Rutheford Wilmington
"Heaven, you fool? Did you ever hear of any pirates going thither? Give me hell, it's a merrier place: I'll give Roberts a salute of 13 guns at entrance."

Hooks

* Sailor - He sailed aboard the H.M.S. Nottingham during 'Queen Anne's War' as an officer and First Mate. At the end of the war, when payment was looking scarce, as was future work, he staged a coup aboard the ship and claimed it. He renamed her the 'Charity', and began sailing as a pirate captain in the Caribbean during the third and final Age of Piracy.

* Pirate - Captain Wilmington and his 'Charity' were feared from Nasau to Havana, and he captained his ship from 1716 to 1726, when he retired after the hanging of William Fly. He was noted for his infamous 'hook hand', which he earned from a Spanish Captain in 1718.

* Shipping - He runs the rather well-known 'Black Flag Shipping', a company that has existed in some form or other since 1840. They ship goods all around the globe, and still have a rather sizable ocean shipping branch. He is opening a branch in Prospect.

* Smuggling - His shipping contacts have made him a rather major individual in the smuggling world, and he is able to get almost anything anywhere.

* Life - Rutheford still lives by his old style that he could die at any moment. Because of it he grips life firmly and enjoys every moment that he can.

* Immortal - The man made a deal with a Voodoo Houngan in the mid-1700's, seeking immortality. It was granted, and his hook hand was replaced with a real hand as well. He can still be killed, but he will never age nor die from it.

* Sorceror - Legend has it that Captain Wilmington had an unbreakable hook that could cut through steel, or that his blade was far too swift and sharp to be real. Other stories say that whenever his ship was pursued, great storms would erupt with perfect timing, or that fog would rise to conceal his attacks. Some say he had made a deal with the Devil...or that he was the Devil himself.
