Arumi comes into the lounge, and makes her way to the coffee machine tiredly, her obscure tablet in her hand, one end pressed to her stomach as she reads. Getting lots and lots of coffee. At least her new Rainbow City sandals are shiny .

Sammi comes in with his own coffee in a cheap travel mug from some gas station, as he sips it slowly. As he makes his way downtown, to the spot next to Arumi."Hello trouble." His voice is soft teasing, as his eyes look at Arumi now with a chuckle."Kill anything that might have answers yet today?"

Arumi giggles and waves. "Do.. Robinson. Hi." Her voice is a bit soft as she is definitely tired still from the weekend. Going to a couch, she puts her coffee down and flops out, tablet in her lap. "I have not killed an ything that was pointing a gun at me since last week," she giggles quietly. "How was the train?"

"It was fine." Sammi nods slowly as his hand is brings the coffee to his lips for a moment, as he speaks again softly."Take the first one down with non-lethal, they are the one that has answers." His voice is cold, as he looks over at Arumi with a chuckle."Than, you know how many, where, all that good stuff. So you don't get shot in the behind."

Arumi shakes her head. "I don't have... I mean. I don't know how I'd make a plasma rifle be non-lethal. I'll think about it I guess?" She giggles again, and takes a long drink of coffee. "Does your gun have a stun setting?"

"No I punch them, or shoot them in the knee." Sammi nods slowly watching her for a moment, as he thinks."Or you watch them, listen try to figure it out. Or you climb into the tree, millions of options.:

Arumi giggles. "So your gun is more precise and weaker than mine. Fair enough. Well, I'll let you do that if we run into more Nazis next trip. ID id some research though, have a solid grasp on German now, and did a cursory study of the language of the Aghartans."

Sammi nods slowly as he looks at her with a chuckle."Sure." His voice is cold, as he sips his coffee with a shake of his head."What about the war on earth, against the union?"

Arumi tilts her head. "Have a seat. I can tell you as much about that as you want to know."

Sammi sits down watching her for a moment, as he motions for her to go on.

Arumi sits back, shifting her tablet in her lap, and starts. "Well um, I guess I'll start from the beginning. The Order of Hermes was the first organization of people who were studying Fortean phenomena. Way back in the dark ages. IT was Lorenzo Golo of the Order of Hermes who first found Kitab al Alacir after all, though Simon later found the Greek copy, and they founded the precursor to our modern organization.

"But not everyone liked the Order of Hermes. The Order of REason was founded to oppose it. And that rivalry existed for a long, long time. In fact, when the Voltarian Order was founded, we joined the Order of Reason.

"Is that too much? Have you heard all this before? I don't want to go too fast." She sips again.

"I have been told, it has been covered, but why do you not fight in the war, was the question?" Sammi watches Arumi slowly, as he sips his coffee.

"I have been told, it has been covered, but why do you not fight in the war, was the question?" Sammi watches Arumi slowly, as he sips his coffee. As his eyes sldie over at Arumi, as he thinks for a moment as his hand is runs through his beard, stroking it slowly, as he tease out a knot."I have been informed, by Xiu. But you seem, to wish to explore, to vist the world almost to leave the world to the monster, that want power and control."

Arumi nods. "Ah well, I'll get to that." She wriggles her hips, sitting up again. "I think it's important to look at when and how the war really started. The modern war, as we know it, started around when the Order of Reason remade itself as the Technocratic Union, and started to oppose progress. Writing the Ether out of their planned consensus, and all of that. Intentionally keeping us out of space."

"Sure, Control did a lot on Earth, too, but honestly I think that inital conflict between the Electrodyne Engineers and the Void Seekers, spilling over into the Union being reformed and us leaving the Union, was the first shot in the modern war.

"But look what happened 20 years ago. I mean, Horizon is gone. Control has to be gone. We're all rebuilding in space. It's hard to fight when all the generals were either killed or cut off all at once. I don't fight, because the war is over.

"I fight for humanity's sake. Humanity must get to the stars. We can't be tied to one planet. What if the earth gets all used up, like they said in Firefly? What if a comet hits us? What about when the sun burns out? We have to get into space."

"I will protect you out there Arumi, but my fight is here as well. I will fight the union, if they make us no longer close fine. But I will fight the battle here." Sammi stands up as he looks at her with a nodding of his head."It's two things that have to be done, and I'll do them both." His eyes cold and his tone no longer warm at all, before her stands a powerful solider.

Arumi nods. "I undestand. It's what you guys do in the Ministry." She inhales deeply, looking up at him as hse still sits. "But you should know. We have a working truce in space, between the Void Engineers and the Society. At times there have been space battles. But for the most part we leave each other alone. Like... back at the Hollow Earth. The Union agent and I agreed to leave each other alone. She's not going to run to her superors and tell them I'm a Reality Deviant. Astra and I are not going to run to the council and tell everyone there's an agent. What happens in space, stays in space."

Sammi watches her for a moment, as he shakes his head."Whatever, if ou wanna play space house fine, but if I see her down here it'll be diffrent." His eyes and voice is cold, as he exhales into the air, as he shakes his head."Fucking Kids."

Arumi snorts, and smirks up at him. "That's fine." She slowly stands now. She's tired, visibly so, but she does gather herself to step right up to the large man. "But in space, it's not the Void Engineers vs the Sons of Ether, fighting for the scraps of the consensus. It's humanity versus the deep."

Sammi nods slowly as he is looking at Arumi, as he sips his coffee."Your a pain in the ass, little girl." His voice is teasing, as his hand is slides along the back of his neck, for a moment."I'm head out, I got some stuff to do."

Arumi giggles and nods. "It's my job. We're all a pain. It's why we were recruited. Safe trip back. If you see any Grays get their number for Astra?"
