At the Murder of Crows nightclub, during an Open Mic night, Floyd was tracking spectres when he was surrounded by the shadow-eaten, led by The Bullet Man - an assassin for hire. After informing Floyd that the "Masters" have contracted his obliviation, Floyd fled the Murder of Crows to to get jumped by Shades. An unlikely passerby, Adeline, helped Floyd escape the sniper crosshairs of the Bullet Man.
