particularly at Trekome and Kathryn "No. Do Nothing without Eloise saying 'go for it'. This op belongs to her and the willworkers, any strictly nation resources that nose are under heavy risk of exposure." Nods encouragingly to Rianna "It'd be good for you to talk to her in particular, get your bones established in that community early on."

Rianna nods her head a bit. "Well. I don't wanna get -too- established," she says. "I mean. The Nation is my family. You guys come first. -Always-. But. Yeah. I can go with Trekome-rhya, if he'd like." She looks back at Trekome.

Trekome nods again, "Got it. No-go unless Eloise gives the green light." Simple enough, and a real downer. He sighs. "I was hoping to be able to break the guy's ribs too..." he says with a smirk.

Cherazart nods and adds, "Eloise has my total respect. She's really helped me, very much"

Devlin nods to Nem, "Good to know, Ma always tries to work with other family businesses. Mind you when it comes to the Glasswalkers.. I swear she reads the contracts nine times herself and then sends it off to nine lawyers.." He chuckles a bit, "One of them made a bit of a fool of my older brother for being lazy.. drained the business dry and left him holding a bag full of back taxes."

Kathryn nods "cool beans." She relaxes and chuckles. "Sounds like my father. He was a raggie."

"If you have to send the contracts to nine lawyers, you need to find better lawyers," Mnemosyne tells him straight-faced, but an impish smile curves her lips up a beat later, and she laughs. "I am Fianna kin, so you've no need to fear me in that way." Because she's perfectly sweet and innocent, see.

Rianna looks to Cherazart and nods. "She's teaching me magick," she says simply, before looking back to Trekome. "But seriously, though. Who is it we want to rib-smash, and -why-? I'm still unclear on that. Talk of random violence always makes me nervous."

Cherazart smiles a bit more as she listens to the conversations continue. Her eyes go wide at Rianna's statement and she finds that interesting, "Wow, be careful though. Gaia has definitely blessed me in many ways but magic, it's quite a powerful thing"

Kathryn says "Chera's soon to be ex. I don't want to ribsmash anyone. I just want to drain his account and make a public donation to an atheist group."

George nods and grins at Rianna "That's a good thing to remember. I'm happy enough not being directly involved in whatever it is with Chera's husband. Because when I get handed a piece of paper with a name on it those stories generally only have one ending. And whatever people might believe I'm much happier when I don't have to kill anyone." Then he rounds on Kathryn and scowls "What did I say! What did I Say!" then turns to Trekome "You would be well served teaching your tribe mate some discipline and obedience. Tom has failed to."

Trekome raises a brow at George. "You do understand that I have no idea what you're talking about, right? I've heard snippets of things, but not the full story. Though, from the bits I've heard, it's a wonder no one's given the green light on Tom, which is sad to say since he was the first to show me how to step sideways."

Kathryn says "What did I say? I said I don't want to ribsmash anyone. I am not going to do anything without Eloise's goahead."

Devlin replies to Nem, "No, she has good lawyers.. just paranoid some days.. she got the better of a few of them a long time ago. I think she's still worried the other shoe will drop." he grins, "Me.. I think they like messing with her." He looks over to Chera as the facts come out. "Ah.. I am sorry things did not work out Chera. I could always change the tickets to your name only. Not hard to do.. and I bet Kathryn would love to help." He looks to George, "first class tickets to anywhere on British Airways routes. If that is ok by you, Mocks the Dark-rhya.. not like Michal deserves to travel after that.. to me. And would give her something to sink her teeth into.."

Connor cocks his brow raising to his feet, his hand dug around in that satchel to pull free another bottle of whiskey, Really this Fianna always had atleast four on him at any given time and tosses it over to George, seems as more and more snippets were coming out, some people just need some of the good stuff

She can't quite help the vaguely longing look that gets sent in Connor's direction (or, to be more accurate, at the booze). Still, Nem stays where she is, swinging her attention back to Devlin and laughing softly. Mouth opens, mouth shuts -- as he engaged with George about the topic of the hour, she falls quiet again for a moment. "It was nice meeting you properly," she tells Devlin before she's moving to slip back over to where she had been sitting originally, settling in.

Cherazart nods to Michal and says, "Thank you and well, I'd honestly rather not have him die either, but I think someone should teach him a lesson about, breaking hearts. I don't think he's taking it this seriously to have a wife and then just, hurt other women" hmmm, may be a job for the black furies.

George accepts the bottle from Connor and takes a good slug of it "As long as its understood that we're not moving against a will-worker without an /iron/ clad justification. No bank accounts, no murder, no assault, no hacking his fucking facebook page. And for fuck sake we don't even know for sure Michal's the bad guy. Eloise said to hold off so we fucking damn well will."

Trekome blinks a couple times at George. "George, we are... we just said we /wanted/ to hurt him. Not that we /will/. No one's making a move without Eloise's explicit consent on this; it's her op, not ours."

Connor would of course catch the longing look from the other Fianna, he nods over to Nem and settles the bottle he currently had down and gives it a nudge over "Feel free lass." he settles back down onto the log he was using as a seat "I'm guessin' it has more ta do with tha -talk- in general with not everyone know -all- of tha details. Jumpin' ta conclusions is fairly bad."

Cherazart mutters something about the fact that there's no cell usage out here and thinks, "Well, maybe I should start to head home so I can leave her a message"

Gleeful, that. Yes, everything is very serious, but there is alcohol being shared. Nem hops back up and shifts over to drop down to sit near to where Connor is sitting, picking the bottle up so she can take a good swallow from it. She's had more to drink the last two days than she has in the last six months, but she's certainly not complaining about that right now. "Thank you." Another swallow, and she sets the bottle back down.

George sighs and passes the bottle to....Rianna if she wants as he nods to Connor "Exactly." Nods to Chera "Be sure to stop and see one of the warders if you need an escort back to town." Turning to Nem he grins "Sorry if I spooked you yesterday, I can be passing easy to lose track of when I put my mind to it."

Kathryn is looking grouchy as she watches George.

Trekome nudges Kathryn gently. "You'll get your chance... just not with this one. We got our orders; sit tight and wait for more word. No big deal, there's still other corrupt corporations you can hack."

When George speaks to her, Nem stills briefly, glancing up his way a beat later and offering a pleasant smile. "It is of no concern," she tells him, "But thank you. Your apology is accepted." Yeah, she goes for the bottle again to take another drink, even if that means she's not sharing as well as she should. Somebody clearly didn't pay very good attention in kindergarten.

Connor could care less about the bottle not being shared, he still has his own flask and probably two more bottles on him any way. He had to always be ready for a party. He waits till the bottle is free of Nem before scooping it up for a swig of his own though

Devlin says, "I should perhaps head home. See how things are going and check my test colors for a car I am working on."

Cherazart begins to wave to everyone, "Well, I think I'll make my way to the city. Wouldn't hurt to at least try to call Eloise. I'm sorry I missed Lars Rhya and Bryan Rhya. Give them my love when someone can." and she slowly starts to make her way out, probably with the help of a kinfolk who may be bored.

"Nice meeting you," Nem waves to Devlin, and then to Cherazart, reclaiming the bottle once Connor has put it back down. Drinking, handing it back. Back to being able to share, yay.

Trekome makes his way over to Nem and gently rests a hand on her shoulder, "Oh, I still need to take you out for coffee and cheesecake. Cherry has a nice cafe, and some really niced baked goods."

Eloise trudges her way in, a baby in a sling about her torso. Not such an unusual sight at Roasters, but here, it's a little rare. The baby is sleeping, presumably, as there are no screaming sounds and no bad smells, so the diaper is good. She has a happy little smile on her face, thuogh her cheeks are a little red from the hike.

Devlin is on his way out as Eloise comes in, "Hello Eloise. Your pretty popular tonight. Baby ok?"

Oh. Nem's smile warms as Trek comes over to her, and she turns her head to look up at him when he puts his hand on her shoulder. "I'm not going to protest," she tells him. "Just let me know when."

Connor rolls his shoulders out a bit as he stretches his arms over his head, his gaze shifts as he hears a name he's been earing all night "Well..that's funny, someone's ears musta been itchin'"

Kathryn is being quiet.

George is just on his way out as Eloise comes in and he grins at her "I did like you said, they're holding off for now but they want to be involved." he says before he hits the trail.

Rianna is a bit off by herself. When she sees Eloise coming in, she turns on the hi-beam smile. "Miss Eloise. Hey, what's up?" She makes her way over. "Hey Lilly! OmiGAWD you get cuter every day! Yes you do! Yessss you dooo!"

Trekome smiles at Nem, "Give me a few to sort out some business and then I'll show you to the shop." He looks over at Eloise and dips his head, "Evenin', ma'am."

"Sounds like a plan," Mnemosyne (Nem) replies to Trekome agreeably, snagging the bottle again to take a swig before she looks back to Connor. "Who is that? I admit I've been a little bit lost about what's going on tonight."

Kathryn looks over at Eloise and smiles.

Sara arrives and Devlin vaporizes.. Sara's like bug-spray, only better. She slips her hands in her pockets and steps up behind Connor, keeping to herself as she gets a heading on what's going on.

Cherazart looks like she was ready to go, but when Eloise stops in she hesitates, "Hello" she says, "I was just going to try to contact you about well, they want to teach Michal a lesson. I really don't care at this point. I'm filing for divorce"

Connor would lean back against Sara, smiling warmly up at his mate. His hand digs into his satchel and comes back with his flask, offering it up to Sara before turning his attention to Nem "Not a clue, I don't really know everyone."

Eloise is assaulted. With words. She blinks at devlin, giving him a wave, smiles at Rianna, turning the baby so she can be seen a little better and nods to Cherazart with a little chuckle. "Fine. Is there a plan?"

Turning her head, Nem offers up a warm smile Sara's way, lifting a hand in greeting. Her attention swings to Cherazart at her words to Eloise though, and she tilts her head to the side just a bit. Briefly puzzled, she smoothes her expression out and just shakes her head.

Rianna bends down to coo at the baby, keeping her voice to a whisper so as not to wake the infant. Seriously, squalling, with this cave's acoustics and at least some residents with ultra-sonic hearing? Horrors. She looks back up at Eloise. "I'm not entirely sure what's going on," she says. "Can you give me some details? I want to help if I can."

Kathryn says, "I want to drain his account and transfer the money to an athiest organization like he did it on purpose.""

Trekome chuckles at Kathryn, "She has a more creative approach. I just want to use blunt force trauma if y'all found out he deserves it. Otherwise I'll sit tight and let the attorneys hammer it out."

Eloise smiles at Rianna, adjusting the baby a little bit. She looks at Kathryn and shakes her head. "No. That money came from people with a good heart, good intent. You won't touch the money that was donated to the church. And that's a dumbass idea anyway." Says the athiest. She turns her attention back to Rianna, shrugging. "Cherazart's husband cheated on her and got another woman pregnant. She's angry. I think retribution is foolish, but it's her ballgame."

Sara settles down behind Connor, offering Nem a wave in return. She unscrews the cap and without two thoughts, drains a good long draught. It's recaps and returned, the kin settling her chin on the garou's shoulder in silence.

Klenko strolls through the bawn with a thoughtful mood. He's at loose ends at the moment and it shows in his wandering stride.

Cherazart looks to Eloise, "Well, Shaul and my new friend there uhm, have some ideas. Boy, if Ameia knew about all this, she might have a cow"

Kathryn says "I didn't say touch the church's money just his and no its not." She folds her arms.

Trekome clicks his tongue and gently taps Kathryn's shoulder. "Manners." says the pot to the kettle.

Kathryn says "I didn't say touch the church's money just his and no its not. Rhya." She gives Trekome the look of doom.

"I think the issue on the table is that we have been told that you are in charge of an investigation," Mnemosyne slides to her feet, leaving Connor his bottle as she pads over to Eloise and the others. "To determine whether or not he deserves retribution. And we have been told that we cannot act unless you give permission, given -- political necessity." There's a smile, for Eloise, even as she's stepping to stand beside Trekome.

"Getting involved in someone else's bedroom problems is always a stupid idea.." but of course, that's Sara talking, and she's never had any manners. She wiggles her fingers at Eloise. Ever opinionated, she asks the gathered, "I thought Rhya was an honorific, to be used by choice or in formal occasions. Is it really necessary for a cub to cal a cliath Rhya?" Distractions. They're awesome.

Eloise nods to Kathryn. "It IS. And the church's money is tangled up with his own if he has half a brain. It isn't like he has money. That's like throwing a pebble at a bear. It's dumb as shit." Oh, someone has an opinion. She looks to Trekome and holds up a finger. "He's a willworker. We can kill garou, especially young ones. Are you a Fostern? Adren?" She eyes Kathryn again and shakes her head. "Dumb." Her eyes slide over to Nem and she nods. "If you aren't careful, you could start a war. You don't want the Garou and the Mages going head to head. There will be a HUGE loss of life. He had sex with a woman at his bachelor party and a baby was created." She shrugs. "A public.. very public .. divorce would suffice in my opinion, to make sure it doesn't happen to others."

Kathryn says "I am a glass walker. I know how to hack."

Rianna boggles. "Woah. Like. -Seriously-?" She looks back at Chera, wincing in sympathy. "-Duuude-. I am, like, -so- sorry. That suck ass, like, for -real-." She looks back up to Eloise. "But. I don't really understand. I mean, yeah, it sucks ass, like I said. But... what does this have to do with... you know? Us?"

Cherazart sighs a bit and says, "If he would stop being a serial cheater and, hurting women like this, I could live by that. Yes, I'm emotionally hurting but I have to admit I have a deeper concern since he may just decide to treat many women this way."

Pressing her lips together, Nem glances over towards Chera again, though she doesn't speak on it. Instead, she just looks back to Eloise. "So -- and I do apologize, ma'am, for my apparent thick-headedness, I tend to sometimes need things spoken very clearly -- you are _not_ granting us the permission to exact retribution, correct?"

Eloise rounds on Kathryn, sliding off the baby from around her, sling and all. The baby is handed to Rianna or Sara, whoever looks like they might be the least frightened and she moves toward Kathryn. "Little missy, I don't care if you're Donkey Kong. If you get into his accounts, then the money that was given by the church people will, at the very least, be tied up for months if it's found out. The truth is, like Rianna says, it isn't Garou business. It isn't mage business. It's PERSONAL. This is why there is so much bullshit going on. Shouldn't you be out fighting the Wyrm instead of worrying about where some horny little boy puts his worm?" This last bit is addressed to EVERYONE. "You want to do something, do it. But I don't endorse it. He's going to lose his church. You can be certain of that. The little whore that he slept with, I'm sure, will make absolutely sure of that. Would you ruin the lives of one of your own for an indiscretion? As it is, he's going to have a child that he will never see." She shrugs, turning in a full circle. "It's petty and childish. If you're bored, I'm sure the warder has plenty of suggestions on how to best spend your time."

Trekome gets cut short before he can say anything to Kathryn, then just nods. Well, that settles it then.

"So we do have your permission; thank you," Mnemosyne steps a pace back, dips into a bow, then straightens, tilting her head and looking sidelong up at Trek, lofting an eyebrow.

Kathryn says "I can't do anything and rhya, no it won't tied up. You have no idea how it works but that's ok. If you say no then I can't do it."

Trekome nudges Kathryn gently, "Just stick with no. We can find bigger fish to fry elsewhere. Probably more fun ones too since you'll actually have to bypass encryption and whatnot." Hah, he actually thinks encryption would be an issue.

Cherazart sighs a moment as she feels a bit conflicted and says, "Shaul Rhya" hmmm Rhya, perhaps out in the caern the roles of who works for who may be changed a bit? "I don't know if it's the best thing to involved the whole garou nation about this. Michal should be brought to justice somehow but, maybe that's not my call. I don't know. If you want to discuss this further we can always discuss this at the cafe and, for the record, I don't care if Michal gets hurt but I don't want anything to happen where anyone in my family gets hurt. After all, I feel like I might have just reconnected with everyone here. I don't want to ruin that"

Kathryn looks at Trekome and shrugs. She goes back to being quiet.

Trekome shakes his head to Chera, "If he gets hurt it won't be any of my doing. It's a no-go. No sense in dragging in the nation for a personal grudge; wouldn't exactly be the wisest thing." He grins at her, "Still fun to think about though, but that's as far as it'll go."

Eloise's brow SHOOTS in the air at Kathryn and she sighs quietly. "I don't understand how it works? I'm a scientist, young lady. I'm well-educated and I could probably run circles around your programs and hacks. Don't speak when you don't know what you're talking about. I DO know how it works." She nods to Trekome. "Wisdom." She steals her baby back with a sigh. "I WAS coming here for a social visit." She may or may not have missed Nem's words because of Kathryn. She nods to Cherazart. Her voice is firm, but not unkind. "He hurt you. Badly. And I get that. I do. I understand that you're upset and I'm not saying that this has to be pushed under a rug somewhere. But if the Garou as a whole go after a willworker, there will be trouble. If you want him.." she motions to Trekome.. ".. to go beat his ass, he probably deserves it. But if he takes fuzzy buddies with him? That's going to look like an attack on a willworker, brought about by a vendetta on behalf of a kin. I won't be able to stop it."

Rianna takes Lilly in her arms, carefully cradling the infant as Eloise starts lambasting. She blinks. Not quite owly-eyed, but certainly taken aback. But when Eloise finishes, she manages a bit of a smile. "That's -right-," she says to Lilly. "This is all kinda silly, isn't it? Yes it -is-!" As Eloise takes the baby back, she looks over to Cherazart. "Dude. I know I'm, like, -really- new to being a willworker. But I -have- studied the faith for, like, ever. And. I believe in the Threefold Return. Trust me. Your jackhole husband doesn't need -anything- from us or the Garou. The universe is going to see him punished all by himself. There's no need to send even -more- negative energy out, right?"

Trekome's words seem to confuse Nem briefly, and then she just shakes her head, bringing a hand up to brush her hair back from her face. "You people are confusing," she notes aside to Trek, but that's apparently as far as it goes for her. The whole thing is just bewildering. She turns back around to pad over towards Sara and Connor, flopping down beside them and going for that bottle again.

Kathryn seems rather totally offended and gets up to walk off before her mouth gets her into trouble.

Cherazart again sighs deeply and says, "I, don't think we need to put anyone else at risk then. I'm sorry, I'm just hurting but if seeking vengance on him would just cause an all out war, it's not worth it. I guess we don't need to make the situation worse. Shaul" she looks at Trekome, "I love you very much for taking the time to defend my honor I appreciate it more than you know. It may be best to just, let it go, though that's easier said than done"

Sara continues to keep her arms around Connor as Rianna's handed the fragile bundle, her chin resting on the man's broad shoulders. She shifts her weight a little bit and finally speaks again. "Miss Cherazart.. seriously. You're beautiful and rich. Just find someone else to fuck.. maybe try a garou, since nothing else under the sun seems to work out for you." Sometimes, sitting behind Connor's best.. it takes a lot more time and effort to get a hand over her mouth. Yeah. She totally just went there in a completely uninvited, public way.

Trekome smirks at Nem, "Hard lesson learned while deployed: the actions of one will reflect on the whole. Abu Grhaib made the US as a whole look like a bunch of fu-" he catches himself midswear and clears his throat, "Made us look bad. /Real/ bad. Same concept if we retaliate. It'll look like the Garou are taking it out on the willworkers. Best not to stir the hornet's nest, but I have a feeling we're not the only ones with similar sentiments, and he'll get his one way or the other." He nods to Chera, "Don't worry; karma will kick in sooner or later. A good attorney will cut him to pieces, and his reputation will be ruined. That's something that'll take a miracle and the rest of his life to regain."

Clearing her throat at Sara's words, Nem manages to not laugh. Instead, she leans over to draw with a single finger in the dirt, just random not-pattern designs. "I swear," she asides so very quietly to Connor and Sara, barely not mumbling. "They all sound like they're speaking English, but it's not...quite." Her eyes flick to Trekome at his words, but she doesn't respond, just looking back down to her dirt drawing.

NOW it's time to activate the Owly-Eye Matrix. Rianna looks at Sara. Blink blink. "Dude. -Really-?" she says. "Could you be, like, -more- insensitive? God, dude, for -real-." She shakes her head, looking back to Chera. "But... seriously, though. Vengeance doesn't fix anything. It won't change the fact that he betrayed you, or that there's going to be a kid out there growing up with some -serious- issues because he and/or she doesn't have a proper home life. I know it's hard, believe me. But. Right now, you have the moral high ground. If you go hunting for vengeance, no matter how good it might feel at the time, you sacrifice that. He's not worth it."

Kathryn is quietly heading out. She is trying to stay quit but the distraction is good.

Connor couldn't get a hand up but a bottle could work the angle well enough, and he foisted a whiskey bottle up to Sara's lips. He glances over to Nem and nods his head "I've dealt with spirits that speak more clearly. Tha jist I seem ta have gotten.." because he was AFK and skimming as he got back "Was, why are warriors of gaia worryin' about someone' elses dick?"

Eloise watches Kathryn walk away and settles herself next to Rianna so she can still peek at the baby. She nods to Cherazart's words, giving her a little smile. "Come here. Give me a hug. I'm sorry. I love you. And Lucius, I'm sure, will shred him to little pieces when he gets him in court." She holds out an arm. She relaxes, finally. Sara gets a blink as well, 40 yard stare. She nods. More or less. Whatever. She takes a breath and looks down at Lily. "No boys. Ever." Lily opens her eyes and then frowns up at her mommy, then squirms a little bit, one foot popping straight up in the air.

Nem explains, oh so quietly, "Right now, they're all arguing at each other, trying to convince one another not to do it. They've all been in agreement for several minutes, but they aren't stopping."

Klenko has been approaching the noisome group in an oblique way. He ends up standing by a tree (for quick shelter if necessary) and watching the goings on.

Cherazart has a solemn look on her face and she idly comments to Sara, "I'm glad things worked out so well for you" then Eloise offers a hug and, maybe that's just what the kin needs, love and support and no betrayal. If the hug offer is still open, the artist takes it and she says with a sad expression, "My heart wants vengance, but now my family has convinced my mind it's not a good idea. The heart, should catch up with the mind eventually. If there's going to be an all out war, let it be over something, more serious. I do appreciate all of the support everyone has given me though"

Trekome snickers a bit at Nem, "I think we're trying to show how much in agreement we are with one another so no one gets their ass kicked later." He frowns. "Dangit, I was actually doing well /not/ to swear." he says and peers over at the baby. Still happy, good; he doesn't have to panic now. He clears his throat and looks at Chera and Nem, "How about an Irish coffee and some cheesecake? And ice cream. Can follow it up with a neck rub too."

Sara coughs on the bottle, shaking her head and pushing the whiskey away. "Probably." Rianna gets for an answer. "She abandoned me when her last fiancé broke my jaw in her coffee shop, almost started a feud between this caern and an elder willworker of the cloth, and ended up getting a garou killed. I'm not a judge, I don't have to be impartial if she drags her dirty panties out in public." She flicks her gaze to Cherazart. "It worked out because I listened to the laws of my family. There's a great one in there about not making someone else wipe your ass."

Starting to reply to Trekome, Mnemosyne glances sidelong over to Sara when she speaks. Oh. There's a beat's pause before she swings her gaze back up to Trek. "I'll take another rain check," she tells him. "I think she needs it more than I do, and I'm not the sort of person she's going to find comfort with." Her smile is only briefly apologetic before she reaches again for the nearby bottle.

Eloise wraps Cherazart in a gentle, loving hug, making sure the baby isn't smooshied in the process. She leans her forehead and nose against Che's, holding each side of her face in her hands. "It will be okay, Cherazart. You have a beautiful heart, a wonderful spirit. You will be okay. I promise you that." She leans back, nodding to Trekome, letting out a little sigh. Soft, quiet. So much for a nice little daytrip with the newest kinfolk.
