RP Room 5 Babylon has settled on the top floor of a large warehouse for their halloween party. The music is loud but not overly and the whole floor has been converted for their use. For additional information see also: http://www.cityofhopemush.com/wiki/index.php/Event/Halloween

The party started, quite literally, after the sun went down. Once the city was officially bathed in darkness and the street lights turned on, the warehouse at the corner of Broadway and Second streets lit up with their projected light show to advertise their Halloween Party. The music is playing, the drinks are flowing, the costumes range from classical, 1920's flappers to the latest in latex-based creature makeup. A prize will be awarded later in the evening for funniest costume, scariest and sexiest.

Dolores comes into the party, hobbling into the converted space and into the crowd as it warms up. There's not much of a costume, other than what looks like an executioner's hood over her head. The odd thing is the holes for the eyes are set assymetrically, one slightly higher than the other, and slightly more to the side. She sniffs the air, and limps through, moving towards the bar. The whole look suggests a costume, however. And she -is- wearing a prosthetic leg.

Arrive earliesh and find the best spot, that's what they always say isn't it? And besides the Red Queen has to get herself all situated and carefully move to a good spot out of the way. She's accompanied by a man dressed like a page in blacks and reds who stays off to the side but seems to be helping her with the more intricate bits to her costume.

Knight walks in looking around as he smiles taking in the sits to see and the party going on, the knight scratches his neck a moment and then heads to one side adjusting his bracers.

The pale blue lights of the dance floor flash and pulse in time with the music while the soft, erie, green glow of the lights over the tables remain constant. People begin circulating in and around the floor - just getting the feel for the place. Not everyone has come in costume - some have come in normal 'street' clothes and in some cases, less. Guys and gals dressed in skimpy underwear wander around the floor enjoying the freedom that tonight brings. Red Queen looks towards the quiet page with his white porcelain mask and she lifts up, presumably on her toes, to whisper into the taller man's ear and he nods at her and moves away from her to go gather something for both of them to drink. The petite but detailed Queen looks for a place to lean and tilts her head watching people. Some she breaks character to smile and wiggle her fingers at and most who see her look shocked but eventually wave back. It seems that the Red Queen isn't unknown at least umong the younger crowd. She drifts towads a booth and shifts to sit daintily on the open side of one of the seats while she waits for her drinks to arrive.

Dolores is wandering around the place, hobbling through the crowd, getting a feel for it as she peers through the eye holes in her executioner's hood. It's a black pillow case, really, with eyes cut out. She limps to one of the tables, pulls herself a chair, and slumps into it, peering around. Seated, she pulls a few items from her jacket, and hunches over the table, carefully assembling a proper mask.

Nulli wanders into the warehouse, following a gaggle of laughing, costumed twentysomethings. He's granted admission, although either his costume is -really- subtle, or he hasn't remembered to wear one. He pauses inside and looks around dispassionately, studying the flashing lights and the oddly dressed people.

The DJ-controlled music pauses for a moment as a live band, a local product that's been making the scene lately called 'Steel Snowflake', starts to play. The band's lead singer, a tall, willowy girl with fire for hair and porcelain for skin grabs the mic and stands center stage as the orange-yellow lights kick up as some god-aweful notes comes out of some strange horn-like instrument played by a guy in the back.

Knight scratches the back of his neck as he holds his helmet in his hands. Deciding something he uses a leather thong to tie it to his waist a moment and then looks around being a bit of a wall flower.

The porcelain masked page returns to the Red Queen. He hands her a glass which she looks at and then sets onto the table. The page slips off to sit opposite her but seems to be someone there just keeping an eye out for the blue eyed young woman. A small group of raver kids stop by and the Little Queen breaks the character to smile and laugh and asks the two a few questions. One idly picks up the drink that she'd set down and sips at it before she lifts a hand to wave at them as they move off once more.

Kato is never going to win points for imagination. When she strides into the party, she is dressed in pretty normal clothes. With the exception of a black cape tied around her shoulders, and the white makeup she wears with little red lines trailing down from the corners of her ruby lips to simulate blood. Her mouth is slightly more fangy then normal, as it becomes apparent she is wearing those cheap dollar store vampire fang-sets. Kato is a vampire! The perky redhead moves with a lazy grace as her eyes flick through the crowd for familiar faces.

At last, after tying a fresh new length of elastic to her mask, and carving at the edge of the eye with a pocket knife, Dolores is prepared. She pulls off the executioner's hood, and instead pulls on a bird-like mask, then tugs an unstylish black hat on over her head. There. Now she stands, a 'plague doctor' and goes insult the germ theory of disease to anyone who'll hear, endlessly amused.
